Your thoughts on deism
-
What are your thoughts on Deism?
Is not everyone who believes in a type of God a 'deist' even if they do not agree on how that God works?
*Does not accept the belief of most religions that God revealed himself to humanity through the writings of the Hebrew Scriptures (a.k.a. Old Testament), the Christian Scriptures (a.k.a. New Testament), the Qur'an or other religious text.
It is more about what they make of themselves. They do not miss much however if they follow most mainstream interpretations of "Holy Scriptures" (sectarianism). The Gospels of the New Testament is an exception, if you exclude how the Christian sectarian clerics think and rather read the text for what it says basically, i.e. avoid "sheephood".
*Disagree with strong Atheists who assert that there is no evidence of the existence of God.
Does not everyone who has faith in God disagree with atheists?
Evidence is what one makes of it. Obviously one must have an open mind to be able to grasp the fact there is evidence of God. The evidence is the World itself. Anyone who contemplates out of the box would draw the conclusion there has to be some sort of superior intelligence innate in the whole universe or else they are quite narrow-minded and irrational. Then you can ask them how the universe came into existence and they would be quite dumbfounded, although most of them divert the discussion into something else to avoid the question and do not seldom move towards mockery. You can ask them heavy questions which they will likely avoid anyway and which questions they cannot answer in any reasonable way using their logic. They will probably move over to debunking the sectarian version of God instead, using the same comb on you as everyone else who says they are a deist. That includes "If there is a God, why is there so much misery in the World?". It is like Madonna's song when she sings "I have heard it all before, I have heard it all before, I have heard it all before...".
But so it goes when you do not think beyond that nose in front of you.
*A few Deists believe that God still intervenes in human affairs on rare occasions. However, most believe that God is wholly transcendent. God does not listen to or answer prayers; God does not intrude in nature by creating miracles.
They are right in ways, God seldom intervenes in the World's play on noticeable levels for the average eye, but God does however express Himself through each individual who often carry out God's will without their conscious awareness.
(They believe that the only paths towards knowledge are logic, reasoning, and observation.
They are right, although the Spiritual growth of the mind will obviously have an affection on that ability.
*They respect portions of the holy texts of other religions, like the Torah, Christian Scriptures (New Testament) and Qur'an. However, they believe that these books are errant because they were written by humans; they do not believe that any of these books can be considered inerrant, inspired by God or to be the Word of God.
We have to respect their opinion. Considered the presentation of the Bible, for example, I do not rebuke them. I do not rebuke them for considering Quran a "man-made compilation" from the viewpoint that they have. I would myself unless I had been so stubborn in believing Quran to be the work of God that I began independent research personally and discovered that Quran actually says something else than what people in their delusion believe in Islam.
*They believe that miracles do not happen. The "world operates by natural and self-sustaining laws of the creator." 1 That is, the world continues to function under the same laws that God initially established.
That is true in ways. Generally the planning is so smart that each individual experiences their World as if God had no influence on it unless they are really observant. What you do in the World, each action, that is your responsibility, although one can blame stupidity on that blindness that is on people. The World generally runs as intended as an illusion although God is existence itself but we are made to believe the World is something separate.
*They do not view God as an entity in human form. God does not have human feelings like love, hate, anxiety, happiness, etc.
They are not unwise by their declaration. God does not have human measures of the attributes given by you which are driven by instincts. God as a phenomenon is also tremendously more advanced that the average person cares to realize themselves about. God is not really any separate entity from anyone but rather integrated into every living and dead matter. Quran often uses "My Rabb, your Rabb", for a similar reason, yet Rabb is an address and thus a kind of "name". God is way more complicated than what the sectarians with limited understanding proclaim. I translate Rabb as "Sustainer" or if I like to get more morphological I say "Foundation-Giver".
Are they astray or believers according to the quran?
Quran does never speak anything about belief in positive light. That is a delusion generated by an imaginative interpretation of the word 'amen' in Arabic which means 'be realized as', much like having/obtaining integrity like something. Belief is guesswork and no one should suppose there is a Rabb but they should feel the Rabb. Amen is generally meaning 'to realize' as an expression. Amen implies more than belief but acknowleding and even realizing yourself in something to be faithful to a cause. See an extract from Project Root List about Alif-Miim-Nun
Alif-Meem-Nun = become/feel safe/secure, state of security/safety, trust, become quiet/tranquil in heart/mind, become free of expectation of evil or free of an object of dislike/hatred, promise/assurance of security/safety, become trustful/faithful/confident, to believe/acknowledge it, manifestation of humility/submission.
You can also say that you are reliable or secure when you are 'amen b'allah'. It indicates that you serve God as intended.
More definitions from Edward Lane's Lexicon
.
(T.) you say, , inf. n. as
above, meaning I submitted, or resigned, myself to God.(ISk, T, K) a guardian (TA) trusty; trustworthy; trustful;
confidential; faithfulor , , he who shuffles the arrows;
Pay attention in this last italicized sample from the lexicon that the person is a "deputy", meaning they are like someone who substitutes another. Compare that to "amen b'alah" and you see the real meaning of it. It is about assignment and the trust of doing it. You see the meaning of "amen b'allah" means so much more than belief.
If you hear something else that is what the sectarian clerics and scholars like you to believe in their delusion. Avoid being a sheep. Amen is a very twisted word by the sectarian crowd and they have made it into what it is not. If you say 'amen' after a prayer then obviously it implies that you are supposed to live up, be faithful, to what you just read.
The people called deists are not more astray than many other people.

