    Peace everyone,

Many people believe that ghosts exist. They believe that ghosts are the souls/spirits of those who have died. They believe that there are haunted places. And they believe that there are souls that wander the earth after they are dead. Do ghosts exist? Are there any places that are haunted by ghosts? And are there any souls that wander the earth after they are dead? What is the Quranic stance on ghosts? There are several Quranic verses that sheds light on this issue. Thus, it's critical to use Quran as a criterion to know its stance on ghosts. But before we explore the Quranic stance on ghosts, let's take a look at the history of ghosts, and let's take a look at some facts about people's beliefs regarding ghosts.

In many cultures, stories of ghosts have been told to others. As a matter of fact, they have been told for thousands of years. The earliest history of ghosts, dates back to Mesopotamia. In Mesopotamian religion, there are many references to ghosts. Ancient Mesopotamians believed that ghosts could show themselves to people on earth if they needed to right some wrong. In Christianity, there are a few references to ghosts in the Hebrew Bible. For example, in the first book of Samuel, a disguised King Saul searches for a medium. He finds the Witch of Wendor and makes her summon the ghost of Samuel. The notion of ghosts was regarded as pagan by the medieval church. However, after the Reformation, ghosts became popular with Catholics. The belief in ghosts was also widespread in Egyptian culture. The ancient Egyptians believed that people's souls or spirits would continue to exist after death. And they believed that the souls and spirits of the dead could help/assist or harm those who were alive. If, for instance, the rites of burial had not been observed properly, or the living had committed some sin before or after the death of a person, the soul or spirit of that person would redress the wrong. There are also references to ghosts in Chinese culture. According to Chinese culture, ghosts take many forms based on how a person died. And ghosts are often harmful. In ancient China, many people believed that the souls of the deceased would continue to exist, and that they must be kept happy by offerings and honor. This is evidenced by the practice of ancestor worship. During the ghost month (the seventh month in the Lunar calendar), and especially in on the fifteenth day of The Ghost Festival, ghosts receive a lot of attention. In the past, ancient Celts, Greeks, Romans, Indians and Mesoamericans also believed in ghosts.

According to a Harris poll from 2014, 42 percent of Americans believed in ghosts. And a poll from 2013 conducted by YouGov in UK, found that 52 percent of the respondents indicated that they believed in ghosts. Also, in Asia a lot of people believe in ghosts. They have kept their belief in ghosts regardless of the rise of science, skepticism, secularism and modernism. Even in secular and technologically advanced countries like Japan and Taiwan, the belief in ghosts is still high. In liberal Scandinavia, a high percentage of people in this region are atheists and agnostics. But even though a high percentage of people in this region are atheists and agnostics, there is still a high percentage of people who believe in ghosts. The notion of ghosts haven't been proven by science. Most scientists are skeptical regarding the existence of ghosts. But spooky stories and reality TV shows about ghost hunters, continue to reflect our culture's fascination with ghosts. Robert Clarke, an author, argues that England is the most haunted country in the world. In London, 50 Berkeley Square has been known as the most haunted house in that city. However, when Roger Clarke mailed Maggs, the antiquarian booksellers who have been there since 1938, he got this reply "There are absolutely no first-hand accounts of anything. It?s fiction reversing into reality." Similarly, belief in ghostly possession had almost disappeared in the United States until the movie The Exorcist came out in 1971. Now this belief is widespread. A celebrated ghosthunter once remarked this "People don't want the debunk, they want the bunk."

According to the Quran, the souls of humans are taken by God when they die. This means that the souls of dead humans can not assist or harm people on earth. There are no verses in the Quran that supports the idea of haunted places, or souls that wander the earth after they are dead. And there are no references to ghosts in the Quran. Since the souls of humans are taken by God when they die, then this means that their souls can not remain on earth. Hence there souls can not haunt people or places. In verse 3942, the Quran clearly states that the souls of humans are taken by God when they die.

Quran 3942 God seizes the souls at the time of their death; and for those that have not died, during their sleep. He then keeps those that have been overtaken by death, and He sends the others back until a predetermined time. In that are signs for a people who will think.

