Some go with the flow, some stop and think ,others do not care!
More importantly, some take decisions, some just follow while some others hesitate/doubt/change their mind... in confusion?
It is called life!!!! What is the purpose?
Life is full of pressures, peer and social,What do we do?
I say GOD knows us inside out. Qoran has the answer. Yes,believe me it has! But before you get your answer, there is a price to pay, the test of your true character by your Creator?
Qoran warns against peer and social pressure and sets for many educational standards to assist in making choices. God has specifically commanded to use the brains and to verify all presented information about everything in our life (1736).
God has warned that each soul is held accountable for its own choices and that no soul will bear responsibility for another (6164).
He has informed us that we return to Him as individuals irrespective of our affiliation with a majority or a minority on this earth (1995, 694, 184.Yet, we regress, intimidated and pressured to choose the easy path and go with the flow.
So what do you do when you are feeling all you described in your post? May be you have already made your choice, and chosen GOD?
.If we choose GOD then we must go through the "trial phase" here is what Qoran says
Proclaim "If your parents, your children, your siblings, your spouses, your family, the money you have earned, a business you worry about, and the homes you cherish are more beloved to you than God and His messenger, and the striving in His cause, then just wait until God brings His judgment." ...
Is this why you do not value the things you were describing? You value GOD instead?
Like I said I do not have an answer for you.
GOD has your answer. Persevere with finding the true path and strive to pass your test.
Then, certainty about the purpose of your life and inner peace will help you prepare to meet your Creator.
GOD bless you.

Salamun Alaika brother Fusion.
We have been through the analogy of ?novel? before. The life that we are living today is like a novel / or a movie. An invisible author / director is pulling the strings of all of us from behind the scene. The only difference of us from the characters in a novel or movie is that we have something called ?free will? with which we can choose which character in the movie we want to be ? and thus earn our destiny. If our destiny is to become a character that deserve the satisfaction of our Master (the author / director behind the scene) ? our free will takes us there. But, if our destiny is to become a character that deserve the condemnation of Allah, the angels and mankind altogether ? our free will takes us there as well. Only once the novel / movie is over we?ll learn how we have fared.
In this great novel there are numerous characters who accept everything as given. They accept their lives as given, their families as given and their destiny as given. In fear of drowning they never set out the sail. They do not drown for sure ? but they can never be Sinbad! You can say ? ?I never wanted to be Sinbad.?
Well my friend ? it is between you and your Master ? you have to decide which character you want to be. This novel is a huge novel with each one of us taking up a separate chapter. In your chapter ? look at the central character ? it is not Sinbad, not Barak Obama, not Bill Gates ? nor even Muhammad or Jesus; it is YOU.
You feel frustrated to see so much suffering and injustice around you? Rest assured ? it has been like this throughout all ages. All these suffering and injustice our Master has created in the plot of the novel to give the central character (YOU) an opportunity to shine ? so that you can make a life worth living or die for a cause worth dying for. You have only one shot to get the story right ? and your time is running out.
You think you are powerless? Who says so? You have no idea the power of the brain that your Master has given you; how much of it are you using? You have no clue the power of the heart that your Master has given you; how much of it are you using?
Just think how much difference the character YOU can make if this character jumps into the life-chapter of a poor man (maybe your doorman or a sweeper) and starts making changes of all sorts. Just think how much difference the character ?YOU? can make if this character suddenly decides from tomorrow every day of his life he will try to convince someone to be environmentally conscious. Just think how much difference the character ?YOU? can make if this character suddenly decides from tomorrow that he will not be a slave to the 24-7 routine, but he will make use of a new 24-7 routine to master an art (painting, singing, dancing?), or a subject (science, sociology, history?) or a trade (medical, law, engineering?) and use his abilities for the betterment of others? That boring, purposeless, drifting character suddenly becomes a new Sinbad ? doesn?t he?
You have only one shot to get the story right my friend ? and your time is running out. So stop wasting time and take up the captain? wheel.
May Allah guide us all to the straight route.

