Quran fully detailed
-
Salam,
I am relatively new to Quran only study but have just come across this website
http//www.call-to-monotheism.com/refuting_the_argument_that_the_quran_is_complete_and_therefore_we_don_t_need_hadith_
What are your views on this as I know that the verses mentioned are the ones that are normally used to defend Quran only views. Any input would be great.
Thank you in advance.

If one is not satisfied with spirituality alone then they can always look elsewhere for Paganism.

From the article
Professor X says to his students that in order to know everything for the exam they must read textbook A. The Professor says that textbook A is clear, fully detailed and enough to pass the test.
However, you must do everything that textbook A commands you to do. When students read textbook A they find out that textbook A says that textbook B clarifies and explains in better detail textbook A. So what should the students do?
What we should do is ask the Professor if Textbook B must be read or not. But he said that textbook A is clear and that means he isnt gonna ask questions from Textbook B.
This is truly a pathetic example. I have taken so far 200 units of classes in university (by now I think crossed it) and I am quite used to book A/B problem. When a Professor says the students must read book A he means it. Otherwise, we ask the professor. And yes, a good professor will always mention clearly in the syllabus the number of books a student will require. If he fails to do it and asks questions from book B, there is something called "Complain the department and if they dont listen complain about them to main university authority".
Qur'an does not explain; for example, the rules of Chinese grammar or the way to fix your computer.
Quran does not explain how to make the computer either. These things occur as action of our knowledge and once again, this is another pathetic trial in using analogy.
This is by far a really stupid article and I can pour down water over it just with one thing
Majority of the adults who convert newly to Islam do so only after reading Quran. Neither of them uses the so called "handbook" Hadiths to learn what is being said in it.And if Allah truly wanted us to believe in Hadiths, if Prophet truly did explain the Quran in Hadiths, we humans would have found out long long time ago about the expanding universe. We would have not required Dr Maurice Bucaille. We would have not had sects in Islam.
Verse right from that article
And these similitudes We mention before the people. And nobody understands them except the learned. (2943)
This verse is a great evidence that shows Mr Bukhari and friends were not knowledgeable. Thus we should avoid their books ;D -
Salamun Alaikum.
My study of Qur?an has atleast given me the knowledge to confidently claim that ? Qur'an itself does not recommend / demand any other support material to understand it other than the conscience and intellect* of the reader; especially, it definitely does not encourage to probe the narrations about the messenger to get better understanding.
Remember the story of people of Moses sacrificing the cow? They were poking the messenger again and again on more specifics about the animal ? whereas all they needed to was to hear and obey the command of Allah brought by the messenger. So they ultimately sacrificed the cow ? but ?they almost didn?t do it.? (271)
2108 Or (do) you intend that you ask your messenger like how Moses used to be asked from before? And whoever substitutes repression for faith then he has certainly deviated from even path .
(My personal translation, cross checking recommended.)
May Allah guide us all to the straight route.
Regards,
Arman*NB Resources/refernces to understand the language of Qur'an is of course necessary - that is a part of using our intellect.
