Can Satan do anything more than just wisper to our hearts and minds?

As per alquran, iblees and his likes can only whisper to our hearts and minds. It is us, Humans, who take the decisions and do the actions, be it good or bad.
Iblees and his likes, made of fire (energy), have the ability to make "non-truths". In fact, every thing in this creation is functioning according to the will of the creator the truth. On the other hand, "Non-truths" are allowed by the creator to exist only in this relatively small space which is "human's mind". In all this universe, "non-truths" exist only in human's mind, no where else I can think of.
This ability of humans to think or tell nontruths ( lies, misconceptions, false knowledge...) brings certainly many problems to humanity. Nonetheless, we have to admit that human civilization relies heavily on this ability, because even when we name a thing, its name is in no way a truthful representation of the named thing, it is only a concept in our minds to simplify our conversations. Ideas are only that, ideas in minds. Do ideas exist by their own? Outside of human minds?
All Human knowledge is made of ideas. Human thinking is simply an iteration of as much as possible of false ideas to get to the nearest idea to the truth (or conforms to the idea that suits our representation of the truth).
Fortunately, the creator have bestowed on Humans many other abilities, such as the seeing, the hearing, the mind... to be able to maintain the balance and to control our "non-truths" production, in order to avoid hurting ourselves or our environment.

Following is a question I posed to someone in the pm. However I am going to paste it here for everyone. The voices I heard was many years ago, I don't get them any more when I am sick. I also don't get any visions. So here is the question
I read your answer on what can Satan do. You said that all he can do is whisper. I have been diagnosed with schizoafective disorder( mixture of schizophrenia and the specific form of bipolar).
Without going into detailed stories, I have had visions, heard a voice coming from the sky( the voice swearing at me). The visions I had where " crazy". So, if Satan wasn't doing it, then who was? I know you can say my mind, but in a spiritual existence nothing is independent.
So, would you entertain s thought that maybe what I experienced, was from Satan, and how he did it according to the Quran?

he can whisper into other people, then they will be possesed with the idea of change your heart and mind and motives. you don't want to sleep with a certian woman, satan tells your friend to drug you and get you drunk, satan tells the woman give him a ride home. a concerted attack and everyone who helped is guilty of draging you into sin. satan whispers to a man reward them for their sin and they get free drinks for there evils and satan whispers into them, you gained power and respect, you moved up in rank. then they rejoice in their sense of accomplishment.
ALLAH's curse be upon satan.

I would say that according to following verse, Satan can do more then just wisper
002275 Those who devour interest do not rise except as rises one whom Satan has smitten with INSANITY. That is because they say, `Trade also is like interest;' whereas ALLAH has made trade lawful and has made interest unlawful. So he to whom an admonition comes from his Lord and he desist, then will that which he received in the pass be his; and his affair rests with ALLAH. And those who revert to it they are the inmates of the Fire; therein shall they abide.

Salam, use your ailment to bring you closer to God rather than focusing on shaitan. If it really is shaitan then you are letting it win by focusing on it rather than God.
If you feel scared, ask God for protection. If you feel something is bothering you, best way to counter evil is with good. Go out and feed the poor, or help build a home, or help in emergency rescue. There is always someone out there who needs help.
Grow your soul with every attack from shaitan rather than let it bring you down. That is how you beat it.

Religion is insanity. A mental illness. That's why religious people believe in this invisible man made of fire, flying around and whispering into their heads. Play the blame game and blame this imaginary devil when you fail to control yourself. If that's not mental illness, I don't know what is.

No. The most simplistic answer can be found in what you said yourself

That should tell you that your mind suffered from known problems arising out of physiological issues within your physical brain. Therefore, it renders and supernatural explanation redundant.
It's like asking if people think that Satan is pissing through my nose when I've already told them that the doctor diagnosed me with cold and flue.

salaam question if your physical brain was in perfect shape would said person still suffer from mental disorders?
or is mental disorder simply a physical thing? our bodies exist because of our physical conditions when our eyes become weak our vision becomes weak, when our ears are damaged we no longer hear, or do you believe it's a spirit thing or something?
the quran says satan asked for permission to call to those going to hell and led them under his sway ("way".is religion insanity? it all looks like a bunch of history, a theory of how the earth way created and behavioral stuff that help you to enjoy a good life.
maybe superstition is insanity the remains of insanity left by the insane who were accepted by a common history recording group of community. religion seems like the root of science to me. -

You are unto the right trail. The word Islam means sanity/wholesomeness.
The original Abrahamic faith wishes for its adherents to be rid of superstition triggered by Satan (the instinct) and to realize the world was put against them and the way out was to separate yourself from it.
The real meaning of "aslama l'Rabb" is to show wholesomeness such as Rabb (aslama does not mean submit and the root does not have anything to do with submission at all) and that was what our friend Abraham figured out. The whole test is to refrain from being diseased by the world's temptations and pass along separated from attachment to it. And the first step is to know you do not find "God" as an object but something universally within you. This is why the original spiritual teachers caused the phenomenon to be called 'the Who Is ' (Allah) i.e. whether you show manifestation of Rabb with you or not. Allah was never the word for God separately except in the minds of ignorant clerics and scholars.
Abraham was an excellent teacher, but it does not help when people distorted his teachings.