Harmony to you Fusion,
I want to recite Quran on a daily basis but then what is the point?
You do not get anything from it because that is not the point.
I like to pray contact prayer but yet again what will I get in return?
Also here you do not get anything, unless you work towards fulfilling the prayers. Besides the salat word does not connote a ritualistic "contact prayer".
I am not committing any sins, like I am stealing or am harming others.
That is good. You seem to have the right affinity. The problem may be if you have the right perception of what is "God"?
What is there to attain by submitting to the rituals of recite and pray or fast?
Fasting you do to atone for your sins or to express grief. Any other understanding is a fabrication.
Reciting Qur'an in Arabic is futile unless you can understand what you recite.
Praying is futile unless you struggle towards affinity (acceptance) with what you prayed for.
I see people on the streets wasting resources, I see lot of construction ; tall buildings and all of the shopping centers and I then turn my mind and think of all those people in poor countries and children in Africa dying of hunger?
I know the feeling. The only thing you can do is leaving your life behind, live minimalistically and do like Jesus and give your excess to them poor ones. And preach the message of "God" to people. You should not take up the blame for the faithlessness of men.
I drop my kids to school and fear some thing could happen to them, I see typical hello, hi being exchanged with parents and my sibling. I see wife's talking about her folks and kept talking and I say what then? what is the point of all this around us? what is the point of all this world, all the people, all of them waking up, going to work, eating, sleeping and repeating the same?
You have progressed. You see something what they do not see. You should not be sad but contented and try to find peace by understanding. You should pity them for not comprehending and try to help in whatever way you can to make people get their eyes open for the spiritual realm.
I feel no security any place to go and live peacefully? I see routine sickness coming and going and we keep on eating and taking shit food and antibiotics? I see kids playing with ipad and all that like they are self-contain Artificial robots? I feel I am living in a state, waiting to reach the final destination-death and i see repeat of cycle will carry on and on.
You should progressively slow down on your indulgence in life and do as I recommended above. There is not much you can do other than echo what is true. Few will listen and some may even persecute you, but you will still have your reward if you are steadfast. You do not need to feel belonging to them even if they regard you as an alien for the change of lifestyle for you will be the one who laughs last. Stop taking them antibiotics and "shit" food then, and propagate the reasons why to limit the consumption of drugs and why to consider what to eat. Few will listen, but even one who listens is a grand victory in a world like this.
I see my office and all of the issues and problems and fights and people taking it too seriously and personally, yet a couple decades from now, same issues will be there yet, myself and the people around me in the office will be replaced by other humans and we might be into bones and sands in graves. What is the point?
The world is feeling colder in many senses, but it has also gone up and down throughout history. The world was not perfect in the past and tyrants often had an easier way and ignorance was more widespread. Yet some people in 2014 seem to be on neanderthal level by adherence to Paganism.
Yes there has to be a point but why cant I feel Living a life? Is it my fault am born into this era? I feel am like a computer processor executing millions of instructions per second while I wanted to be execute one instruction per second like the people in the past when the technology was not there so badly evolved into our lives?
Like I said, do not indulge yourself in this life but rather attempt to distance yourself from it. Do not be embarrassed over their reactions but be concerned about your spiritual assimilation and affinity. The indulgence in this life makes a man depressed. I have been there done that myself. You may think that getting a minimalist lifestyle is miserable, but you shall be surprised over how rewarding it is. And it does not mean you have to deprive yourself of any comfort, but only reflect upon what is truly necessary.
I cant change anything? as am not alone now.. I have people looking upto me and where do I look to?
If you have people looking up to you then lead them on the past that is best. Teach them modesty and the traps you have yourself already uttered in your post and I replied to.
Some times I feel there is a soul out there thinking of the same and i make a connection and we exchange a letter a day sharing what we feel in our lives..
that would be some meaning of life to me... from rest of the things i do. which by the way my relatives and friends think that I am a successful person in life in terms of financial and family? I am being ungrateful?I sense you may be afraid of giving that up by doing the opposite as I proposed. One way can be not giving any career up but reflect upon what you buy and your consumption and them help the poor with what you earn.
Have faith

Hi Fusion,
So do I. And it was called, depression.I also did not know what is life purpose, it seems we had no purpose in life. But sometime when I though our purpose is for God, every of our belonging was God's treasury, it felt, Im free from all of my fear. I saw live differently after I though God was hard and cruel, it seems live is worthless, and that is what I felt right now. Is what I felt because I read Dawun story which He still had a punishment even He was repent from His sins? It could be right. Each time I though that God will punish me, I felt down, I felt life is unfair. If that is your case, Im the same with you, and I dont have an answer. And Im still looking for it.
I dont like deceving my self by saying God is merciful while He is not, but if He is merciful I want to know the truth. Our life look good or bad just inside our mind, and it is depend on our image about God.
When I looking at your message it remind me to one of the Jewish scripture said by King Sulayman. Have a look http//www.chabad.org/library/bible_cdo/aid/16462

You must be feeling like neo in matrix if I may draw an analogy . Know that the rut you are feeling is of your own making. You have succumbed to peer pressure and society's code of conduct. Get a degree, get a job, get married, have kids, taken loan , buy property and for the rest of your life work like an ass to pay of the loan to buy the house you never really wanted and you never own. Understand that we are here only for a fleeting movement and be happy with what you have. Take a walk in the park, be curious to explore like a child, awe in wonder of the subtle beauty that is around you, take a vacation and above all always have some me time . Time for you to ponder, introspect and investigate. Nobody should disturb your me time not even your close ones. If it's possible backpack on your own and visit countries that you have not been to. Keep your mind open to different ideas and possibilities. And finally always smile.

