At last, I found some free minds
-
Peace everybody,
I have always thought that I was the only one who thinks that Quran should be reread and Hadith discarded. Not that I hate hadith without a reason. In my country, Jordan, clerics use the Sahih and Da3eef equally whenever it is beneficial and fits into their sick arguments. I know people who say that music is totally Haram based n Hadith, and others who promote stoning. I started to read Quran by myself(with the help of Ibn Manthoor Dictionary when necessary), and it was then when I discovered how beutiful ans superior our religion is. Then I also found a book written by a Syrian Engineer called (Tafseeron ?sriy Lil Quraan Alkareen). This book was great and gave me another huge dose of strength. I know now for sure that our prophet told other not to write what he says. And I know that Omar told Abu Hurayra not to talk about what the prophet said. These are the only two Hadiths I can make consesions and believe in. Also there are many verses saying that our Quran is complete. And nothing in this Quran saying that we have to follow hadith.
I found free-minds after a lot of search in forums, chat rooms, and newsgroups. I think the idea is very noble and great although convincing others about these principles in our countries (especially the Arab ones) can be very difficult.
Bothers and sisters, I have $25 credit at Google adwords and want to invest it here for free-minds. It can bring about 500 visitors. But I am not sure which people to target(search keywords) and how the ad should look like. Any ideas?

Salam Sword,
welcome!

In my original country, Egypt, there are relatively many who don't believe in hadith, they can't talk in public nor do they have access to internet and forums.

SalamSalaam Sword,
I think you should target "ISLAM" and "QURAN" or "KORAN" because this is what this site is all about. I have invited so many people to this site. Sadly, some of them just skim through it briefly and thinking that it is some Mullah-related site, just don't bother going through the site. I wish more people find this site and actually read the articles.
That also gave me another idea. When "MISERABLE FAILURE" can be connected to the White House on Google, why don't we all unite to connect the word "ISLAM" or "QURAN" can find this site? All we'll have to do is add a link for above words to this site on our websites and eventually it will be get picked up by Google's search engines as site that is closely related to these words.

Peace Tariq,
search engine bombing is a great idea. But do we have site owners among members of freeminds? If we do then this thread should be a sticky. And I will personally contact arab and muslim bloggers that I know. It is a great Idea. However I did humble research on how much work should be donelinkhttp//www.islamworld.net/ has 14,600 links coming in
linkhttp//www.free-minds.org/ has 655 links coming in
I noticed also that free-minds is not listed in DMOZ directory which can give us thousands of links. The webmaster can go and post an inclusion application at DMOZ.com. By the way it should be posted once.
I am now writing the gogle ad. It will be running in minutes inshalla.

Peace Sword
welcome to the forum -
I praise Allah that the truth of his message shines through whenever we get that chance to examine it. Islam has such a need of freeing itself from the cults of fiction and hatred that have infected the din of Allah. Inshallah it will happen in our lifetimes.
also - thats a really great idea for the google ad words - as it the idea to make quran/islam links to freeminds. I run a few sites and will implement this over the next few days.

Thats an interesting fact.
They don't believe in hadith, but do they believe the Quran can stand alone?
Peace,
Tony