They're people with a healthy common sense..
The belief of "God wrote / authored / published a book" didn't started with Hebrew Scriptures..
It goes much earlier...The Israelites copied the idea from their master.. The Ancient Egyptian..
And their "Holy book authored by the Gods" titled "Book Of The Dead".
https//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Book_of_the_DeadA very good documentary about how life was during that time in Egypt.
https//youtu.be/Imvk1rQj0ecThe book of the dead will 'save you' from the torture you shall face after you die.
They were the first to introduce the notion of
"Salvation through a holy book"
Which shall become widely accepted (although the idea by itself is bizarre) the 'disease' spread throughout the globe through the spread of Christianity and Islam. And should I explain what the Ancient Egyptian believe on what will happen to those who don't believe in the "Book of the dead"?

Well i really believed in God and he answered my prayers in a "Tough love" way but i'm starting to doubt the scriptures and i don't know if this is because of how many unpleasant people are in this forum or the punishments in the quran that i don't agree with
Or maybe it's just a mistranslation but if i abandon the quran i fear that i would be lost and became a wanderer without guidance but at the same time i'm unsure of the quran or other scriptures
The quran speaks about miracles and scientific things that haven't been discovered from those time and that's why it's so hard for me to leave and also the code 19 couldn't be thought of by a mere human but strangely why am i not amazed by it?

If you abandoned or disregard the Book of the dead you will surely get lost during your way to your eternal after life.
And you shall lost your chance of eternal life and earn the fate of eternal damnation instead.Hurry! grab it at your nearest Egyptian temple while you still has time.
And oh.. the book shall cost you about $200,000 (if it's in today's USD)But such price is nothing compared to what you will get right?

As scientific as any other holy books..
What, did they talk about the big bang or something? Are you deistic or atheistic? Just asking though i'm interested in Deistics beliefs right now...

He is pulling your leg, Kamen. He is sarcastic...

Just see the documentary video above and watch it for yourselves..
The Gods authored book talk about heaven and hell, grave torture and judgement day with weighting of deed..

The first "holy book" ever in the world and the oldest book which introduce the idea of "Eternal heaven and hell" and "Judgement day". The master "holy book" which shall act as the source of idea copying by further holy books..
He is pulling your leg, Kamen. He is sarcastic...
A piece of sarcasm which all based on 100% facts..

I know...but i'm interested in Deism beliefs right now, but it seems that this is the only reply i get from jafar...i expected a sincere reply from this guy, the way he reply reminds me of the way hicham9 replies to anyone in this thread, remember him?

