Salaamun alaikum Shamsul,

No, you have to get to that destination. The destination is peace both in this life and the next. Nobody in their right minds would reject the destination.
To get to a destination, you need to traverse a path. There are many paths. You can choose the path yourself. But you can never escape the walking.
So, a submitter can never escape the rules of the Quran. If he kills another soul without al-haqq, his soul own will be doomed to peril. Whether or not, he read Al-Quraan isn't relevant to his act, as long as he acted intentionally.

Peace be upon you,
My response takes a slightly different approach. I hope that the wisdom in this approach might be understood.
The word "quran" means reading. We differntiate between the God's reading(quran) and man's readings(quran) by seeing if the message is logical (does not contradict, cannot be proven false). Therefore ALL TRUTH is described as The God's reading(quran), all falsehood (readings/quran that contradicts or can be proven false) is described as stories(hadith) of man.
So one DOES need "quran" to implement the divine system, but that does not mean that one needs this book that has been given the title "Quran". This allows us to fully understand how people before 1400 years ago achieved the divine system, and how those who do not use this EXCELLENT TOOL (book that is called Quran) will also be rewarded.
We can imagine a very conscious being, who is aware of all things and reflects and meditates very mush on creation and the Mind(nafs). There comes a point when one can see the LAWS of life very clearly, they can see the interconectedness of all things(Oneness). And they can see the cause and effect of things which brings about the ENDING TIME(last day some call it). After trial and error it becomes clear that righteousness is the right path.

Salaam all,
I'm in agreement that quran is not a must means to reach the end. On the other hand though, I think it becomes a problem that once you have received the message from God, and then reject it.
-
And when a Scripture came to them from God, authenticating what is with them; while before that they were mocking those who rejected; so when what they knew came to them, they rejected it! God?s curse be upon the rejecters.
-
Miserable indeed is what they purchase with their souls, that they disbelieve in what God has sent down as a resentment that God would send down from His grace to whom He pleases of His servants; thus they have incurred wrath upon wrath. And the rejecters will have a humiliating retribution.
-
This Quran guides to that which is more upright, and it gives glad tidings to the believers who do good work that they will have a bountiful reward.
-
Whomever God guides is the truly guided one. And whomever He misguides then you will not find for them any allies except for Him. And We gather them on the Day of Resurrection on their faces, blind, mute, and deaf; their abode will be Hell. Every time it dies down, We increase for them the fire.
-
Such is their recompense that they rejected Our revelations, and they said ?If we are bones and fragments, will we be sent into a new creation??
-
Say ?Shall we inform you of the greatest losers??
-
?Those whose efforts in the worldly life were wasted while they thought they were doing good!?
-
These are the ones who rejected the revelations of their Lord and His meeting. So their works were in vain, and We will not give them any value on the Day of Resurrection.
-
That is their recompense, Hell; for what they rejected and for taking My revelations and My messengers for mockery!
-
Had We sent down this Quran to a mountain, you would have seen it trembling, crumbling, out of reverence for God. And such are the examples We cite for the people, that they may reflect.
To get to a destination, you need to traverse a path. There are many paths. You can choose the path yourself. But you can never escape the walking.
Neo Morpheus. The Oracle, she told me I'm...
Morpheus She told you exactly what you needed to hear, that's all. Neo, sooner or later you're going to realize, just as I did, there's a difference between knowing the path and walking the path. -

Salaamun alaikum Zenje,

Agreed. Once a person has recieved AL-haqq (objective truth, instead of just propagational, subjective truth), then its rejection is kufr and will kill off your imaan/conviction.
good point, zenje !

Peace be upon you MQ,
objective truth, instead of just propagational, subjective truth
That speaks volumes! D
-
Thanks Kyle !
I think the objective , undeniable truth only comes when the inner messenger speaks out to you. So we can stimulate the truth through propagation, but no more than that.
As'Salaam mquran,
Those in the Buddhist tradition call this "direct experience" of the truth, is achieved by quieting the mind, so that you may become "aware" of the true source of your "being"... Allah.
Your post are enlightening!Ma'Salaam,

I am finding that all of these "religions" are saying something very similar (probably exactly the same once all the corruptions are removed).
The Hindus call it "nirvana" (not- moving, which is stillness of thoughts/peace)
Jews call it "shalom" (peace)
Muslims call it "Salaam" (peace)
Kamitans call it "amen" (the state of undifferntiated matter, or peace)
When we maintain PEACE, we can talk to the God directly, this is how the prophets recieved the messeges they brought.

Your post are enlightening! It never fails to amaze me that the first thing Allah talks about to 'those who believe' is about directly experiecing His signs (2/104-106). In order to attain imaan/conviction, there's no substitute for this!

Agreed. That's why we need Al-Quraan, for accurate info.