According to the Quran, the souls of humans will be raised on the day of reckoning/resurrection. And according to the Quran, none in the heavens can perceive when they will be resurrected. This means that those who are dead, can not perceive when they will be resurrected. These teachings of the Quran suggest that those who are dead are unconscious or are living in another state of existence. Since the souls of those who are dead will not be resurrected until the day of reckoning/resurrection, then this means that their souls can not remain on earth. Thus, there souls can not haunt people or places. In verse 2315-16, the Quran clearly states that people will be resurrected on the day of reckoning/resurrection. And in verse 2765, the Quran clearly states that none in the heavens can perceive when they will be resurrected.

Quran 2315-16 Then after that, you will die. Then you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection.

Quran 2765 Say "None in the heavens or the earth know the unseen except God. And they do not perceive when they will be resurrected."

According to the Quran, the dead can not hear the living. So if a man or woman says that he or she has spoken to the ghost of a dead person (e.g. his or her mother), and that the ghost of the dead person have been able to listen to him or her, then he or she is telling a lie. Since the Quran states that the dead can not hear the living, then it is impossible for the dead person to hear a man or woman that speaks to that dead person. In verse 2780, 3052 and 3522, the Quran clearly states that the dead can not hear the living.

Quran 2780 You cannot make the dead hear, nor can you make the deaf hear the call when they turn their backs and flee.

Quran 3052 You cannot make the dead listen, nor can you make the deaf hear the call when they have turned their backs.

Quran 3522 Nor equal are the living and the dead; God causes whoever He wills to hear; and you cannot make those who are in the graves hear.

According to the Quran, the dead can not speak. So if a man or woman claims that the ghost of a dead person (e.g. his or her mother), has spoken to him or her, then he or she is telling a lie. Since the Quran states that the dead can not speak to the living, then it is impossible for a dead person to speak to the living. Thus, it's obvious that the souls of the dead have no ability to speak to the living. In verse 6111 and 1331, the Quran suggests that the dead can not speak.

Quran 6111 And if We had sent down to them the angels, and the dead spoke to them, and We had gathered before them everything, they still would not believe except if God wills. Alas, most of them are ignorant.

Quran 1331 If there were a Quran/recitation with which mountains were moved, the earth were sliced, or the dead were made to speak? No, to God is all matters. Did not those who acknowledge know that if God wished He would have guided all the people? As for those who reject, until God's promise comes true, a disaster will continue to strike them or alight at near their homes because of what they do. God does not breach the appointment.

In this post, we have seen that there are no verses in the Quran that supports the idea of ghosts that haunt places, or souls that wander the earth after they are dead. The Quran teaches/instructs the servants of the God to use their reason (822 and 2171). The Quran doesn't support superstitious beliefs (451). The Quran doesn't support blind following (1736, 6116 and 1036). The Quran advises the servants of the God to not follow their fathers, but instead follow the revelations of the God (2170). The Quran teaches/instructs the servants of the God to use their reason (2171 and 822). Finally, the Quran suggests that the concept of ghosts is a myth (3942, 2315-16, 2765, 2780, 3052, 3522, 6111 and 1331).

        taro.

        nice post ,

but again, people are misunderstoood about ghosts that they are lost spirits,

there are beings like jinn beings, angel beings, that are confirmed by quran. i know according to GA pervaiz understanding jinn are just a fictions , and you are much influenced by him , no doubt his workks and understanding are quite excellent , but views are just views , everybody ahve right to make their views whatever they understand, but again these two things are confirmed we although cannot see them but we can feel them , that make it haunted becoz , fear is a state of mind when mind have no grip or understanding of any existence which is not percived by eyes.

again apart from these two what about the other creations of God , extra terrestrial beings. although there is not a clear verse of quran regarding extra terrestriol beings but there are some hints verses that may refer to them.

4229 From among His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the creatures He spreads in them. He is able to gather them, if He wills. (literal meanings)

The Monotheist Group (The Quran A Monotheist Translation)
4229 And from among His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the creatures He spreads in them. And He is able to gather them, if He wills.

Muhammad Asad (The Message Of Quran)
4229 And among His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and of all the living creatures which He has caused to multiply throughout them33 and He has the power to gather them whenever He wills.

