peace
I wonder why you seem very dislike the ritual salat? Why?
Because it is unquranic
Why you seem to against it very hard?
Because it is fabricated (not by the prophet)
Whether you don' like if we do the ritual?
Its their choice let them do whatever they want. Who am I to stop them?
If there are people who enjoy (or feel comfort, or even feel obliged) for doing ritual prayer and they do it for Allah alone, then I think we should let them do it.
Who is stopping them
After all, this kind of ritual doesn't harm us, right?
Neither it benefits the believers.
Whether they (the members who perform ritual) force us to do the similar ritual?
No, I don't feel they force me to do that.
Did I force anyone to stop from praying ritually?
And perhaps, beside their rituals, they also do many other good deeds which are supported by the Qur'an, so in this case, I think they also follow the the other messages of Qur'an (aside doing the ritual).
And perhaps they also remember Allah a lot in their daily lives (outside the ritual times).
How do you know? Are you god?
Blue I think this is quite disrespectful.
What should I call an action of ups and downs without understanding.
If they sincerely doing that for their Lord, to please Him, then it's inappropriate for us to use "negative name calling" toward their ritual.
Prove that ritual salat pleases ALLAH?
I think we should not insult their ritual, especially if they found that the ritual benefits them.
You are going to the EXTREME. I did not insult anyone. If their ritual salat benefits them then Alhamdulillah it is good for them
Instead of replying me in a sarcastic way you could have pondered on what I wrote and tried to understand the difference between the salat and the remembrance of Allah.

Lets take an example.
You hire an employee and explained him the duties he needs to perform during his shift.
When shift is about to end You check your employee and found him standing in a corner and repeating aloud "my employer is great" and he has not performed his duties.
What will you do?...become happy that your servant is praising you endlessly since his shift started irrespective of the fact that he has not done his job.
On the other hand you found that your servant has fulfilled his duties and while performing his duties he remembered you by remembering your instructions and being apprehensive that if job is not done right you will be unhappy.
Which servant will continue his job and who will be fired? Decision is yours..Peace

I loved your parable, Novice. Very funny but also slightly sarcastic.
Hafez Kazi,
There are many errors in Quran's interpretation. Dhekr is one of them. That word means that you do something for someone in order to please them, i.e. honor them. Bingo. You have a better explanation at once.
You should take a peek in ancient Arabic lexicons. Ancient interpreters (when such were made) did not care to search in them but they followed their whims and desires (i.e. their sectarian doctrine).
Be well

Because it is unquranic
In this case, I neither agree nor disagree.
Because it is fabricated (not by the prophet)
What if there are believers who are guided by Allah to understand salat as ritual?
Its their choice let them do whatever they want. Who am I to stop them?
Bold Yes, I agree. handshake
Who is stopping them
I'm glad if you didn't.
However though, you seemed stress about the people doing the ritual things.
Neither it benefits the believers.
It seems there are members here who found benefits from their rituals.
Did I force anyone to stop from praying ritually?
I hope you didn't.
How do you know? Are you god?
I'm not 100% sure, that's why I wrote "perhaps",
and I apply positive thinking towards them regarding this issue.
What should I call an action of ups and downs without understanding.
As I recall, you had discussion about this with brother hawk99, right?
Please check the posts from some members (e.g. hawk99, mmkhan, Armanaziz),
and please read about what kind of ritual salat which they do.
Prove that ritual salat pleases ALLAH?
Prove that ritual salat does not please ALLAH?
You are going to the EXTREME. I did not insult anyone.
To be honest, I dislike the name calling toward the ritual salat, e.g. call it "acrobatic".
Next time, please don't use it (the term written with blue color in my previous post in this thread) again.
If their ritual salat benefits them then Alhamdulillah it is good for them
InshaAllah.
Instead of replying me in a sarcastic way
I am sorry for that,
and I am sorry if there is/are other post/s (or words) that I wrote which unpleasant for you as well.
I ask for apologize, dear big brother. group
In my language (Indonesian), "Saya meminta maaf."
you could have pondered on what I wrote and tried to understand the difference between the salat and the remembrance of Allah.
I think your dislike towards ritual might influence your study on salat, and perhaps it made your writing (regarding this issue) not equitable.
I'm sorry if I'm wrong about that.
Peace.

