Are non muslims allowed to enter mosques?

Peace Reaz and idolfree
O you who believe (in Allah's Oneness and in His Messenger (Muhammad SAW)! Verily, the Mushrikun (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, and in the Message of Muhammad SAW) are Najasun (impure). So let them not come near Al-Masjid-al-Haram after this year of theirs, and if you fear poverty, Allah will enrich you if He will, out of His Bounty. Surely, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise. 928
MASJID AL HARAM
It is not a physical building because Prophet Moses and Jesus and their followers knew it, as they knew their CHILDREN. 2144
Masjid Al Haram is the restriction of the act of compliance.
Muslims are commanded to fight; therefore when executed it is an act of compliance.
Muslims are prohibited to fight under conditions, which are called the restrictions of the act of compliance.
EXCEPT THOSE who join a group, between you and whom there is a TREATY (of peace), or those who approach you with their breasts restraining from fighting you as well as fighting their own people. Had Allah willed, indeed He would have given them power over you, and they would have fought you. So if they withdraw from you, and fight not against you, and offer you peace, then Allah has OPENED NO WAY FOR YOU AGAINST THEM. 491
Now back to verse 928
So let them not come near Al-Masjid-al-Haram after this year, and if you fear poverty, Allah will enrich you if He will, out of His Bounty. Surely, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.
If the DISBELIEVERS are not allowed to come near the MASJID AL HARAM then the result will be poverty for the BELIEVERS. And IF they are allowed, then there is no fear of poverty.
So DISBELIEVERS away from the Masjid = fear of poverty.
(idolefree)Your quote
I am still reflecting on "after this year of theirs".Go about, then, in the land for four months. And know that verily ye cannot escape Allah, and that verily Allah is the humiliator of the infidels. 92
And an announcement from Allah and His apostle to the people (assembled) on the day of the Great Pilgrimage that Allah and His apostle dissolve (TREATY) obligations with the pagans. If then ye repent it were best for you; but if ye turn away know ye that ye cannot frustrate Allah. And proclaim a grievous penalty to those who reject faith. 93
Except those of the Mushrikun with whom you have a TREATY, and who have not subsequently failed you in aught, nor have supported anyone against you. SO FULFILL THEIR TREATY TO THEM to THE END OF THEIR TERM. Surely Allah loves Al- Mattaqun 94
There was no need of the TREATY OF PEACE as the believers defeated the disbelievers of Mecca and gained full control of the city.
The DISBELIEVERS were given four months time to repent and accept the terms and conditions of the Muslims if they want to live with the Muslims, or face the inevitable war. But the believers were prohibited to wage a war against those disbelievers with whom they had a treaty of peace and were further commanded to fulfill the term of the treaty of peace, which could have been for a year.
The disbelievers are impure by heart and they disbelieve in One Allah and believe in many false gods, therefore they are not fit for any TREATY and should not be allowed to come near such TREATIES. If there were no TREATY of peace, then the disbelievers fearing retribution would not stay with the believers, resulting in trade loss to the believers, which will ultimately increase poverty.
Masjid Al Haraam is the area encircling the Kaaba therefore the disbelievers are not forbidden to enter the Kaaba but the area outside it. How is it possible?
Hope you agree with my understanding
Thanks

Reaz, Masjid is your own house for Allah says a masjid is your place of safety from fear; a place of protection. Every masjid is indeed allah's house, if you do enter your houses in humility. Its sanctity as masjidul Haram is to be established by all of us by being grateful to Him for all that He had provided. We do not Praise any one's name but His in our houses. Thus the proud infidels shall never enter your masjids after this year. Fear not that you might have to lose the help of your society and its people, for Allah is bountiful, allknowing, Wise!
Masjidul haram is not the cemetry in mecca which they call Ka'aba

Peace be upon you Doctor,
How can you keep an idolworshipper out of your physical house? It is something deeper than that. You must realize that your own human body is a "house" as well as the clothes you wear.

Thank you very much for your detailed responses.
So according to your reasoning (based on the Quran), you believe that the Mushrikun should not be allowed into the mosque, for they are considered impure.
Hence it would restrict entrance only to Muslims. Wouldn't it?

peace to all,
regarding the question of whether non-muslims should be allowed to enter a mosque.........i say why not? my first exposure to islam came while visiting a Nation of Islam temple in New jersey at the request of a brother standing on the street, another time i was invited by a sister; yrs later i got an invitation to attend a wedding at a masjid, all while i was a Xtian........so i feel that we can have nonmuslims in the masjid and show the beauty of islam to non-muslims and let them see that we aren't the negative stereotypes they see in the media.......so i'm all for inviting people to the masjid

Dear all,
Islam is a system that includes all people on Earth.
Prohibition on anyone from entering a certain place due to his/her conviction is not according to Islam.
This kind of segregation is, therefore, man-made and not from God.Best regards
Ali Omar

Peace be upon you Ali Omar,
Correct, we cannot restrict another human being from going to a public place. This shows us that a "masjid" is not a physical building. It is a level(maqam) that we must achieve mentally and the rejectors , due to cause and effect, cannot enter this level of understanding, the understanding of the INTERCONNECTED LAWS that govern all things, from within to the furthermost horizon, which we are to always keep in mind(face).

We cannot do that and none can do that except when we entrust it with Allah. Be purified in your heart with the Belief. I am not agaisnt your understanding about giving less importance to the physical aspect of life. I slightly take my view differently to that of yours in that my house is my mind, not the human frame as you suggested. I live with the mind, for the mind and of the mind.

When you said "EXCEPT" above, does that mean that we CAN keep someone from a PHYSICAL house?

You have more than one house, everyting that "shelters" the real "self" is a house.
