The relationship between God and believers is conceived in terms of a covenant, which establishes certain rights and obligations. The core of this agreement is that God binds us to serve God to the exclusion of any other being , and in return, gives us the promise of material and spiritual success. Whether the covenant is fulfilled or not depends on whether we fulfill our part, that is to say, the initiative has to come from mankind for it is our fate that is at stake.

The Covenant between Allah the Exalted and His Chosen, Dignified and Exalted Sincere Allegiants
This Subject was also chosen by some Psychological manipulators with tilted psyche and self nurtured disease of animosity, jealousy, bias, envy, and aversion against the Person of the Leader of Humanity, the Messenger and Personification of the Infinite Mercy of Allah the Exalted. There is no dearth of people of such psyche in the world, as well as within believing societies whom Allah the Exalted has given a specific name "Muna'fi'qeen". They clothe certain aspects of fact-truth with falsehood, and apply technique of "lying by omission". This is a subtle form of lying by withholding and leaving out important and significant fact-truth to foster a misconception. . One such "Muna'fiq" was Rashad Khalifa who self proclaimed "messenger of covenant" by employing deceitful tactics used by psychological manipulators of tilted hearts and psyche.

A recurrent theme in the relationship between God and mankind is that the human being is oft forgetful, thus periodic reminders (e.g. tawrat, injeel, zaboor, quran) are sent to reaffirm the covenant. This gives us a pluralistic/inclusive perspective in which to view all revelations from God - every covenant made with mankind on earth is ultimately a recognition, renewal, and continuation of the original promise to adam. For example, this would explain the numerous references in Al Quran of it being a reminder .

A comprehensive and beneficial article, in many aspects;
may AL-LAH bless you, Greatly.But in my Understanding, this "Covenant" (=Meesaq)
emphasized in these Verses below
is a most Curious, special and exclusive "Covenant" (=Meesaq)

26- AL-LAH does not shy away from putting forth the example/allegory of a mosquito, or what is above it.
As for those who believe, they know that it is The Truth from their LORD.
As for the rejecters, they say "What does AL-LAH intend with this example/allegory?"
HE strays many by it, and HE guides many by it; but HE only strays by it the betrayers.27- The ones who break the Pledge to AL-LAH after (having made) "its Covenant" (=Meesaqihi), --(in the past);
and they sever (now) what AL-LAH had ordered to be delivered/joined --(in the past),
and they make corruption on the earth; these are the losers.(QURAN TESTAMENT 2/26-27)
which must be reflected upon specifically in connection and together with these Verses (=74/26-30, 31)
in which this exactly same statement above........ "What does AL-LAH intend with this example/allegory?" .......
has been emphasized by our Lord AL-LAH also therein (=74/30-31), from the very beginning!
