      Mazhar type objection

Please provide examples of usage in English corpus of "cumulative interest-successive increase".

Why not you reflect for a second to find above words non-cogent in English language. Similarly English language does not recognize "cumulative interest-successive increase". It is making mockery of English language, and nothing else.

Zero results from google's 30 trillion indexed pages for "cumulative interest successive increase".

According to your type of objection does this disprove your theory? Yes/No.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

        Dear Waks,

It seems you did not notice the dash in between.

Google search or see some dictionary of banking and financial terms to see what is meant by cumulative interest.

Actually I did notice the dash but google uses a dash to exclude that word from a search. Perhaps a "/" would have been more appropriate for you to use.

In any case, let us assume your usage of word combination exists in English corpus, does this prove your theory of riba as per Quran? Yes/No.

That was the point dear Mazhar.

You might have noticed this also that size of dash is of en dash, but was put as em dash. It is difficult to type em dash.

I have not given any theory. I have just explained the meanings of Ar-Riba as contained in Lexicons and have given examples of its usage in the Qur'aan.

Second, I have explained that it is not a term.

Then I have explained it by contrastive words used in Qur'aan.

Please find little time to read about hyphen in English language. It will get you out of meaningless pursusits.

I have given the meanings of Riba quite elaboratively, you try to prove them wrong; or anything else said in the linked article; please try.

I was simply mirroring your type of objection and I agree it is a meaningless pursuit.

Funny, that was similar to my reaction to your meaningless objection.

Normally I wouldn't have bothered responding to this thread, but sometimes it is helpful to expose hypocrisy.

                    Waks,

When you do not have any logical stand and substance, you start vague and meaninfless talk. Please read the article carefully. You will InshaAllah learn as to what semantics is.

                      My dear Mazhar and Wakkas,

The word Riba is of hebrew origin, and means ,too much or excessive ,quran confirms this meaning by saying,do not take double or 3 or 4times,or even more.In English riba is called usury, there is no word in hebrew or Arabic for interest, because the present day interest was not there when quran landed, interest is a 16th century invention.Do you want me to further eleborate riba?I cando so.thanks for reading this.