        Rashad Khalifa (The Final Testament)
4229 Among His proofs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the creatures He spreads in them. He is able to summon them, when He wills.,

Shabbir Ahmed (Quran As It Explains Itself)
4229 And among His signs is the creative design of the heavens and the earth, and the living creatures which He has dispersed throughout them. And He is Able to gather them together when He wills.

although not intelligent one like the aliens what we know, or may be more intelligent than what we cant even imagine. more than aliens .

now a days the sight of some unsusal happenings making some people firm beleive that alien do exist , by their vehicles, tecnology, ufo sighting of strange lights , secret ufo files revelead in the public for tv channels in which it contain lot of interesting information.

so what i am trying to say, no doubt the ghosts are not the spirits/character of human beings quran confirms it,
but ghost may refer to the things which we have no exact knowledge , possibly

        peace. God bless you.

          As Salaamu Alaykum Taro Hiroshi

This is an excellent post and I agree with the premise that there is no such thing as ghost, spirits, haunted houses or that people can talk with the dead or they can speak with us. These are nothing but superstitious beliefs that Islaam does not recognize. The revelation of the Qur'aan deals with true science.

There are a lot of people who do not understand the true nature of the JINN and think they are invisible spirits while on al ard (the planet earth) which is totally false and unfounded in Al Qur'aan. You might be interested in the document below where I conducted some research to rebuttal Arnold Yasin's research or misguided information about the JINNS and in that debate I clearly proved using Al Qur'aan that the JINNS again while on the planet earth are not invisible spirits floating around in the air like many people who has been misinformed about.

"I did not create the Jinn and the humans except to serve Me." (5156)

"He created the human from a clay, like pottery. And the Jinn He created from a smokeless fire." (5514-15)

"And We have created man from a clay hardened and shaped. And the Jinn, We created him before that from the fire of the fierce hot winds." (1526-27)

"O Children of Adam, do not let the devil afflict you as he evicted your parents from the paradise; he removes from them their garments to show them their lusts. He and his tribe see you from where you do not see them. We have made the devils as allies for those who do not believe." (727)

"And the Day We gather them all 'O tribes of Jinn, you have managed to take many humans.' Their supporters from the humans said 'Our Lord, we have indeed enjoyed one another, and we have reached our destiny to which You delayed us.' He said 'The Fire is your dwelling, in it you shall abide eternally, except as your Lord wishes.' Your Lord is Wise, Knowledgeable." (612

"And for Solomon the wind was given, traveling one month coming and one month going, and We caused a spring of tar to flow for him. And from among the Jinn are those that worked for him by his Lord's leave; and any one of them who turns from Our commands, We shall cause him to taste the retribution of the Fire. They made for him what he desired of enclosures, and statues, and pools of deep reservoirs, and heavy pots. ?O family of David, work to show thanks.? Only a few of My servants are appreciative. Then, when We decreed death for him, nothing informed them of his death until a worm kept eating from his staff, so when he fell down, the Jinn realised that if they had known the unseen, they would not have remained in the humiliating retribution." (3412-14)

Download my document on the JINNS, I have addressed all those points that you mentioned. Keep in mind there is no smoke, fire or smokeless fire in the Spiritual Realm (Jannah) like in the verse that you quoted (5514-15). You have to keep in mind that Allah has to use things that we are familiar with in the Physical Realm to give us an inclination or an idea of what He is talking about. Believe me Allah made is very clear of the true nature of the jinns and they are not invisible spirits floating in the air while on the planet earth. Keep this in mind at one time when they were in Jannah (The Spiritual Realm) they were in the spiritual form but Allah has cast them from Jannah and placed them on the planet earth and while they live on earth they are not spirits by a long shot. I also like the verse that you quoted (3412-14) which proves that the jinns do not have no knowledge of the unseen.

                  Salaam imrankhawaja

I also like the verse that you quoted (3412-14) which proves that the jinns do not have no knowledge of the unseen.

                  w salam brother,

its about character/self/personality what have in jinn and in humans

human got a burden of garment call body whereas jinns have different set of rules which we have no knowledge apart from what God already told us,

by smokless fire mean its a metaphorical sense for making us understand the closest understanding we can say energy or form of energy ,

same when we consider ourself as a product of clay apparently its not clay its skin , but when we analyse the properties of bodies in lab we understand we have the similar properties what clay/dust have.

issue here is not about our material and nature of substance ,
common thing in both beings is self/character/personality and thats what real person is.

bodies are just for residence for self/character .

rest of the things inn universe is programmed by default to do exactly what they need to do, like trees, sun , moon, angels.
they are fixed laws already programmmed.
we jin/human are not fix law we have given a choice to select the path and decide for ourself what is best and worst, thats y sometimes our judgement is wrong and we get results in negetive shape sometime its positive,
its a quite honarable thing at the same instant its quite risky .

