    Peace,

Here's a thought. Everyone's "Day of judgement" starts right after you are dead.

Perhaps traditionalists confused this same logical deduction with "punishment/reward" in the grave.

    Explanation

Before you were born, you had no sense or memory of time or passage thereof. When you die, it's as if you had never been born and so again, you will not have any memory or sense of the passage of time as everything of yours rots away deep in the earth. At the time of death - when you fall into that long term sleep - you are able to sense/see the angels and everything is unhidden till you actually die and you are once again - unaware, unknowing. So when you are resurrected, it's as if you fell asleep for a couple of minutes. Perhaps that's why when the audience of the Quran asked prophet Muhammad, "when will it be (The hour of doom/day of judgement/justice/resurrection)? Say "it will perhaps be SOON" So "soon" makes sense if right after death, in a perceptual sense - you are standing before the Lord of the universe awaiting your settlement.

What do you think? Anyone who can add or alternatively invalidate points using the Quran?

      Peace,

I think to us it is as if we just die and then we regain consciousness in the courtroom of God as if there was no delay. It is something like falling asleep in the evening and waking up in the morning. We also need to remember time is a creation too to this illusive world and it may not seem the same when you leave it behind. The sensory perception in itself is a creation and the sense of time and space.

So time exists because God wanted it or otherwise it would not exist. We can observe the phenomenon because our bodies start to wither with certain cycles, but it would not necessarily have to be like that but it is a created mechanism.

But time is also depending on the rotation speed on the axis of the Earth. We could have a way longer day if the Earth rotated with a slower speed or the opposite if it rotated faster.

But if you are not part of this world and its physical laws then you will probably live under another pretense.

You have probably noticed yourself as you grow older that time feels vastly different than when you were younger. Three hours may feel like one hour when you were younger. Time is very much in the eye of the beholder.

But when your soul is no longer bound to your physical body you have in this life we do not really know how it will feel to us. It is our weak body that causes us to perceive time and make us feel impatient if there goes too long without anything happening etc. But you may have done or read about psychological studies on individuals who are seriously bad in illnesses begin to lose perception of time.

If there is no stimuli when we die then we will not be aware of anything either until we wake up again. It depends on what God has in store for us.

I am looking forward to the day God had planned for me to die myself to see how the next world will be like because the same limitations created for this test will likely no longer be enabled. It is not going to be too hot nor too cold so I suppose it works quite differently compared to our world without seasons and perhaps there will not be galaxies in the same way as in this world. I get a feeling it will seem a bit like the malaik with endless possibilities to "warp" in and out of dimensions etc and you are no longer part of the same laws of nature as in this world.

I have sometimes thought that the world will be as we want, ie we can think of something much like God and it will be as we like. Not that we create things ourselves but the energy of God is to our disposal more than ever. Even in this life it is if we have enough faith and God's favor.

      God bless you

        Salaam,

Do you guys believe our bodies will be restored?
"When we are dead and have become dust and bones, Shall then we indeed be raised again?" (Quran 5647)
''"It is God, Who sends the winds and they raise a cloud, Then leads it to a dead land and revives the earth after its death. Such is the Resurrection." (Qur'an 359)

Man thinks that, We shall not assemble his bones, Yes truly! We are able to restore his very fingers!" (Quran 753-4)

"'The day' when, We shall roll up the heavens as a recorder rolls up a written scroll. As We began the first creation We shall repeat it." (Qur'an 21104)

"On the day when the earth will be changed to other than this earth and the heavens also And they will come forth unto God, The One The Almighty." (Qur'an 14 4

There are alot of verses to consider.

                            Salaam,

Do you guys believe our bodies will be restored?
"When we are dead and have become dust and bones, Shall then we indeed be raised again?" (Quran 5647)

It will be very easy to do, given He has the DNA records of all beings..

''"It is God, Who sends the winds and they raise a cloud, Then leads it to a dead land and revives the earth after its death. Such is the Resurrection." (Qur'an 359)

This is perhaps the 'proper similitude' for 7th century audience, given the knowledge of cells, DNA etc.. has not yet been revealed to them.

Man thinks that, We shall not assemble his bones, Yes truly! We are able to restore his very fingers!" (Quran 753-4)

Not only fingers but all the bacterias inside their stomach too..

"'The day' when, We shall roll up the heavens as a recorder rolls up a written scroll. As We began the first creation We shall repeat it." (Qur'an 21104)

The big crunch, the total destruction of (this universe) space and time..
                            Afterwards another big bang...

"On the day when the earth will be changed to other than this earth and the heavens also And they will come forth unto God, The One The Almighty." (Qur'an 14 4

The results of another big bang after the big crunch..

You can't experience non-information/non-experience. There is no information being experienced if you are truly "dead", it is the same as a dreamless sleep. The Qur'an mentions how a person will be resurrected and have thought they just slept a little while since that is the impression given to them.

It really is immediate seeming, you die and you are risen up like a night's sleep.
