I now prefer twitter than forums, because if I am unhappy with someone, I can just block them >

These angels are nothing but uncontrolled forces of nature, people respected those, some idolized them. I think here the word refers to abundance in wealth.
Knowledge, strength, wealth, good luck, smaller difficulties, larger destruction etc...
our ancients had better idea about these and gave names to these, with time these lost meanings and these become mythological stories and characters.

What about the encounters in the Qur'an where people met them in human forms?

I think you are referring to Alkhidr character, yes thats one character with exceptional wisdom, Musa was able to learn from him that what we think happenned was bad need not be really bad.

Man either this almighty and his prophet had no clue or they were really were out there to get innocent people; by giving them a document which has no term that was understood at the time it was supposedly revealed. What to talk 1000 years later?

Wow believers of this joke, your minds are really enslaved? How can you break these chains when very apparatus given to you to break these chains is enslaved?

It is not "noun of Inna", its Inna's noun.

You are now going further than mindless. What is the difference between both?

                      BK Anwar

You first stated a stupid thing with regard to predicate of Inna. I told you it was not predicate of Inna but the object of verb. Accept your stupidies and then proceed, other wise you just waste time. You have after a long time come to normal course of understanding a text, grammar and syntax. But have not yet lieft the habit of getting occassionally mindless.

I tend to agree with you, though Angels are separate beings like the Jinns, better, it is an article of Faith to believe in the existence of Angels.

I was thinking more of the instances like Ibrahim's encounter with the visitors who came to inform him of his child, who then went to Lot, and the messenger who came to Mary.

                          1917
So she took a veil (to screen herself) from them; then We sent to her Our spirit, and there appeared to her a well-made man.

                          1169
There came Our messengers to Abraham with glad tidings. They said, "Peace!" He answered, "Peace!" and hastened to entertain them with a roasted calf.

                          1170
When he saw their hands did not reach out towards it, he felt uneasy with them and started to be afraid of them. They said "Do not act afraid; we have been sent to Lot?s folk."

                          1171
And his wife was standing (there), and she laughed But we gave her glad tidings of Isaac, and after him, of Jacob.

                          1172
She said Woe to me! Will I give birth when I am an old woman and this, my husband, is an old man? Truly, this is a strange thing!

                          1173
They said Do you wonder at Allah's bidding? The mercy of Allah and His blessings are on you, O people of the house, surely He is Praised, Glorious.

                          69
And (even] if We had appointed an angel as Our message-bearer, We would certainly have made him a man - and thus We would only have confused them in the same way as they are now confusing themselves.

                          351
Praise be to Allah, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, Who appointeth the angels messengers having wings(arms) two, three and four. He multiplieth in creation what He will. Lo! Allah is Able to do all things.

                          352
What Allah out of his Mercy doth bestow on mankind there is none can withhold what He doth withhold, there is none can grant, apart from Him and He is the Exalted in Power, full of Wisdom.

So I don't know, they seem to not be natural forces, but natural forces seem to be natural forces, and angels seem to be something else. If the natural forces are transformed into human forms, what happens then to the natural forces during that period? Its almost similar to how people say Jesus is God, then people ask, when Jesus was being Jesus, what was the operation of God.

The angels appear to be messengers of God who can be given various forms, their creation added to or changed, who are called "spirits" (rooh) and one of them is called the "Holy spirit", but they can be given physical forms and can also physically harm and attack people or visually appear to them

                          8123
Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon.

So Dear Mazhar, isn't getting occassionally mindless a human character? What is worse, occassional mindlessness and/or an occasinal mistake or deliberate ignorance of the facts presented?

I have presented the honest linguistic account of this Surah. One can continue to deny its real meanings by nit picking things in the Explanation that have no brearings on its real meanings. Or bring their linguistic evidence from established rules of language with referances to prove that meanings and understanding are incorrect.

                            I rest my case.

You raise interesting questions. I'm not pretending to know exactly what angels are, as I have never seen one. But I thought what I've learned about them could shed light, raise more questions or make people start cursing at me. Either way, it's a win win situation.

While doing my research on the "over it is 19" verse, which I identify as the 19 electrons of potassium, I discovered there is a remarkable analogy between the properties of angels as they are described in Tanakh, Quran and the world of quantum mechanics. When Niels Bohr first discovered the properties of quantum particles in his mind he uncovered properties that are unprecedented/unique in history superposition, not limited by the speed of light, etc. The properties of quantum particles defy newtonian laws of physics. But this trait is not unique to quantum particles. These properties were described before quantum theory, in the descriptions of angels.

So, are angels forces of nature? I don't know. I just think there are many similarities between them, especially when looking at the world of quantum particles. If an angel transforms in the appearance of a human, this does not necessarily imply the natural force task has to be abandoned. They could be a two places at once, so to speak.

                                Peace

When Angels reveal themselves to Humans,

it's either wonderful news, like Miriam, or doom, like Lot's people. or revelation like Muhammad (P),

so it is highly unlikely they will reveal themselves to us mere "boring" mortals, but at our death they will.

Dear all, with improved insight into the language. I have edited this Sura as follows.

                                          Surah 108 1

Indeed, we and you have a natural talent and faculty, which thus, makes affairs plain and easy.

                                          Surah 108 2

Therefore, you get to know it thoroughly well, then follow it closely for your brought up.

                                          Surah 108 3

Indeed, similar virtue is in the deficiency.