BTW i did read your post, but theere is nothing there that indicate there is no such existence exist, on the other hand in the light of quran jinn are defiantely beings in which shape/matter its a different discussion.

GA pervaiz understanding of jinn is bit doubty . and rest of the quran alone scholars are not agree with him on this specific issue including javed ahmed ghamidi.

                  God bless you
                  peace

                    Peace imrankhawaja,

                    taro.

                    nice post ,

but again, people are misunderstoood about ghosts that they are lost spirits,

there are beings like jinn beings, angel beings, that are confirmed by quran.

Do you have any Quranic evidence which supports your claim in regard to angel beings? I am open to the idea that there are angel beings if there is quranic evidence for it. A claim can only be known to be true if there is evidence for it. Right?

i know according to GA pervaiz understanding jinn are just a fictions , and you are much influenced by him , no doubt his workks and understanding are quite excellent , but views are just views , everybody ahve right to make their views whatever they understand, but again these two things are confirmed we although cannot see them but we can feel them , that make it haunted becoz , fear is a state of mind when mind have no grip or understanding of any existence which is not percived by eyes.

I don't agree with everything Ghulam Parwez claims or everything other muslim scholars/thinkers claim for that matter. All scholars/thinkers are fallible. Because all scholars/thinkers are only humans. Only an all-knowing being can be infallible (free of error). Because only an all-knowing entity knows the outcome of every action, the cause of every effect. And since humans are not all-knowing, they are bound to make mistakes. In my view, some of G.A. Parwez's views are incorrect. He himself acknowledged that there is always a possibility of error on his part, and that what he have understood should not be taken to be the last word. He even advised his readers to examine what he have written in the light of the Quran, and told his readers that wherever they spotted a flaw, they must show him the error of his logic with Quranic support. As is evidenced by my past posts about Jinn on FreeMinds, my views regarding Jinn are different than G.A. Parwez's views regarding Jinn and also other muslim scholars/thinkers views regarding Jinn.

I haven't taken a stance regarding what the quranic word/term Jinn means. I have decided to not take a stance regarding what the the quranic word/term Jinn means until I have studied it in detail. By the way, G.A. Parwez was not the only muslim scholar/thinker who had a different understanding of Jinn than traditional scholars/thinkers. Muhammad Asad also had a different understanding of Jinn than traditionalists (see this article).

again apart from these two what about the other creations of God , extra terrestrial beings. although there is not a clear verse of quran regarding extra terrestriol beings but there are some hints verses that may refer to them.

I agree with you when you say that there are some hints in verses that may refer to them (extraterrestrials/aliens). Although I believe that there is intelligent life elsewhere in the universe, I don't know if extraterrestrials have visited earth from outer space. And until now I haven't seen any evidence which shows that extraterrestrials have visited earth from outer space. I prefer facts and evidence, not speculation and conjecture. For all we know, all UFO sightings throughout history might have beeen secret military technology. History shows that a lot of UFO sightings from the 1950's and 1960's were spy planes. They were not UFO's from outer space.

although not intelligent one like the aliens what we know, or may be more intelligent than what we cant even imagine. more than aliens .

Although I think the notion that there is intelligent life in the universe is wondrous, I don't want to waste my time or energy or on pursuing things that can't be known or things that are almost impossible to discover with the technological limits of this time and age. I'd rather spend my time researching/investigating facts and evidence than to waste it on "speculation." Speculation can never substitute the truth.

now a days the sight of some unsusal happenings making some people firm beleive that alien do exist , by their vehicles, tecnology, ufo sighting of strange lights , secret ufo files revelead in the public for tv channels in which it contain lot of interesting information.