I would think of it as disrespect to Creator.
Agree, but what if it is not about difficulty but the idea that salat is all I need to do as mere an everyday task. The reason why I asked that question is because of something I was told years ago by a friend. I told the story in another thread, but wouldn't mind mentioning it here once again. One of my friends told me she thought of celebrities during her salat. I asked her are you sure it is right and she replied "whats wrong with that?"
peace
Its funny to imagine that she does that every time haha. I get inspired and refreshed during salat because I use it as a meditation.

Qurnic lh () has naught to do with the Sunni tradition of namaz!
SLM
You don't perform namaz?

The servant who doesn't really realize I'm great. If that is both of them, both of them shall suffer immensely.
-
When you call to the Contact Prayers (Salat), they mock and ridicule it. This is because they are people who do not understand.
Q 585I love it really, that Allah has clearly marked out and distinguished those "robots" (the word means slaves) who do the salat, and those who do not.
-
The servant who doesn't really realize I'm great. If that is both of them, both of them shall suffer immensely.
Do we realize "God is great" by lip service or like

Misconstruction ain't no hard task @agphys!
Try replacing "Contact prayer" with "Salsa (dance)" ...You don't perform namaz?
Why would I!?
-
Do we realize "God is great" by lip service or like
Certainly, if it is a problem or seems like lip service to say God is Great we are not understanding really or believing in what we are saying, and thus should not say it.
There is no "praise" of Allah, in the sense that we praise a human being, often falsely, to make them feel approved of.
Whatever is recited by the angels who glorify Allah are merely facts, truths, reminders to ourselves, not really "praise" the way the word has come to mean these days.
Allah simply IS the Greatest or only Great one, not "Great" as in us showing approval, but Great in absolutely every sense, that all Greatness belongs to Allah alone, the sole power.
There is no "praise" of Allah in the whole Qur'an, its all just stating what are supposed to be truths.
So if one understands what they are doing and what they are saying, it won't seem like "lip service" as we're not doing it for Allah and Allah gains nothing from any of it, it is for us to remember the truths regarding Allah and focus ourselves and bring ourselves into a state of re-aligning throughout the day.
Good deeds are another practice, but if one correctly understands the meditative exercise of worship as a reminder and re-aligning of our thoughts and focus, one may derive some benefit from it.
If your worship is merely lip service, and you think the praises are false and for the gratification of Allah, then leave off the prayer, as they may not be of any use to you anyway.
-
Why would I!?
Because prostration and bowing and things like that are mentioned in the Qur'an?
-
So, in order to kneel before G-D I need to "perform namaz"!?
Well what do you do? Do you do any kind of meditative exercise thing like namaz or formal worship or any of the parts of it?
-
Only part of the story
http//mypercept.co.uk/articles/Summary-problems-sujud-prostration-Quran.htmlGood points, but it has generally been used in reference to human beings as a physical practice. So we know what hitting is for example, but if one says the light of the sun hit the moon, it might mean differently than if one said the man hit the other man.
So the meaning of the word seems to have been rather well established in use as referring to the kowtow when it comes to human figures at least.
Nice points and article though, thank you for that.
So you also don't perform the formal worship?
-
I would think of it as disrespect to Creator.
Peace reel, how would turning to Allah with your question be disrespectful?
The fact is that hardly anyone remembers Allah in his salat
How did you arrive at this fact?
then why we need to offer the robotic ritual Salat?
I think you confuse ritual with rote.
Peace hafeez kazi, Man of faith and Wakas do you brothers fast the month of Ramadan?
God bless
peace
