    Peace

    (MUMINEEN) exposes salat.

And when you have completed the prayer, remember Allah standing, sitting, or on your sides. But when you become secure, establish prayer. Indeed, prayer is/has been decreed upon the BELIEVERS a decree of specified times. (An-Nisaa 103)

The above, which appears to be a perfect translation of 4103 is not perfect but has one minor error which has been neglected for the past 1400 years. It is a minor error of translation but it will change the whole message of this verse as well as the previous two verses 4101/2

What is in the above verse? BELIEVERS? No it is not believers but BELIEVING MEN

The following verses confirms this meaning

And when you, , left your family in the morning to post the believing men at their stations for the battle - and Allah is Hearing and Knowing - (Aali Imraan 121)

Not equal are those believing men remaining - other than the disabled - and the mujahideen, in the cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives. Allah has preferred the mujahideen through their wealth and their lives over those who remain , by degrees. And to both Allah has promised the best . But Allah has preferred the mujahideen over those who remain with a great reward - (An-Nisaa 95)

just as when your Lord brought you out of your home in truth, while indeed, a party among the believing men were unwilling, (Al-Anfaal 5)

And you did not kill them, but it was Allah who killed them. And you threw not, , when you threw, but it was Allah who threw that He might test the believing men with a good test. Indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing. (Al-Anfaal 17)

O Prophet, urge the believing men to battle. If there are among you twenty steadfast, they will overcome two hundred. And if there are among you one hundred steadfast, they will overcome a thousand of those who have disbelieved because they are a people who do not understand. (Al-Anfaal 65)

Would you not fight a people who broke their oaths and determined to expel the Messenger, and they had begun you the first time? Do you fear them? But Allah has more right that you should fear Him, if you are believing men. (At-Tawba 13)

Then Allah sent down His tranquillity upon His Messenger and upon the believing men and sent down soldiers angels whom you did not see and punished those who disbelieved. And that is the recompense of the disbelieving. (At-Tawba 26)

And Allah repelled those who disbelieved, in their rage, not having obtained any good. And sufficient was Allah for the believing men in battle, and ever is Allah Powerful and Exalted in Might. (Al-Ahzaab 25)

It is He who sent down tranquillity into the hearts of the believing men that they would increase in faith along with their faith. And to Allah belong the soldiers of the heavens and the earth, and ever is Allah Knowing and Wise. (Al-Fath 4)

Certainly was Allah pleased with the believing men when they pledged allegiance to you, , under the tree, and He knew what was in their hearts, so He sent down tranquillity upon them and rewarded them with an imminent conquest (Al-Fath 1

The addressee in all the above verses are believing men and the context is war related therefore MUMINEEN in such verses means BELIEVING MEN and not BELIEVERS.

    Here is another verse

O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believing men to bring down over themselves of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful. (Al-Ahzaab 59)

In all the above verses means BELIEVING MEN

does it always mean travel/journeying through the land?

O you who have believed, when you go forth in the cause of Allah, investigate; and do not say to one who gives you peace "You are not a believer," aspiring for the goods of worldly life; for with Allah are many SPOILS. You were like that before; then Allah conferred His favor upon you, so investigate. Indeed Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted. (4 94)

O you who have believed, do not be like those who disbelieved and said about their brothers when they went forth in the land (for fighting) were engaged in military campaign/or were warriors , "If they had been with us, they would not have died or have been killed," so Allah makes that a regret within their hearts. And it is Allah who gives life and causes death, and Allah is Seeing of what you do. (3 156)

Why every time the believers are travelling through the land without any reason? How believers will die while travelling through the land? MAGIC?

O you who have believed, testimony among you when death approaches one of you at the time of bequest - two just men from among you or two others from outside if you are marching forth in the land to fight and the disaster of death should strike you. Detain them after the communion and let them both swear by Allah if you doubt , "We will not exchange our oath for a price, even if he should be a near relative, and we will not withhold the testimony of Allah. Indeed, we would then be of the sinful." (Al-Maaida 106)

How can a believer while travelling through the land find two believers as oral witnesses? This is only possible when he is marching forth in the land to fight with his own people. If the believer while travelling passes a place uninhabited, and the affliction of death befalls him then what happens? Will he be able to search two witnesses?

    Travelling through the land

Say, "Travel through the land; then observe how was the end of the deniers." (Al-An'aam 11)
    Read 1022, 12109, 2246, 2769, 2920, 309/42, 3544, 4021, 4082, 4710.

    THE DECREES

And married women except those your right hands possess. the decree of Allah upon you??. 424

O you who have believed, prescribed for you is legal retribution for those murdered -???? 2177

Prescribed for you when death approaches one of you if he leaves wealth ???? 2180

O you who have believed, prescribed for you is fasting 2183

prescribed for you is fighting 2216

Five decrees all UNAMBIGUOUS and EXPLICIT

Indeed the prayer is/was prescribed unto the believers at definite times

Why this is not prescribed unto you but believing men? Because this decree is only for believing men.

