The English translation of this book is currently in progress and I'm told (by Olaf) it is expected to be released in February 2016.

I am enjoying this a lot, dear Olaf and runninglikezebras. I think you made a great job and you are trying to find the truth and it never made me feel uncomfortable about the Quran or whatever. I hope I find time to read it all shortly.
Anyway, except the history points and focusing on the Quran, your all theory only reaffirms Quran, I mean, as Allah said on it the Quran is not nothing new, it was given to Jews and Christians before so the parallels are expected. You are refuting or studying sunna, not Islam as the other bothers explain very clearly that islam is an attitude, not a "religion" (not even a minimum clergy is established in the Quran). What happened later with politics and fightings is something out of real Islam. Muhammad? we don't know and we will never know who he was.

Also I suppose you write later about it but I miss one central point why is then the Quran the way it is untill today? I mean, it could be clearer for expansionist porpuses and could have include hadith literature INSIDE it, and not alone as it has been preserved.

On the other hand, I think you are forgetting the sana?a manuscript dated from before 670 and containing verses identical with the ones we have now. This was a big fault in Cook?s work, for example. So, I will keep reading because I believe we will always remain in ignorance about the history of those days, mixed with myths, political issues and propaganda (it works today in the intenet era, imagine back then!!) and works like yours are just what we need to open our minds and make us think. Btw this is a very good article for a Philosophy work trying to refute the idea of God and of course Revelation, applied to Islam. http//www.qcc.cuny.edu/SocialSciences/ppecorino/INTRO_TEXT/Chapter%203%20Religion/Koran-Origins.htm (of course you have made a huge research, what i am telling you about one single article you might now... sorry, did not want to offend)
I loved it, and again it made me even believe more.

Thanks for your contribution, I hope you don't mind if I annoy you at some point with questions )

Did anyone accept Islam at the time of Muhammad?
I haven't heard a story of prophet Muhammad like prophet Jonas where he was a coin-flipping fugitive.
The Quran says no community believed except prophet Jonas'

Are these histories true worthy? What events of world news were in them? Wars and famines all promises we will be tried with "something" of these.

The main issue here is to consider what "islam" could have been at the time of Muhammad.
We have have no evidence to assertain that islam as we know it today existed at the time of Muhammad. On the contrary, we have evidence to prove that "islam" evolved a lot between Muhammad and the 9th century. The first material evidence of complete qurans, hadiths books and sira date from the 9th century. What happened before ?

the word islam was an adjective and not the brand name of a religion or sect or a social identity..

This is a recurring pattern, after a famous person died.. somebody created a religion out of him..
They created a religion based on Muhammad's life story and named it Islam.
They created a religion based on Jesus's life story and named it Catholicismus (Universal)
            The same old thing...

Islam has evolved a lot even after 9th century... the crescent and moon symbol is among the thing that was added after the 9th century. And the evolution of Islam (The brand name of religion / social identity) continues up until today..
Mandatory hatred towards the Jews and the West, rejection towards the idea of evolution; is another addition to Islam within 20th century..

              Peace Jafar.

Who is going to believe "history" without checking everything-Yes everything- with tooth and comb.

For example How is history going to write what goes on today around the world? For example

              https//www.youtube.com/watch?v=noln8nx43Sk

              Is this true or false?

Make up your own mind!!! Is what you know really what happened?
Humans can be wicked!!! They will do anything( Yes kill innocent people by the millions) and write it as "good" history!!!!
              GOD bless you.
              Peace.

All this stupidity of th pseudo-historian called Odon Lafontaine is based in the very flawned work of his mentor, the Christian pastor Edouard-Marie Gallez ''Le Messie et son Prophete", and the book of Orientalist Robert Hoyland "Seeing Islam as others saw".

His thesis is a mixture to Orientalism and willing, but with very serious flaws, based in pseudo-history.

This guy, Olaf, have been debunked by a Salafi convert. Look this video, which he is being challenged by French Salafi Karim al hanifi. It is French.

You can read "Seeing Islam as others saw" if you are interested, in the page of Olaf https//legrandsecretdelislam.files.wordpress.com/2015/05/r-hoyland-seeing_islam_as_other_saw_it.pdf

Recently I came across a youtube post by a person known for his views about hatred of Muslims and in it he talks about the story of Banu Qurayza in Medina (The story of Banu Qurayza, a Jewish tribe living in Medina, is one of the most significant and controversial events in the early history of Islam. It took place in the 7th century AD, during the time of the Prophet Muhammad- Ref https//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banu_Qurayza and honestly speaking I cant even quote from this source as some of the events are very graphic and strong).

My understanding is that the Quran forbids the killing of innocent lives, equating it to the killing of all humanity. If I dismiss this story as it originates from hadith books and cannot be considered reliable for clear reasons (for those who view the Quran as the ultimate authority and dismiss all such narratives, and it contradicts the fundamental nature of a Prophet who was sent as a blessing for mankind to command such mass killings), then it seems inconsistent with the teachings.

My question is are there any non-islamic sources which mentioned this event? but lack of contemporary non-Islamic sources does not necessarily disprove the event either.

Any one has any information on this, appreciate to share as this is very disturbing event and yes we all refer to Quran for guidance but we also cant outright rejects history as well if it is documented and supported by independent sources and in this case if not then why hadith writers bother to shoot their own foot by fabricating such an event?

                    Thank you

Thank you for sharing this thought-provoking perspective. The quest to understand Islam's origins and its historical evolution is indeed a complex and multifaceted endeavor. Your exploration into the hidden history of Islam raises important questions about the perception of the religion and its challenges in contemporary society.

As you highlight, there is an increasing discomfort towards Islam among non-Muslims, reflected in public opinion surveys and media narratives. The issues of doctrinal intolerance, internal conflicts, and challenges with integration are critical aspects that demand thoughtful examination.

Your mention of the reluctance or even prohibition within Muslim communities to engage in critical interpretations and discussions about these issues is particularly noteworthy. It underscores the need for open dialogue and scholarly inquiry to address the complexities and nuances surrounding Islam's history and its contemporary manifestations.

The pursuit of historical truth, free from ideological biases, is essential in gaining a deeper understanding of Islam's origins and its impact on the world today. By delving into historical research and reexamining traditional narratives, we can uncover valuable insights that contribute to a more informed discourse on this important subject.

Thank you for providing the link to explore further into this exploration of the Great Secret of Islam. It offers an opportunity for readers to delve deeper into this fascinating topic and engage in critical reflection on the complexities of religion, history, and society.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful reply !!!

Now can you please read my question again and try to answer it yourself? -)
                      cheers
