      & au revoir @FM community.

Before you go, can we do a final battle?

I wanted to ask you if you believe that Allah has two arms and eyes, and a heart, and whatever else?

Since you take the interpretation of the Earth being some flat thing which you imagine, do you also take it to be the case that one who imagines that God has two hands, and whatever else to be exactly as they might imagine it if they imagine God confirming having body parts?

Do you think that taking the Qur'an as a "God" besides God is the right measure, if it says something or is interpreted to have said something against the truly Ultimate?

Are you against the use of clear reasoning ability?

I just want to know your beliefs before you go, if you would believe the Qur'an if it said things which are incorrect or which you interpreted a certain way, you would just take the Qur'an's word for it even if it spoke against the Truth and the Ultimate?

          @ human (member)

The truth of Earth where we live is the great sign of your Creator's existence, and if you deny such a great sign, then how can I be sure that you are a true believer?

@ atheists, about what I wrote above - just ignore it.

          @ Hicham9

I think this forum have lost the qualified members, so now I don't have any important reason to continue active here.

I think that you and Pazuzu are among the brilliant and brave members in FM, but I also think that it looks like this place doesn't deserve to have you both.

Hicham, if you really sure to leave FM, then let's go, brother.

... you believe that Allah has two arms and eyes, and a heart, and whatever else?

              No, I don't!

The Qurn taught me that naught is comparable to G-D.
Hence, personification is out of the question!

Perhaps, you mistake yd (&#1583 for kf (&#1601, &c. !?

Do you think that taking the Qur'an as a "God" besides God is the right measure, ...

              Correction!

I take the Qurn as G-D's Messenger.

Are you against the use of clear reasoning ability?

              On the contrary!

I'm all for rationality, objectivity, and zeteticism ...

I just want to know your beliefs before you go, if you would believe the Qur'an if it said things which are incorrect or which you interpreted a certain way, you would just take the Qur'an's word for it even if it spoke against the Truth and the Ultimate?

In my book, G-D's messenger is trustworthy.

I've yet to find these "incorrect things" you presuppose!
Did you objectively study the Qurn?

I have been seeing many relationships going sour throughout these two months. I hope all members reconsider. Each one of us has different life experiences and views because we are individuals coming from a wide variety of backgrounds. Perhaps, that's why, it will not be always possible to look at things eye to eye all the time.

                  But everyone remember this verse
And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you - when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers. And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be guided.3103

Faith in one God is what brought us together. Please don't let flat/round earth dilemma erase it. At the end of the day, working for the cause of Allah is what matters. He isn't going to ask us about the size of the planet on judgement day.

So hicham9 is leaving? God isn't this community losing more and more brains? Edip never comes around anymore, Layth rarely show up, Pazazu, ayman, and several other Islamic research minded Muslims on this forum have quietly left. I think the best days of this forum are way behind us. We, the recent members haven't been able to replicate those days. Essential Questions about faith go unanswered for days despite new members signing up almost daily. It seem these new members want no more than an account or an introduction because once done, you never hear from them again. This leave the forum to a few regular members often bored by most of the recent topics and not motivated to continue.

This forum is suppose to provide a platform for reform, Quran oriented Muslims and all monotheists to interact and share ideas but am afraid in recent times it, it seem to have drifted from this.

                      A platform to reform what?

I'm not here to reform anything. The schismatics in the abrahamic faith are established and will never go away again. Most likely this is as God wills it.

I have been very actively posting lately, reminding a small minority on this forum of the true origins of Islam. The majority will dislike anything I post on these matters because the mainstream, including many of the usernames you mentioned still believe in a mythical Islam that was revealed in Mecca to supposedly arab polytheists.

Many hold on to that mythical narrative. But it's a myth regardless.

This forum pretends to be progressive but to me it has all the traits of conservatism.

Most of the users here only distinct themselves from traditionalists and sectarians by their refusal of certain hadith. Outside that they are 99% alike in their beliefs.

Most don't feel ready to face the hadith that is the only support of the Meccan revelation myth. Many western scholars are all coming to similar results from their quranic exegesis that is judeo-nazarene roots of Islam, originating in Syria not the Hejaz.

                      Peace

You need to calm down. No one is calling for alteration of the schismatic of any faith. But we all realize the mainstream orthodox interpretation of Quran is highly flawed and and need reform or revamping.

Has anyone here ever rebuked you or warned you against your reminder about Islamic origin? I think it is really important to distinguish sincere critics from prejudiced bashers or blind rejectors.

This forum pretends to be progressive but to me it has all the traits of conservatism.

Granted, i admit there are conservatives or hardliners here who still hold onto sectarian dogmas, but branding one a conservative merely for rejecting your view is uncalled for. For instance, you have been vocally critical of code 19. Code 19ers here cannot brand you conservative and sectarian simply because you reject the code.