I am sincere.. all of the stated above are based on 100% facts.
I give you the reference of "a civilization who started the holy book based and human like gods belief system", which then branches to myriad of other belief system.
"Deism" (or others) is just a reaction to "Holy Book based and Human Like Theism" -

"Deism" (or others) is just a reaction to "Holy Book based and Human Like Theism"I meant your personal beliefs, you're deistic right? I'm more comfortable if a person personally explains his beliefs to me, personally, honest, and from his own knowledge without external references.
It's more fun that way dont'cha think?

Hello Jafar,
A piece of sarcasm which all based on 100% facts..
People can easily see the bizarre things on others yet very difficult to detect bizarre things on one self.Perhaps we can say you delved into parody and satire then, in a fairly sarcastic manner.
I read any information, even if it was simply my local psychologist or librarian, and could classify it as "holy text" because Wisdom is in the conveyed expressions and not from which source it is. The more one contemplates the more open their mind will be, but if they stare themselves blind on one lousily interpreted source (e.g. Quran, the Bible) they will lock themselves in, especially if they follow what people say about it rather than think for themselves. Truly free-minded thinking is scarce and actually people do not understand how sealed their minds are. Anyone who studies human psychology will understand how primitively and predictably a human acts. The entire point for us is to get out of that bubble, become independent individuals and not just sheep.
Ah well, you know that I agree with you on a lot of things already. Perhaps not the most interesting person to discuss with.

Kamenriderkiki,
Jafar has a different way of seeing things and I doubt he would call himself deistic by standard terms and he diminishes the importance of the "God phenomenon, and I share a myriad of his thinking myself. Both he and I may not suit the style of this forum but we remain here as another pole of thought compared to the mainstream religious beliefs that exaggerate the focus on worship and such for a God who apparently would not require such and as far as I understand Jafar does put forth the importance of behavior and self-realization too.

... so deism is just the belief in any deity?
do they have a book that can be studied, and ALLAH is the light of the heavens and the earth the similitude of his light is....i like the points man of faith makes but when you kamen use the term deism it kinda makes me think of a yes or no in comparsion to atheism. it's like is there something up there? do you choose to acknowledge that?
like the very start of reasoning, figure out what to believe and start a journey in life that will lead to spiritual growth, advances in knowledge, and a deep understanding of the universe to be shared through the ages......or just work with what's here, don't look up at the sky (because you don't want to say "i don't understand it", because that self admit ion will lead to more thoughts about the sky and other things you "should" work to understand, but ignore the realization and stop from the journeying of many prophets and messengers before you ), take it (what ever seems desirable at the moment, refusing to see beyond the moment of action) before it's gone.
this is the mental goal of every kafir to be ignorant of the sky, fruit decaying or changing state, and things not forced apun them such as gravity which forces things on them or breathing air which is another mortal limit.
As a muslim it does sound pretty sweet to be that ignorant because i've suffered for my faith but this is only a joking statement i've also grown from my suffering, but is this what you mean by deism? understanding life even though living like a monkey is sweet and easy as long as you avoid anything that will add depth and understanding to your existence also forcing responsibility on you, even simply ones like knowing not washing can cause sickness and you have to grow food to eat food?
is this a go for compared to a forget it question? it's not self defined like abrahamic monotheism my religion i follow the ways of Prophet abraham, it's a complete way because he lived a complete life it explains it's self based on he life as recorded in all the holy books from his god. this is true islam it's the explanation of islam, he's mentioned in all the holy books i believe except maybe the psalms of david but david being his offspring makes him mentioned there as well.
is their a prophet for deism like christ is "christ"ianity as in the way jesus christ lived his life ... he's meantioned in the holy books as well he's the offspring of Prophet abraham.
also is there a book... the quranist are a prophetless people the believe in one holy book but not in the prophet who sent it, their holy book say to follow my way of religion and that's to follow prophet abraham's way of life. ALL believers should be Abrahamic monothiest, they should suimbit to this it's ALLAH's command.
does deism have links in every holy book? is it a complete way of life? was there a prophet besides prophet adam for deism, i assume it's a first impression of earth thing (the strokes, lolz)

