The proof of 3 Salat in Quran

I speak very little Arabic, but in any case, according to youPeace,
I believe the Quran clearly states 2 salat (contact) times (something i have only recently accepted)
11114 You shall hold the contact prayer at both ends of the day, that is, section of the night. The good deeds take away the bad. This is a reminder for those who remember.

i believe the part in square brackets is a self contained explanation, i.e the two ends of the day, during the early hours/approaches of the night.
Theese are also the 2 salat mentioned by name in the quran, salat al-fajr and salat al-eisha.i believe that 2238 (mentioning al-salat al-wusta) is a description of HOW we should salat, not WHEN, i.e to uphold the salat, the best/foremost/most balanced (Wusta) salat, i believe this also is the best fit and interpretation of this verse. see the article below, it is alot better explained.
Also a big problem i have, is that God tells us that noon is a time for undress, and rest from the heat of the day. i cant recall the exact verse, but if there was a salat at mid day (i.e "the middle salat" as some interpret al-salat al-wusta) then that would be more important and worthy of mention than getting undressed and resting. (also if i recall correctly the verse is the same one which mentions salat al-fajr and al-eisha by name, and seems quite strange God would not mention the middle salat, as he mentions the two salat, and the time which this "middle salat" would supposedly be due, yet with no mention of there being a salat there.)

God says he made the quran fully detailed, and clear, and easy to understand. Now theese two salat, i believe, we can all agree are fully detailed, clear and easy to understand. The other 1-4 or more salat which certain people (including myself untill recently) uphold are not fully detailed, clear and easy to understand. and there are other problems with them, as described in the article i link (which is not my own work by the way, i believe if i recall correctly it is Wakas work, correct me if i am wrong)
I certainly feel at peace finaly with this interpretation, something i have not with any other. (i have gone from 5 - 6 - 3 - 10+ - 5 -3 -5 salat in the past and never realy been at content that it was the right way, as God describes)
Anyway i thought i would chip in, Praise God he guided me to this, and may he reward those who have dilligently studied this matter, and shared there understanding.

I came to this conclusion, simply by, i believe, Gods guidance, and the study i have done into the relevant words and verses in the past, not just from Wakas article, or any other, just simply researching the Quran, it is just something, i believe i have just finaly accepted.
however i am definately not an expert on arabic grammar, or the language itself, my arabic is very limited, i still believe that 'whether arabic, or non arabic, for those who believe it is a guidance and mercy' that regardless, if we are sincere, God will guide us.
I am always interested to study more and more, and open to the possibility of me being in error, and misunderstanding the Quran, God knows while I do not know, and any research or other evidence you have, i would much appreciate looking into, if you can send me some links, a message, email etc. My thirst for better understanding is ongoing, and i believe, god willing, will never end. as humans we can only ever hope to know very little, when as god says.. 'above every one with knowledge, is one who is The Knowing' thats from memory, which is not perfect.
I am curious where as-salat al-wusta is mentioned twice in the quran?

no where its mention twice.. my brother the articles of wakas are sound base and he did years of years research on it...
on the other hand read the history of people in the forum you will come to know the level of knowledge what everybody have... very simple

Im not that interested on the history of people, more interested in what God has to say, i believe he made the quran clear, and fully detailed, and yes i think all human beings know very little (especialy the ones who think they know lots haha) I think we can learn from each others understanding though, i believe thats why God puts us together with others, and i think it says something like that in the quran, along the lines of 'we made you all different so that you may know each other, not hate each other'

The night prayer is mentioned more, i do not know exactly where, i think between surah 25 to 30, i have read it a few days ago. Not wusta, but prayer at night, that is the wusta, ithink thst it is the wusta. You can read the thread, the main post and see if it fits in your understanding. Peace

Orthodox Jews and many Christians pray three times a day. Taking into account my (limited) understanding of the Quran as well as this I believe that only three prayers a day are explicitly mandated with the other two being recommended but not mandatory. Again I'm new to the Quran so any feedback is welcome.

there are only two (possibly three if you interpret it that way) salat in the quran. there are no more recommended or otherwise (in my understanding)
i would highly recommend reading this, as it is an informative article in regards to salat, and points to some of the reasons i trust in 2 salat. with as-salat al-wusta, in the context, meaning we are to uphold the most balanced salat (hard to translate, so im not realy going to try, i would recommend looking things up for yourself though)

however, i have no problem if people want to interpret it as being 3 salat, i dont think there are any more recommended or anything i think there are two decreed, but one could interpret 3. though salat is something we should strive to maintain as much as possible, it is a decree at specified times, to ensure that we get salat, even if we are otherwise distracted at other times, and as recommended we can stay up at night remembering our lord, and reciting/studying the quran.. speaking of which its getting a bit late, i think its about my bed time.. that article covers some great points, but of course, ask and ye shall recieve, and there is no substitute for our lords guidance, for he is the guiding one, and also the teacher of the quran, and all his beautiful scriptures.