Runninglike zebras usually acuses you of anything under the sun when you disagree with him on anything. There is only two ways with him either you agree either you shut up, otherwise he acts the persecuted and brands you hadithists, homofobic or whatever seems most appropriate for the ocasion.

On the other hand, it is true that the forum does ntohave the dynamism and real vision that there used to be some years ago. It is rfare now that people come forward with really enlightening stuff, that is it, that really bring light on spots where it was completley obscure.

And what I notice also in the postings by runninglikezebras is a determined attitude to turn the Qur'an into a subordinate branch of the bible throwing in plenty of purported history in the process.

                                Peace all!

                                Regarding the forum

There has always been contributing members coming and going in this forum.
Overall I feel ideas and perceptions have progressed away from traditionalism and matured and crystallized. I see this as a constant improvement.
Regarding the "quality" of the forum, I think we should not be too quick to judge. Things always go in cycles, up and down.
This forum is a wonderful place, but not perfect, and this should not be expected.

                                Regarding members leaving

Individual members are what make this forum exist. All are welcome, atheists, traditional, heretics, commoners, quranists, all.
The one important thing to remember is that we are all human beings, and we must be mature to understand our own weaknesses. Therefore we must strive (because it may not always be easy) to remain polite and civilized. We may keep the forum rules in mind, and we should treat others the way we want to be treated. Differences of opinion should be left as exactly that, and we should be careful not to let emotions ruin our interactions here. There will always be differences of opinion no matter what. Had everyone believed the same thing, there would not have been any point to have a forum.

Let this forum be a great place to learn about the topics discussed, but also a place where we can practice communication skills and work on some important virtues. This life is a test indeed. Let's succeed! The enemy comes at us from all sides, including from within ourselves. Let's be vigilant and always attempt doing good.

Peace, love and best wishes to all!

                                    Peace All.

Yes we are social creatures, but are we seeking approval of people around us or are we searching /pondering GOD s truth?

Of course we should respect/treat each other with good manners, but we should also be honest .

Does it matter if people come and go?

We can only try and control what we do ourselves, Every person makes their own decision.

Whether we stay here or go elsewhere or not take part at all is irrelevant. It is what it is now. and it will be what it will be in the future.

The simple choice here is be part of the forum or do not be part if it!!!

Those new members who do not wish to join the conversation ,may be they are still looking around,or they simply are not interested after they have a look or they want to just browse at what others are saying or..

There is no rule that says you have to post continuously,or you have to post daily or you cannot leave or you have to...

As for whether the forum was better when certain members were active in the past and it it has gone down since...etc

Well, I disagree. The mixture of good and bad threads has always existed. It .is a matter of taste .

If GOD s truth is what matters to you, then you take what is best and you leave the rest. Ignore what you think is useless and a waste of time.

However remember to allow others the freedom to talk about the subject they see useful to them. Simply do not take part in the threads you think are wasting your time or....

You all deserve to be members here since you have been accepted by the "forum".

Let the moderators run the forum, and let all the members take part. Enjoy taking part and discuss with each other with respect. By all means disagree, shout out, make your point refute, prove, but be fair . Treat everyone as you would want to be treated yourself.

Remember we all started from "scratch". Show patience ,smile, you are on freeminds forum.

Yes keep smiling, you are on freeminds forum.

Oh I have forgotten to quote some verses

He said, "You serve/worship beside God powerless idols due to peer pressure, just to preserve some friendship among you in this worldly life. But then, on the Day of Resurrection, you will disown one another, and curse one another...

They almost diverted you from the revelations we have given you. They wanted you to fabricate something else, in order to consider you a friend.
If it were not that we strengthened you, you almost leaned towards them just a little bit.

If you obey the majority of people on earth, they will divert you from the path of God. They follow only conjecture; they only guess.

Are those enlightened by their Lord the same as those whose evil works are adorned in their eyes, and they follow their own opinions?

Among the people, one may impress you with his utterances concerning this life, and may even call upon God to witness his innermost thoughts, while he is a most ardent opponent.

You shall force yourself to be with those who worship their Lord day and night, seeking Him alone. Do not turn your eyes away from them, seeking the vanities of this world. Nor shall you obey one whose heart we rendered oblivious to our message; one who pursues his own desires, and whose priorities are confused.

                                    GOD bless you all
                                    Peace.

I am glad you disagree on that. This is one of the things where I would like to be wrong. That is the way I feel but it also may be due to the fact that like with everything else, when something is new, has always more to offer than when you have used it for a long time.

                                          Peace,

I agree with almost everything bravo

May Allah shower His blessings upon you and your family pr