UFO's and aliens/extraterrestrials are not necessarily synonymous. In regard to vehicles, they might have been secret military technology. Although there is a lot of evidence which shows that unidentified objects have been observed, this doesn't necessarily mean that aliens/extraterrestrials exist. For all we know, all unidentified objects that have been observed throughout history might have had human pilots in them or been remotely controlled by humans that have been located somewhere on earth.

so what i am trying to say, no doubt the ghosts are not the spirits/character of human beings quran confirms it, but ghost may refer to the things which we have no exact knowledge , possibly

I'm glad to hear that you think ghosts are not the spirits of human being beings (since the quran confirms it).

                    peace. God bless you.

May the God bless you too.

Ghosts... eh... I have no idea how I feel about them.

TV shows just seem so real. & hmm

Don't believe everything you watch on TV. Many people call it the idiot box for a reason. Nah, just kidding. P Actually, I love watching TV. And I love to watch sports on TV. One of my favorite shows is "A person of interest", by the way. I also like to watch NHK World TV. It has a lot of good shows, in my opinion. In addition to that, there are several other shows that I like. Especially shows from the country I am residing in.

Although "TV shows" about ghosts seem real, this doesn't necessarily mean that ghosts are real. I think there are a lot facts about the world on TV, but there also appears to be a lot of fiction on TV. Thus, a lot of things that seem real on TV might actually be false. There is a difference between appearance and reality.

                        evidence number one

The Monotheist Group (The Quran A Monotheist Translation)
1850 And We said to the angels "Yield to Adam." So they all yielded except for Satan. He was of the Jinn, he disobeyed the order of his Lord. Will you take him and his progeny as allies besides Me, while they are your enemy? Miserable for the transgressors is the substitute!

Shabbir Ahmed (Quran As It Explains Itself)
1850 Recall when We said to the angels, ?Humble yourselves to Adam!? They all humbled themselves except Iblees. He was of the hidden selfish desires that drifted away from his Lord's command. Will you still befriend him and his comrades rather than Me? And they are enemies to you! Miserable is the exchange the wrongdoers make.

your fav scholar shabbir ahmed interpretation is in there speciallly for you, lolxxx

                        evidence number 2

6111 And if We had sent down to them the angels, and the dead spoke to them, and We had gathered before them everything, they still would not believe except if God wills. Alas, most of them are ignorant.

                        evidence number 3

68 And they said "If only an angel were sent down to him?" But if We had sent down an angel, the matter would be settled, then they would no longer be respited.

69 And had We sent an angel, We would have made him appear as a man, and We would have confounded them in what they already are confounded.

                        evidence 4

351 Praise be to God, Initiator of the heavens and the earth; maker of the angels as messengers with wings of two, and three, and four. He increases in the creation as He wishes. God is able to do all things.

                        evidence 5

666 O you who believe, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is people and stones. Guarding it are stern and powerful angels who do not disobey God in what He commanded them; and they carry out what they are commanded to.

list is still going on but if you need more evidences i will send you in seperate link.

now tell me first somebody ask me about jinss now they are coming on angels,

let me know what you gona ask next,

                        human beings dnt exist, hahahahaha

if it exist prove me from quran?

is it your next question, and if i also provide reference of human being from quran,

its better to stick on topic , which i was fully agree with you , that spirits of human being cant be ghost,

but the paranormal reffered to something which we have no knowledge off, simple is that.

                        God bless you

you need to filter your document in the light of quran, share some verses here like i share , i didnt see any evidence in quran that indicate jinn are a human race tribe family or whatsoever. its totally different creation with respect to human and angels.

                            peace.

In the document I have presented several examples to prove that the jinns while on the planet earth are a human race, people, family, tribe, clan. Below is one of the verses that I used to prove this and notice that Allah describes both us and the jinns as rijaal which means people, men, human race. This verse below totally destroys the false notion of jinns being spooks, spirits floating in the air.