Many thanks folks for comforting words and am going to reply and ask further guidance, so no offense please. it is a journey that I undertake and I might be critical to your suggestions.
To good logic
The part that got me some sort of resolution is the following reply
"Some go with the flow, some stop and think ,others do not care!
More importantly, some take decisions, some just follow while some others hesitate/doubt/change their mind... in confusion?
It is called life!!!! What is the purpose?
"As for the rest of your message
When you quote the following.
Proclaim "If your parents, your children, your siblings, your spouses, your family, the money you have earned, a business you worry about, and the homes you cherish are more beloved to you than God and His messenger, and the striving in His cause, then just wait until God brings His judgment." ...Do you know the context of the above verse as I believe Quran was revealed in
many years and its verses are some times related to the cause and effect sort
of events that happened around the prophet and the peopl around him.So how can the above statement be comforting for me if it was revealed for a
specific event reaction. Unless am wrong, then it makes me more puzzled as
why God would put us in such a tough position as to compare the love of HIM
over the love and addiction to all those things mentioned in the verse?
I mean if I love my family, isnt this what God wanted from me? if i have struggled
and earned money and spend it in serving humanity or even bringing food on the
table for my family, how is it terms so severe as to 'just wait until God brings
his judgement..'I wonder when some people goes to extremem and put God as some sort of an excuse
to say, separate from people, from world and just be with God. How can this be
possible? when God has made us so physical? I mean the entry to his paradise
or hell, goes thru the same people, things and not just separate yourself and
choose God only, in that context.Or maybe I got it all wrong, please clarify and excuse my ignorance in which case.
Because when I value my kids, I feel I value God in actual fact. Am i wrong? And then you said
"GOD has your answer. Persevere with finding the true path and strive to pass your test."Am i not doing this all the time? Is the feeling I have not a pre requisite to
finding a path?I am really more confused with your answer-logic to see my feelings? no offense, please advise.
Cheers

Hi Arman,
I never asked to be cast in this novel, so from the beginning it was not my choice? Yes it may well be the choice of my ancestors or one couple who when God asked to undertake the Amana, he or she or them said Yes while the mountains and skies etc declined.
So if you force some one to play a character of his choice as you put it, then you are actually giving him no choice?
For example, when I see a bird like an eagle fly, I wish I were an Eagle flying high in the sky overlooking the earth.
When I see fish in the sea, I wish that too. In actual fact, i wish i can change shapes and become all those creatures which fascinates me
and be like them ONLY to witness and feel God's creations - this earth, universe.Coming back to the point, what you said makes all the sense and am some what satisfied with your reasoning except the fact that am forced into
role play.I will read what you write again and again and do my best to apply it in my life, hoping that ''This is not the only life there is, and there will be another life after this one, else I see no point''
Cheers

Hope I can attain a certain satisfactory level. However doing that some times you feel so LONELY yet the whole crowd is around you.

Perhaps you are aware that every single human has made a "covenant " with GOD prior to living this life?
I believe the purpose of this life is to fulfill that "contract" and not break that covenant with GOD!
A true believer in God is constantly conscious about the covenant made with God to love Him the most, serve/worship Him alone, and devote all his/her service/worship, life and death to Him alone.
A true believer in God fully understands that he/she is bound by that covenant or "contract". He/she fulfills that covenant in absolute submission, truthfulness and diligence and in total adoration for God and dedication for serving Him alone, under all circumstances.
Nothing, absolutely nothing, besides the clear "agreement terms" listed and detailed in Quran would tempt him/her to waver or violate that covenant with the Most Gracious.
The self determination and firmness in carrying out all of God's commands, and abiding by all the "terms" of that "contract"/covenant with God are all that defines a faithful , sincere and certain believer.
GOD will hold every individual accountable to the covenant. We will remember on the day of judgement. GOD has reminded us in His message and has detailed for us what we need to do.
Hope you keep studying and following GOD s message. That is the most important and serious task required from us in this life.
GOD bless you.
Peace.
