    Hello brothers and sisters!

"Indigo" as in the symbol of using your 6th sense to see through the veil of this world and to understand the truth within the Quran. If you don't know much about indigos, google it. It is where many people are consciously today because it has something to do with evolution of the human mind and spiritual consciousness state that we are in. I worship God just like a muslim is taught in the Quran, but I can also understand the subtle realities of the Quran living my daily life at indigo consciousness level which in the color spectrum is represented as the second highest vibration of frequency. I am not special, I just consciously wanted to seek for living a life of peace and bliss inside a chaotic world. Anyone can be or become an indigo conscious being.

I was brought to this site to meet other likeminded muslims by a friend and a member here. I haven't always been on the path of Islam, I actually started out as a Buddhist and then came to Islam after discovering the Quran and reading it in 48 hours. I am a teacher with a masters degree and so I understand context of words very well along with the historical significance of the Quran.

Being an empath has helped me learn to see the truth inside and immediately after reading the Quran, I knew I have always been a muslim and have been guided to follow this path by God. I am english speaking only, but since the Quran is for all mankind, the messages are powerful and clear to me even in English form.

Currently I am trying to use my wisdom gained by reading the Quran to build bridges between religions to help bring peaceful thought into a warring world. I have a blog, and youtube channel to help give unique, empathic and futuristic interpretations of the Quran to non-muslims and other muslims if they are interested. I am a Muslim without a sect and I do not need the Hadiths to understand the larger picture of the Quran revelations. I came to this site a few years ago looking for the truths of the Hadiths and WHY they are so different than the Quran and found the truth in this site's words.

Thank you to the writers and admins of this site, and I look forward into delving deeper into the wonders and wisdoms of the Quran. If interested you may check out my blog here https//indigovoice82blog.wordpress.com/

    Salaam!

              Peace.

I dislike to use the label, for a number of reasons

1, its a label and I have seen it misused by people who claim to be spiritually enlightened but are just confused in darkness.

2, because of its connotations with false ideologies and idol worship.

However I do consider myself an empath and that I am quite perceptive.

I look forward to checking out your blog and YouTube and hearing your ideas.

              Peace

I can relate to the essence of what you are saying. And I think you raise some good points.

In the past, I have shared some of my thoughts and views/opinions regarding labels, having an inclusive approach and staying united.

I'd like to share a few posts with you.

According to verse 2278 in Al-Quran (the reading), we have been named muslims (submitters/peacemakers) by our lord. Thus, if we are going to use any label to describe ourselves, it seems that muslim (submitter/peacemaker), is a label which is in line with the teachings of Al-Quran.

Quran 2278 Strive hard for God as is His due He has chosen you and placed no hardship in your religion, the faith of your forefather Abraham. God has called you Muslims??both in the past and in this ??so that the Messenger can bear witness about you and so that you can bear witness about other people. So keep up the prayer, give the prescribed alms, and seek refuge in God He is your protector??an excellent protector and an excellent helper.

I'd like to share a quote here.

...If people don't ask me if I am a muslim, I never tell them that I am a muslim. If a non-muslim asks me if I am a muslim, I never give him/her a yes or no answer. I just tell him/her that I believe in God. If however, a muslim asks me if I am a muslim, I tell him/her that I am a muslim, but I am not religious. Then I explain to him/her what I mean by being a non-religious muslim. I usually tell him/her that I believe in God and in the importance of doing good deeds, but I don't go to the mosque, I don't pray the sunni or shia way and I don't fast for 30 days in Ramadan. For some reason, almost all traditional muslims in my town or elsewhere seem to ask me if I am a muslim. For some reason this question is very important for them. Another question I often get asked is this What is your nationality/ethnicity? Sometimes I tell them the this I am a human.

For more than 2500 years ago, when the deeply knowledgeable philosopher Socrates was asked a question about his ethnicity, he alledgedly said

"I am not Greek, I am not an Athenian! I am a world citizen!"

I like the above mentioned quote very much. But at the same time, my nationality is important to me. I also like the western world and have adopted some western values. I love that fact that western countries have democracy, freedom of expression, freedom of religion, value scientific progress and value human rights. But at the same time, I have a strong sense of nationalism. I love my homeland in Asia, just as much as I love the country I live in (in the west).

