    Hi good logic,

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. If your making a scientific claim, it needs to be very meticulous and precise in the wording. It needs to contain advanced concepts of high level mathematics.

Taking into consideration these two principles, I would reject 2130 as speaking of the Big Bang theory.

      Hi javalatte,

I appreciate your honesty, I can see your a very genuine person, I have a lot of respect for you.

Sadly many Muslims believe in the Quran, because they think this verse is speaking about the Big Bang.

All you have done is show that the scholars hold different opinions as to whether the Qur'an supports the big bang or not. That is what you have said. What a big surprise!

?So unusual, oh my God, that there are different opinions on something of that kind!

And these many muslims who believe in Qur'an because of what you think they think?

      Man you do cover ground...

      Salaam

        Peace Nonmushrik.

I have not given you my view yet.

However I am going to ask you to explain 2130,if you say? I would reject 2130 as speaking of the Big Bang theory.

What is it speaking about, please give us your translation/opinion?

        Thank you in advance.
        GOD bless you.
        Peace.

          Hi huruf,

Actually I've shown that recognised Muslim scholars believe the Big Bang claim in the Quran is repudiated. If there are people who believe 2130 is speaking about the Big Bang, as I said before, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Yes you have already said that, so what, nobody here has claimed anything at all one way or the other. Go to those who claim and the the reasons from them, we are all very interested learners.

            Salaam

              Hi good logic.

On the plain reading of the text, I don't think it's speaking about the actual act of creation coming into being.

I think it suggests the universe was already there, then Allah separates the earth from it, how I'm not sure.

It may not even be speaking about the universe, it may be speaking about the earth and atmosphere being separated. It's not entirely clear.

                Peace Nonmushrik.

                Thank you for that.

In my view ,believing in Qoran is not about believing 2130 is about the big bang or not. This is irrelevant.

Personal opinions ,are just that. Each to what they want to believe.

For me the most important question is What is Qoran? Why believe Qoran at all?

If you are sincerely seeking answers, then study ,ponder Qoran and ask questions because you have a query/ies from what it is "really" saying"?
People find all sorts when their aim is to "abuse" Qoran.

                GOD bless you.
                Peace.

                  Hi good logic.

I appreciate your position, personally I need hard, not contended evidence to believe something.

I respect your approach to the Quran, I have nothing against you. Muslims who are claiming "divine scientific foreknowledge", that's the issue. Take care of yourself.

i personaly do not think the big bang is in the Quran, The meaning or interpretation in terms of scientific evidence of 2130 is slightly obscure, however i know many uninformed muslims using the (5147) verse to claim the expanding universe theory, whereas i am not an expert in Arabic, but im fairly sure the word the mistranslate as 'we are its expander' actualy means 'we encompass it'

                      Shalom Aleikhem,

When I was exposed to the claims about Big Bang and Expanding Universe being mentioned in the Qur'an, I was fascinated by it. However, when I finally devoted a lot of time into conclusively proving that the Qur'an indeed talks about those events, I failed miserably.

The Big Bang model is about the expansion of a singularity which gave birth to our universe. What the Qur'an talks about it very different than that. The "heaven and earth were joined together" bit is the bit which makes it sound like that singularity. However, the rest of the description aren't anywhere close to what the Big Bang model suggests.

                      Peace

at the time 1400 years ago,,, when quran revealed ,,, people at that time have no knowledge regarding energy, gravity , expansion and these type of principals that governs the law of nature....

so quran explained it in easy language so that these people will understand,,, and all of these ayats on big bang and expanding universe is in a order that even a child understand.... the very easy language of quran,, which is already challanged... now look at some verses even before the discovery of big bang...

                        PICKTHALL
Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens and the earth were of one piece, then We parted them, and we made every living thing of water? Will they not then believe? 1930

                        SAHIH INTERNATIONAL
Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe? 1997

and as far i believe at that time when people ask regarding this,,, people ask from prophet to explain this,,, so i think that what the reason for miraj,,or night journey,,, from that location the rules of universe at least this universe left beyond the understanding of our mind... so that he can expalin ,,, how universe work,,, on the same hand he order not to copy anythhing from me apart from quran,,, thats y historians who attribute false things towards prophet... make this subject fantasy,,, but modern science is telling us about the discovries now space time as well ,,, scientifically we need to ponder on this full verse...

heavens for a time being we can assume its far from oour understanding,,,
the second part of the verse is indicating we created every living thing(moving creature) with water,,, proved...by science..

both were unable to understand at that time... here on earth we did experiments and realsie bodies contain 60 to 70 of water... if we have non water we cant survive...so claiming these type of things can come only from the one who create all this at the first instant...

he dnt want to ruin ur discovries so he just tell u all the creation in 2 verses...and that verse is talking about the period of 13.7 billions years ago... what happened on this period ,,, dinosaurs,,, t rex ,,, nations,,, lava,,, metals,,, minerals it was not a hollywood movie... it was the creation of universe from the lord of all the universes,,,so it takes it time ,,, now we are able to understand a tiny bit of creation...

if somebody watch h2 channel there is a documentry on god and universe... go for it its from non muslims but alhamdullaih it was amazing ,,they proved it that there is an intelligent design ,,, but who was the designer...

alhamdulliah we muslim believe that designer is our Allah
