The best is not to adhere to any religion at all but common sense and soundness.

Survival, and comfortable survival if possible. To do your best to survive (continue to experience) and survive comfortably if you can (the pursuit of what is better, more pleasing, comfort, safety, etc).

Since it is clear we might not be able to continue living, we invest a little in other things too.

The people who call themselves Buddhists are not always peaceful, historically or in modern times.

There have been and are today radical Buddhists and Buddhist sects that support violence and other things. In Japan and other places there had also been some very radical and violent Buddhist sects. Buddhism is also full of bloody stories at times in Asia at least. It just isn't talked about too much on TV or promoted worldwide like the Muslim stuff is almost non-stop.

So the same kind of violent freaks, followers and leaders, pop up everywhere, among atheists, materialists, communists, capitalists, socialists, anarchists, Muslims, Jews, Christians, Buddhists, Hindus, Pagans and whatever else.

It is because the humans have at times a tendency towards violence, just like other animals.

If religion was banned, governments, politics, and everything else, it would not change human's tendency to want to fight and kill which can be based on anything from chemical reactions and scents and other things which can alter mood and information interpretation or reaction. So usually the people who suggest such measures seem reactive and unsophisticated themselves.

Certainly, there could be no wars among humans if every single human was put to death. Yet, War is what we're made of, born into a world of War as a Warrior race. We are rapists and killers, that is what we do. How so?

We kill the plants and the animals to survive, taking whatever we need or want from things which don't consent.

We also rape and impose ourselves on others, with our ideas and opinions and even our presence, influencing their thoughts and world.

For example, watch me penetrate you, and you'll be helpless against my penetration when I say the word "Dog". In order to understand that word, you need to simulate or bring up some concept of the idea "Dog" to try to even understand what is going on or being said. "Cat". There, I did it again. "Airplane". How does it feel to have your mind influenced and raped repeatedly by me?

Likewise, we are raped by the storytellers who tell us tales that might get us emotionally attached to characters, then they kill them, like how Disney raped so many children's minds with Bambi, scarring them for life with disturbing trauma.

Then, the Supreme Rapist, Life itself or Reality, the Ultimate causation or responsible for any of the animation, forced us from the beginning. You didn't ask to be born as far as you know, nor did you ask for the trouble that occurs in your life, all the hardship and struggles. You're born into a brutal existence, even if you have everything given to you, there is still aging, death, the suffering of others (if you are compassionate), and whatever else.

So it is all bad.

So all one can do is try to survive, and survive comfortably, which requires apparently that we do some raping and killing at least.

We kill each other all the time, even without killing each other literally, by being part of factors which influence changes, so that your former self can not be said to exist anymore, it is no longer in existence. Had we not talked to you, "time" would have killed that former individual anyway, at least in some small way, and it is by Death which you "live" or continue to experience things, in every way.

So Islamic terrorists are just one element of sht in a Universe made of sht . Even the stars are destroyed, and the plants are burned away, not able to get water, and the things in the sea they suffer and struggle too.

I once picked up a bunch of sea sponges when I was little, and put them in a bucket filled with water, and they filled the bucket with urine, and I don't know if they killed themselves that way or what, I hope they didn't, but I took them back to the sea, but they even poisoned their own environment just by living.

Think how terrible it all is. Then to top it off, the Buddhists have their own terrorists and criminals, all throughout the history.

The cause of it all can be said to be the cause of all that we consider evil. There is no comforting anyone wise. There is only this realization, and only then do we truly realize we are Surrendered, because there isn't much we can even do about it, we can just try what seems best to us, minimize the suffering and anxiety induction as best we can, while murdering, raping, and pillaging as we do.

The most important part of the brain, which shall received high priority of interrupt to the mind.

Hunger/Thirst
Sex

The last component is key for survivability of the species..

When a group of human perceived a "Threat" to the survivability of either

Themselves
Their group
Their culture / way of life

Their reptilian brain, the highest priority, will resorted to any means necessary to wipe out such threat.

A good example is the today's (Traditional) Jews, (Traditional) Arabs/Muslims or Buddhist in Myanmar (Rohingya Conflict)

A common pattern among big apes with Patriarchal society (Male hold the primary power).
Most human along with their close patriarchal cousin the chimps and gorilla are indeed an aggressive animal.
They hunt in group and resolve their internal conflict through violence..

Big apes with matriarchal society however shows the opposite pattern of behavior.
Example; Bonobo, and small subset of human.
And most of them are vegetarian..

Think how terrible it all is. Then to top it off, the Buddhists have their own terrorists and criminals, all throughout the history.

He advised others to trust their own reason and common sense..

A stark contrast to "another prominent figure" which possessed an acute narcissistic character disorder by asking everyone to proclaim that he is God's messenger..