Zinedine Zidane, one of the greatest soccer stars of all times, once said these words

"I am proud of where I come from and never forget the people I grew up with. Wherever I go, La Castellane is where I want to go back to."

                    • Zinedine Zidane

Zinedine Zidane lived in france but his ethnicity was algerian. While I was watching games the soccer world cup of 2014 a few weeks ago, I pondered upon the value of Soccer and came to the conclusion that this great sport can bring people (from different nationalities) together. I am a supporter of unity in diversity. And I am also a supporter of pluralism in society. I don't like and have never liked assimilation (loss of ones own identity).

Even though I live in the western part of the world, and like this part of the world very much, just like Zinedine Zidane, I will never forget my country or my people.

Well that's EXACTLY what indigo consciousness is...someone who can see the truths amidst the falsehood.

Interesting you say that, because recently I have been going more into the violet consciousness myself. I have been operating in the state of Indigo consciousness for many years now and am moving on into more of a state of loving everything that God created. So yes, I would say deep purple is a good representative of where I am at. But Indigo is a term being used a lot these days and so it is the term I use to connect to other muslim truth seekers.

                        Nice to meet you Jafar.

Pretty neat to meet other empaths here! Can I ask, when you read the Quran what is your experience as a muslim? Since I am so sensitive, I can almost feel like I am there present in the cave where Muhammad is being given guidance. It's a very emotional journey for me and I have even read other religious books, but NONE have done that to me like the Quran did. I have read it through three times now, and each time I find it take me on the same emotional journey that goes deeper and deeper into the wisdom of it.

                          Nice to meet you Timotheus!

There will be more to come. I find Qoran unique. Unlike any other book ,every time you read it you extract some new "treasure" from it.

                            Keep reading and studying Qoran.

But ,here is a "red" alert, stay loyal to GOD Alone.

                            GOD bless you.

"Indigo" as in the symbol of using your 6th sense to see through the veil of this world and to understand the truth within the Quran. If you don't know much about indigos, google it.

                                    Ok, will do...hmmmmm interesting

                                    "a pseudoscientific New Age concept"

Salaam IndigoVoice82 - Welcome to the site, and congratulations on finding Islam.

If I'm honest, I think the New Age religion is at odds with Islam. New Age beliefs lead people to a false sense of enlightenment, which is just arrogance parading as wisdom.

You stated that your sixth sense provides you with insights into the meaning of the Quran that are not available to anyone that lacks these superhuman abilities. You also claim that you are "so sensitive" that you have a closeness to the Prophet that regular Muslims are not able to experience. And you have started a website for publishing spiritualist interpretations of the Quran, despite being new to the scripture.

Sorry to give you a hard time. It's just that New Age beliefs tend to be at odds with Islam, which encourages humility, subservience and acceptance of our ignorance to the true nature of reality. Allah knows everything. We only know what Allah has revealed to us in His Quran. We try and reason about creation, ever mindful of our fallibility, but we do not have sixth senses or special sensitivities, and we can not pick up vibrations on the indigo level as empaths. At least, that is my take on things. Allah knows best.

Again, congratulations on discovering Islam, and welcome to the Free Minds community. I'm sure I speak for everyone in saying that you are very welcome here. Still, this is a forum for discussion of religion, so debate is inevitable )

                                      Salaam.

                                          Very well put.

I agree completely the new age doctrine is completely false.

However like with many 'religions' I believe there is some truth underneath the lies. I believe in a sense that enlightenment comes from God alone and that true believers can see 'through the veil'.

There are however many people claiming to be enlightened when really they are not, and it does lead to ignorance arrogance and a general 'us and them' mentality. I know because I used to be one.

In terms of the 'third eye' and vibrations etc I believe that people have a 6th sense. Call it intuition, guidance, ruh?, Idk but it's there I don't think any rational person can deny that. I don't think that we have conscious control over it though, as opposed to popular new age doctrines, although I have experienced things I struggle to explain.

I think it can be argued that everything is a vibration of energy. Can human beings possibly pick up on some unseen energy? Possibly.

Can they consciously control it or consciously know the unseen?
No I don't think so as only god knows and if he chooses to reveal a thing.

I think you can't reject everything about an idea just because of some obvious incompatibilities with the truth in parts of it.