The context of 4101 to 103 is not travelling through the land but marching forth in the land to fight and is addressed to BELIEVING MEN and not to believers therefore salat in the above verse is not a ritual salat decreed to believers but a salat decreed upon the believing men

And when you have completed the prayer, remember Allah standing, sitting, or on your sides. But when you become secure, re-establish prayer. Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the BELIEVING MEN at stated/fixed/definite times. (An-Nisaa 103)

This is my understanding of the verse as of today. Only Allah knows the truth?

    Thanks

AND the believers, both men and women they are close unto one another they enjoin the doing of what is right and forbid the doing of what is wrong, and are constant in prayer, and render the purifying dues, and pay heed unto God and His Apostle. It is they upon whom God will bestow His grace verily, God is almighty, wise!

So "As for the believing men, both men and women" would be your translation there? The believing men who are women? Yes?

            Peace.

"Mumineen" can be both believing men and women,or just believing men . It depends on the context.

"Muninaat" can only be believing women.

            Back to the drawing board?

Like doing good/being good, salat is for both.

            GOD bless you.
            Peace.

The context of 4101/2/3 is not traveling through the land but marching through the land for fighting and this is war related and all war related verses are addressed to BELIEVING MEN. Therefore the word salat in this verse does not refer to the 2 timed salat but a salat which is decreed to believing men.

Moreover TAQSURU MIN AS SALAT is not shorten the salat but shorten OF/FROM the salat?

Unwarranted conclusion based on the evidence. For accuracy, your statement above should rather read

Therefore the word salat in this verse MAY not refer to the 2 timed salat but a salat which is decreed to believing men.

And can you answer your own question, i.e. what salat for the believing men does it refer to? This will help us weigh up the options.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

Yes I know the answer and I came to the conclusion only after critical evaluation of 4101/2/3 wherein there is no traveling through the land, and no timed salat.

I am half way on my answer and just trying to perfect it, as and when I am convinced and confident of my answer I will post it.

                      Thanks

                            Hafez kazi,

I am glad you are doing these inconsistency checks on the traditional interpretation. Helps me in ways. Nowadays I am more focused on the reinterpretation project than such matters as salat using the traditional faulty way of interpreting things.

Believe me. It takes me about 7 hours to decipher 4 passages and I still occasionally have to go back and correct things. The traditional interpretation has been of little help nor the traditional grammar "knowledge".

But the results are remarkable. Another book emerges. Yet I assure you I am not intentionally looking for another interpretation but merely looking in ancient lexicons for the root meanings and moving on.

I was taken by surprise myself when I encountered the ten commandments quite early in an innocent context which obviously was believed to speak of something entirely different.

In the segment about 260 - 2100 speaks of one and the same thing which is how one should hold a lecture about faith. The traditional interpretation jumps steadily betwen contexts while for dozens of passages it speaks of the same thing.

I suppose you would laugh if you read my interpretation and had faith in it, on how fooled people have been.

                            Be well

I look forward to it really, keep it up. Maybe when it is done I can make an edited version which makes the English more smooth or something if that is an issue at all, or you can make that version too later.

I suppose a "simplified English" version needs to be made. To translate the ancient Arabic without using multiple words is nearly impossible so sometimes the words end up formal to give the precise meaning.

                                    Salute @hafeez kazi, all

The context of 4101/2/3 is not traveling through the land but marching through the land for fighting and this is war related and all war related verses are addressed to BELIEVING MEN.

                                    I concur.

WHAT IS THAT SALAT WHICH IS DECREED TO THE BELIEVING MEN AND NOT TO WOMEN.

                                    To my scrutiny, Iqm l-lh ( ) stands for establishing/maintaining the rapport/rapprochement ...
Ie. the establishment (or resumption) of harmonious relations ... ~ The conciliator being G-D's messenger (4102) ...

My CU. of the vb. a is to bend/incline (upon), concur/agree (with), or consent/approve (of) ~ instead of (ostensibly) "blessing the nby" by parroting gibberish like robots! ~ G-D's Order is to 'bend/incline' upon the nby + (completely) 'yield/capitulate' ...

For us, later generations, to accomplish the task in question ,
we'll need to adhere to what he followed = Divine Inspiration = The Qurn he left behind (for us)

This is my current understanding, G-D knows best (of course).

                                    Let's dig more.

Its time for the believers to reflect upon this. He followed Quran and in the Quran we do not find the ritual prayer (reciting surah fateha, praising Allah three times in ruku and sujud, sending blessings on the prophet and ending the prayer with two salams) The ritual prayer is produced, directed and edited by the Abassids.

Then do they not reflect upon the Qur'an, or are there locks upon hearts? (47 24)

                                      Thanks

                                          Hi hafez kazi,

The ritual prayer is produced, directed and edited by the Abassids.

Personally I consider the whole Islam to be fabricated in the 7th-8th centuries based on a scripture on the loose which was not previously interpreted and the losers attempted to interpret it while simultaneously inserting their bias.

                                          Be well