Muhammad Asad (The Message Of Quran)

                                  thats what it means.

and all the translations by different experts will help you understanding this verse.out of these four translations 2 of them are native arabic speakers and one of them is urdu speaker, urdu also derived from arabic. and last one is from monothiest group including arabic english urdu persian speaker world wide. a perfect set of translations i posted here for your help.

you are welcome to post any more verses. inshAllah i will prove what quran confirms already

imrankhawaja when you said this "native arabic speakers" this actually means nothing, just because someone is a native Arabic speaker as you highlight does not mean they know the Qur'aan nor does it mean they will present the truth of the Qur'aan. The last two English translations that you presented by Rashad Khalifa and Muhammad Asad has mistranslated that verse and I'm surprise you did not see that especially when Allah described the jinns as rijaal (which means men, people, human beings). Below are two dictionaries which proves what rijaal actually means

                                  http//i1185.photobucket.com/albums/z354/zyvn55/rijaal%20dictionary%201.jpg

                                  http//i1185.photobucket.com/albums/z354/zyvn55/rijaal%20dictionary%202.jpg

The word rijaal describes a man, a human being in all respects and again this is the same word that Allah used with the jinns because Allah is plainly telling you that the jinns are men, people, human beings, just like you while they exist on the planet earth.

When you read that verse (Qur'aan 726) with an open mind, it is clearly and directly telling you that jinns are men, people and not spirits, spooks floating in the air and the evidence of that is the use of the word rijaal in the Holy Qur'aan. Again note that Allah used the same word rijaal for both us and the jinns because we are both men, people, human beings. You cannot get around this nor try to distort Arabic grammar to conceal the truth like the two last translations you presented by Rashad Khalif and Muhammad Asad. The real problem or difficulty that you have as to why you cannot see this which is basic context and elementary Arabic is because of your belief system that you have of believing that jinns are invisible spirits. This form of programming is effecting your ability to see the correct interpretation of that verse (Qur'aan 726) that I presented. Now let me further prove to you what does rijaal means. I will prove to you using the Qur'aan. You will see that the way Allah uses the word rijaal, it means men, people, human beings, human race, etc. and again this is the same identical word that Allah uses for the jinns. Below is more evidence that I presented in my document

                                  http//i1185.photobucket.com/albums/z354/zyvn55/rijaal%201.jpg

                                  http//i1185.photobucket.com/albums/z354/zyvn55/rijaal%202.jpg

                                  http//i1185.photobucket.com/albums/z354/zyvn55/rijaal%203.jpg

                                  http//i1185.photobucket.com/albums/z354/zyvn55/rijaal%20break%20down.jpg

Now I have proven to you that the jinns are men, people, human beings. However, since you believe they are invisible spirits, spooks floating in the air while they are in the physical realm, I want you to prove this. Show us a verse in the Qur'aan while the jinns are on the planet earth that describe them as a ruwh (spirit)?

I also have a question for you, when the Angelic Beings come down on earth are they spirits or are they men?

                                    Walaikum Salam Al Khidr19,

This is an excellent post and I agree with the premise that there is no such thing as ghost, spirits, haunted houses or that people can talk with the dead or they can speak with us. These are nothing but superstitious beliefs that Islaam does not recognize. The revelation of the Qur'aan deals with true science.

Thank you for your kind words. I agree with your views.

From the information you have shared on this thread, your research seems interesting. Thanks for sharing this document.

                                      Al Khird19,

Excellent post regarding Jinn, by the way. As you know, the Quran suggests that Jinns have been created from fire. And it suggests that humans have been created from mud/clay.

I'd like to ask you a few questions. Do you believe that Jinn and Humans belong to the same race? Do you believe that Jinn are clans/tribes among humans? It would be interesting to hear your thoughts.

                                        Peace imran,

Your so-called evidences from the Quran lack explanations of the Quranic verses you have quoted, lack knowledge about the basic meaning of the root MLK, lack knowledge about the word Malaika (which comes from the root MLK) and lack knowledge about the different meanings of the word Malaika in regard to the different contexts in which this word/term has been used in the Quran.

All you have done is to share a few verses from the Quran where the word Malaika has been used. Is that what you call evidences from the Quran? Personally, I don't consider that to be evidences at all. The arguments in your post are not strong. I strongly recommend improving your critical thinking skills by learning the basics of argumentation. In a past thread on FreeMinds, Wakas has shared a link to an online course on critical thinking in one his post. It's an excellent course, in my opinion. Therefore, I deeply recommend it. You can find a link to the course on critical thinking here.

your fav scholar shabbir ahmed interpretation is in there speciallly for you, lolxxx

Until now, I have written 572 posts on FreeMinds. As is evident from my posts on FreeMinds, I have never mentioned who my favorite scholar is or if I have a favorite scholar at all. Shabbir Ahmad have done a great service in regard to spreading the message of "Quranic islam." He is a force to be reckoned with. And he has probably contributed at least 1000 times more to the cause of islam and the quran than you have done. So instead of laughing (saying lolxxx), you should acknowledge Shabbir Ahmeds efforts/contributions to "islam based on the Quran." Have you read any of his books/works or parts of his books/works? The reason why I am asking you this question is because it seems like you haven't read any of his books/works or parts of his books/works.