Hi Fye..
Let's not wave the word kafir all around everyone's faces who doesn't believe in the quran now shall we and let's not compare deists to monkeys also since the people of the book can be ignorant and reject some of the verses in the quran that he/society doesn't seem to be comfortable with(as seen in some of the guys in this forum).Deism isn't the same as atheism even though both of them rejects holy scriptures, Deism incorporates science fully and believes God as its creator, the reason for all this including science and they believe that God have given knowledge and morality to all humans without of a need of a scripture.
You've explained that the quran is a way of life for you and it seems that you've treated it as some kind of a guide book, a way around the jungle, your very own cookbook to bake the perfect cake.
Now since it's a way of life for you, and you've treated it as such then you've no temptation or second thoughts to it since it has became a part of you, your soul and mindset, and the quran have said that the quran is in the chest of whoever believes in him and you have no choice but to follow it according to 3336, now let me ask you this
1.If your best friend have committed adultery, his sex tape got leaked all over the school and more than 4 people witness this, and according to the quran you should give them a hundred lashes without pity, since it's your way of life, would you do this to your long time friend?
2.You have a friend, a girl, who has committed fahisha(lewdness/indecent act) such us what the people of Lot did back then, she's a friend of yours, and the punishment is that she must be confined until death takes them, a punishment that lasts forever, or nevertheless somehow another way, would you do this to your own friend? Would you have the guts to do it? She's your friend after all, would you do this for your way of life?
-
You have a homosexual friend, he's a good guy but according to 416 you have to fadhhum(punish/trouble) them in your own way or as Layth once said Making their situation uncomfortable the way he interpret fadhhum, so this verse is saying we should do some sort of bullying from my understanding, bully the hell out of him until he became hetero again, would you do this to your nice gay friend who had been your friend for a very long time for your way of life?
-
If your wife have committed lewdness and someone witnessed it and that person is forcing your wife to get 50 painful lashes(according to verse 425 they only have to endure half the punishment) would you let that man lash your wife, he is simply following his way of life the same as yours, would you let him? she may be fragile or may not survive or endure the barbaric process...
3336 It is not for an acknowledging man or acknowledging woman, if God and His messenger issue any command, that they have any choice in their decision. Anyone who disobeys God and His messenger, he has gone far astray.
Answer them sincerely...

