      Salaams Dell,
for you i have only found this single ayat

      2724
      PICKTHAL I found her and her people worshipping the sun instead of Allah; and Satan maketh their WORKS fairseeming unto them, and debarreth them from the way (of Truth), so that they go not aright;

So when people are debarred from Allahs way, and Shaitans of this world try to make THEIR WORKS fair seeming so they go not aright,

Do such people need Allahs help from where ever.I WONDER!

      Salaams.

        mz I agree with you.

idolworship is good in satans eyes and its wrong. But I still maintian God left nothing out of Quran and if God did not clearly tell us she was a prostiute then we have no source to conclude so. In fact, calling any woman who is not an adultress, as an adultress is a sin...to which God says those who do so have recieved God's condemnation in this world and in that. The end result is that she became a Muslim and thus deserves every ounce of respect from us. Calling a Muslim woman with no proof an adultress is sin.

If that is coming from the Bible, then also note the Bible says Solmon played a clever scheme to kill the husband of the Queen so he could have her. There's also a verse where he tried to become a pagan so he could please her (that's stupid). I know you won't believe me, but read for yourself on the forums of www.infidelguy.com under Chrisitianity and then Solomon with clear Bibilical verses.

          Peace be upon you MZ,

don't know if it was queen sheba who was the queen of prostitution in the country , the norm was prostitution of the country - the main trade of the country,i believe it was her.

Would Allah allow such a thing , especially when he sends a prophet next door, wouldn't such a prophet be quistioned on the day of judgment if he didn't take measurable steps to prevent it.

What are you talking about brother?

            Salaams.

mz357, you have spoken a horrible Munkar here and your penalty is grievous.

PickthallAnd those who accuse honourable women but bring not four witnesses, scourge them (with) eighty stripes and never (afterward) accept their testimony - They indeed are evil-doers -
Yusuf AliAnd those who launch a charge against chaste women, and produce not four witnesses (to support their allegations), - flog them with eighty stripes; and reject their evidence ever after for such men are wicked transgressors; -

Yusuf AliThose who slander chaste women, indiscreet but believing, are cursed in this life and in the Hereafter for them is a grievous Penalty, -
ShakirSurely those who accuse chaste believing women, unaware (of the evil), are cursed in this world and the hereafter, and they shall have a grievous chastisement.

              Peace be upon you Dell,

That's a topic I don't quite understand either.....idol1 you seem to think everything is an allegory and women are stupid without a man

              (226) SURELY The God does not shame that (He) gives/strikes an example/similitude(mathalan) , (of) any a mosquito (and) so what (is) above it, so but those who have faith, so they know that it (is) the truth from their Lord, and but those who disbelieved, so they say "What did God want/intend with that (as) an example/proverb?" He misguides with it many, and He guides with it many, and He does not misguide with it except the debauchers .

The God doesn't have a problem with SIMILITUDES and neither do I. SYMBOLISM is teh "speech of the birds" that we must all learn so we can control our "kingdoms", that is the example of Solomon.

Please tell me EXACTLY how you got out of that the idea that women are stupid without a man? I said NOTHING like that. I am discussing symbolism. Please come from the low level of GENDER so you might understand what I am saying. BOTH male and female have the "yin" and "yang" in EACH OF THEM. Do you disagre that EACH HUMAN, man or woman, must learn how to sow the proper seeds in thier NAFS? You have missed the entire point and are somewhere far off that is not even making sense. I am for he UPLIFTMENT of women. Women are more YIN than YANG , and are therefore VERY POWERFUL , which is why many wicked cultures try to SUPRESS them. Please read my position above again and try to see what I have said.

...from your posts that's all i derive pretty much from everything you write your end theme is everything = allegory

              No, just the symbolic stories.

.... man = needed to civilize women

This is a lie and I said NO SUCH THING. Please make sure you understand before you critisize.

and some nonsense about seed and soil.

              Your emotions are blinding you.

Do some research a child (male/female) is 46 chromosomes. 23 comes from mom; 23 from dad. That's G.O.D's arrangement. Both supply equally to the child...so much for this seed and soil crap.

Where did I talk about chromosomes? Sister, I have done and am doing my research. Lets talk about Testosterone and Estrogen and see what the God's arrangement says.

Seriously, first I used to read your posts, now they just seem like nonsense (no offense).

Makes no difference, I continue on my path. There is no compulsion for you to even read my posts. Peace to you. D

As for the queen being a prostitute/what not, there's no such indication in the Quran and let's no assume things we don't know.

Where are you and MZ getting this prostitute stuff from? Who said anything about prostitutes?

From the info we have of her, she seems to be a very democratic queen as she asks for the advice of her advisors without being in a rush to go ahead and declare a war. Also, unlike Solomon she uses the peace method. When Solomon says he'll destroy her, she inturn sends a friendly gift.

              She returns a worldly gift to which the PROPHET OF GOD responds;

(2736) So when (he) came (to) Soliman, he said "Do you extend/spread me with property/wealth ? So what The God gave me, (is) better than what He gave you, but you with your present, you be happy ."

Though Solomon was a prohpet, he was more prone to anger. I guess like Moses. Of course he was rich, thus I guess he did try to impose his belief of others. From what I've read in the Quran, I agree with Sladdin somethings he did were very aggressive and done out of anger/ego. He is not a god, but just a human. Just like Muhammed did many things wrong (proof is in Quran), I am sure so did Solomon. Hiding this and saying this was all okay (if you don't believe) in it is wrong. Only God is perfect. Prophets could have done somethings that God did not like either.

Yes, human beings ALL make mistakes, but the question is, do you think that the God gave you this story to point out Solomons mistake, or does it symbolize a CRUCIAL PROCESS in mankind that will allow us to have a "kingdom" like Solomon?

Please re read my post, you have not understood a single thing I said as evidenced from your response.

                      Peace be upon you Dell,

I did'nt have time to read your whole post...perhaps some other time

So how can you respond when you haven't read and understood the entire message?

, but for this one, here's an answer.

                      Quote
do you think that the God gave you this story to point out Solomons mistake

May be that was one point of God. God says God does not love the agressors and Solomon wanting to sacrifice/kill the bird just because it was late was a sign of aggression. God says do you force people to believe? Solomon forcing the Queen was such a sign. God says people pre-occupied with worldy gains are not loved by God. Solomon asking God for an army/kingdom never attained by anyone else was such a sign. I am not saying Solomon was bad mad, just pointing out that God wants us to know even messengers sin and God forgives many sins.....all this given as an example to learn! Perhaps to tell us that even if you are an agressor, so long as you have other good qualities in you, God doesn't dislike you.

So let me recap, you are saying that part of this story deals with Solomon being aggressive? How then was he successful? And if the lesson is that you can be aggressive and still succeed, what is the lesson?

Please answer the first post that you did not read before answering this one, please.

                      Quote
do you think that the God gave you this story to point out Solomons mistake

Why not? If there's a chapter (He Frowned) in the Quran pointing to us Muhammed's mistakes? If there are verses pointing to us Abraham's mistakes (asking God to forgive his idol worhsipping father), Chapter explaining Joanh abandoning God's mission, then why can't God use Solomon to explain to us, I forgive all sins and even my messengers might have some qualities in them that are disliked by me, yet I still forgive them

I did not say that the God does not point out mistakes, anyone who has been here for a long time knows I know the mistakes that the God points out. I asked you did you think the God gave you THIS story, Solomon's, to point out a mistake? Especially when the other examples you gave say CLEARLY what the mistake was, while this story is not consistent with that rule. Please tell me.