Although I acknowledge Shabbir Ahmed's efforts/contributions to Quranic islam, he is not my favorite scholar. Actually, I don't have a favorite scholar.
So your comment has no basis in reality.

                                          Salaam Taro Hiroshi

I'm honored that an intelligent brother like your self took the time to read my document on the Jinns exposing Arnold Yasin pseudo interpretation of the scriptures and also thank you for the questions.

As I have discussed in my document on the jinns, I believe that Allah used the word "fire" to denote or to let us know that they are deadly, dangerous, not that there is literally fire in the Spiritual Realm.

I will be happy to respond to your questions below

"Do you believe that Jinn and Humans belong to the same race?"

At one time, Iblis/Devil/Jinns were in Jannah (Heaven or Spiritual Realm) along with Adam and Hawaa and as we can see in the verse below, Allah placed them on al ard (the planet earth or physical realm)

                                          http//i1185.photobucket.com/albums/z354/zyvn55/Adam%20Eve%20Jinns%20Devil%20placed%20on%20earth.jpg

When they transcended/manifest/incarnated/translated (or what ever term one wants to use) from the Spiritual Realm to the Physical Realm, they (all of them) became physical human beings. It is important to highlight that grammatically the Jinns in the Qur'aan has always been used in the plural form. You will never find the word "Jinns" in the singular form. Also the word devil or satan in Arabic has been used in the singular and the plural form throughout the Qur'aan and this is some of the reasons why they are described as PEOPLE, MEN, TRIBE, FAMILY, CLAN. Allah tells us clearly in the Qur'aan that the devil or jinns on the planet earth have a descendant, bloodline, progeny, offspring which further destroys the false Christian belief that they are invisible spirits floating around in the air

                                          http//i1185.photobucket.com/albums/z354/zyvn55/Quraan%2018%20verse%2050%20jinns%20has%20descendants.jpg

Now to directly answer your question, I do not believe Jinns and Humans belong to the same race. I believe both Jinns and Humans are RIJAAL (MEN, PEOPLE, HUMAN BEINGS) but they are separate races from each other. I believe they have their bloodline and we have our bloodline; I believe we are the direct descendants of Adam (Qur'aan 41) and the Jinns are a direct descendants of the devil or of themselves (Qur'aan 1850). Adam, Hawaa and the devil/jinns came down on al ard (the planet earth) as separate people (Qur'aan 236-3.

                                          Qur'aan 41
O people, observe your Lord who created you from one being, and created from it its mate, and through them He spread many men and women. You shall regard Allah in whose name you appeal to one another and the ties of relationship. Allah is watching over you.

Now I would like to answer your other question

"Do you believe that Jinn are clans/tribes among humans?"

Yes I believe that Jinns are clans/tribes among humans.

Let me share this verse with you to show how we and the jinns are living among each other and also note that Allah says that He sends US (HUMANS AND JINNS) Messengers (Rusul). Messengers (Rusul) are men, human beings so this verse further proves that the Jinns are men, people, human beings like us on the planet earth

                                          http//i1185.photobucket.com/albums/z354/zyvn55/Quraan%206%20verse%20130%20send%20Messengers%20to%20humans%20and%20jinns.jpg

I want to present this outline below for the masses of Muslims that may be viewing this post who believes that the Jinns are invisible spirits, spooks floating in the air. Note that there is not one verse in the Qur'aan that describes the Jinns as a ruwh (spirit) while they are on al ard (the planet earth). Allah has presented an outline in the Qur'aan and He always describes the devils or Jinns as MEN, PEOPLE, HUMAN BEING, TRIBE, CLAN, FAMILY WHO ALSO HAVE A DESCENDANT, BLOODLINE, OFFSPRING, PROGENY but never as a spirit