hey kamen I use the word kafir because it makes me feel more "muslim" lolz. (I don't know much ar-abic so don't take that to heart it's just a state and all states are temporary in depth, ) I said money so you can realize we are not dealing with the same homo as we are today, a true religion would always have been the way of religion.
the quran says that the hypocrites say that "our hearts are the wrappings we need no more". as with all science a religion it has to expand if a new creature came into being it would have to know it's place, it's a book that guides to the right and warns of the wrong. how do you know if your right or wrong? of course we feel ways about our actions but we are subject to corruption think of people with fetishes that are adverse to nature pain feeling good??? what?
do deity-ist record their observations and compile them? do you guy keep a journal or record common gossip into a gospel of some sort.
not to bash but this is the first time I've heard of this and the word just means people who believe in a deity of some sort to me.
the quran is my guide and I believe everyone is a kafir but don't take offense no one has to prove anything to me it's with you and deity, maybe my unbelief is your strongest example of faith like resist ALLAH for love or because eating meat is considered murder or a horrible crime. Hindus don't eat beef but beef is lawful, yet again it's a heinous crime to the hindu to eat their gods/god figures. maybe it's alright for you to be a kafir to me, and alright for me to be a kafir to you.- yes that would be the judgement anyone who saw this tape would be a witness unless they are guilt of slandering a chaste woman and not repenting (in a different case), but it also says in the quran it is not for us to punish it is for ALLAH to punish, if he comes to me and says please I need these lashes to stop my life from spiraling out of control I'm going to say no go to an imam who has pity enough to discipline you but does not no you enough to care much for your life, also signing some binding contract so the fornicator doesn't try to sue would be in order as well. also jews still do this they have something called "blood atonement".
2.ALLAH's my only friend so I guess every muslim would because once again it's not for us to form an angry mob and march through town with burning torches she would have to come out and confess it, we may understand life differently I'm 27 so I have a view you don't I can't simply be grounded or punished I would have to punish myself or sign up for punish, if ALLAH wills my punishment it's good for me if I do something and the wait for thunder to strike me goes to long then I know I'm getting it back in the long run or being seized unaware. I say this because you used school as an example but when schools done life is always fair everyone still gets what they deserve it's just through different "vehicles" or means. if her way of life is islam she would do this to herself if not she falls deeper in hypocracy resisting ALLAH and his messenger even further, then she'll start lying adding to her sin, then she'll want to spread the evils of her heart, this is also meantioned in the quran it's a desire of an unbeliever. it's very easy to fall out of the bounds of islam, their are prerequisite to being an Abrahamic monotheist denying certain things can leave you an apostate.
3.surah nur says to admonish them (warn them), this is true again but they have to submit to punishment you can just go pushing people around, recall the story of prophet Abraham when he broke the idols? was he doing the right thing? we are told not to defame the religion of others it's ALLAH's way of letting them go astray? heck if he understood he would have sold them more idols LOLZ, no no that's also not good he would have simply understood that his people did not have the intelligence to be monotheist and they were doing what feels good, worshipping things on a whim, wild dedications to the moments they live in; even chastity is to hard for certain people. admonish him warn him and see what direction he'll go in, will he "stop" being gay after some thought or will he say I wildly dedicate my soul to the fires of hell for my resistence of the command of my creator. you can't just stop being gay or doing addictive drugs this is because you've tempered your very will to doing these things... can you just stop being yourself?
4.i understand what you mean this is a lashing without pity I've seen shites pass out from lashings by Saudi police, once again you'll have to prove it and with an oath like that it's proof enough, as yourself why would a person get that close to a punishment without proving it maybe they don't fear the punishment. fear aside she has to consent to punishment, I'm not using my freetime to punish adults we spend a lot of money paying people to do this for us she can simply choose to ask for the beating signing a contract so she can't sue or she can resist and be marked a rejector of faith (a rejector of truth) a kafir and possible treated as so if she is not a city that restrains the hand of shariah( these laws that call for these punishments).
if your in America you can simply go find another religion or go observe it on your own but you personal struggles will begin to make you regret not taking a punishment.
consider if you did a horrible crime and spend your life on the lame your billy the kid or something your living day by bday, on the plains constantly in need of water life is hard. consider the story of prophet musa he hit a man and made an end of him (he killed a guy; manslaughter) then he fled. he suffered much, he then found a watering hole and demanded justice for two women and prayed that ALLAH would give him any good he could (food, clothes, something he can sell for money). do you think that if that guy were somewhere (most likely not heaven he was slain by a prophet) watching do you think he'll say from his grave, okay he got what he deserved for killing me, I didn't even start that fight it was the guy he help that did?
as a deist I assume this would be you judgement of right and wrong, correct? you consider yourself judge enough to portion out punishments and disciplines not so far as judge dread and "sentencing " people but as in an angry mob shouting justices "let's get him" "he's a saint" "yeah that'll teach him".
do you rely on your own judgement and when you discover laws like American laws and how they connect to each other like truth supporting one another adding if and but to make a judgement precise do you say" oh, okay that's fair then". we observe biblical laws and quranic laws in America even the divorcing for half your stuff is preventable if you had given a dowery, obeying ALLAH will keep you within the law in most places.
deism is something I like from what I assume it is belief, belief in a deity mine is ALLAH my only deity
but does it grow with science does it investigate the science of law(more of a moral math), does it encourage you to read these books based on the obvious, a bunch of human beings are drinking from this water the quran or the bible maybe as a deist I should sample it and see what's drawing them in?
even Abrahamic monotheism had to grow from prophet adam to Abraham to the many messengers to the many centres of people to this date.sorry for long post

A simple yes or no question that you've turned into some kind of an intellectual discussion that i'm not sure of and it seems that you both disagree and agree at the same time as a result of the verses that conflicts with your inner moral value, and deep in you heart you know that it's not right

i did apologize for the depth of the post but just sop this doesn't turn into an argument where you lose power, the power to reject what you see as too challenging, like the cave man (hiding from the sky) verses the man who seeks and discovers.
