I never heard about him. But I am interested to see his work. I usually prefer to do my research by going to the roots. I mean I like reading what traditionalists write. I like to analyze them to form my judgement. I don't depend much on authorities who have my views.

ghulam ahmed pervaiz was one of the first prominent quranist who stand against everybody in the era when secterians were in full control,, he was based in pakistan,, i used to listen him a lot, apart from some things his knowledge was sound base.

i dnt know why he reject the existence of jinn beings.. apart from that his understanding of quran was excellent..

he was the founder of tolue islam and he was one of the companion of allama iqbal and sirsyed ahmed khan who appeared to be first quranist and modernist in the subcontinent , allma iqbal the famous poet try to spread his quran alone message through poetry..

Tolu-e-Islam (English Resurgence of Islam), also known as Bazm-e-Tolu-e-Islam, is an organization which focuses on understanding the Quran via logic, empiricism, and the appropriate application of the rules of Classical Arabic. The words ?Tolu-e-Islam,? meaning ?dawn? or ?resurgence? of Islam, were taken from "Tulu'i Islam", the title of a poem by the philosopher and poet Muhammad Iqbal.

History & Philosophy

The movement was initiated by Muhammad Iqbal, and later spearheaded by Ghulam Ahmed Pervez. In his writings and speeches Ghulam Ahmed Pervez, who succeeded Iqbal as Tolu-e-Islam's lead scholar, has deductively analyzed Quranic verses with little or no emphasis on hadith. He also provided a new commentary on the Quran based on a re-translation of key verses, based on applying proper rules of classical Arabic and its conventions, which have been overlooked by the mainstream sects. As well as releasing a Quranic Dictionary (Lughat-ul-Quran) which translated many of the key words used in the Quran. Ghulam Ahmed Pervez did not reject all hadiths; however, he only accepted hadiths which "are in accordance with the Quran or do not stain the character of the Prophet or his companions". The organization publishes and distributes books, pamphlets, and recordings of Pervez's teachings.

Non-Affiliation

Tolu-e-Islam does not belong to any political party, nor does it belong to any religious group or sect . It is strictly against sectarianism, because such acts of creating sects/divisions in Islam is equal in magnitude to "Shirk" i.e. rejection of Monotheism. Tolu-e-Islam seeks to propagate the Quranic teachings so that the system of ?Khilafat ?Ala Minhaj-e-Risalat? (God's direct rule on Earth, where the Quran is the only source of derivation of law) is once again established.

We have a huge bunch of his followers here in Hyderabad, India.
Unfortunately, they never read or touch alQuraan but they always use only logic without the aayaat.

They discuss and debate in almost every matter, but even if someone tries to show them the clear aayaat on the topic under discussion, they never even care to see it. But try to prove you wrong with their logic.

I am sure that Ghulam Ahmed Parwez did not form tolu-e-islam to educate the members in such ways brickwall

interestingly, 7 years ago i was tlking with one of my very close reletive and i was asking him questions regarding hadith and telling him see what quran is saying its agaisnt the teaching what we have ,,

surprisingly he told me , you are talking the same what pervezi talking.. lol

trust me i was not even aware who pervez was at that time.. i was thinking its ghulam ahmed qadiani..

i confirmed who is this,, then he told me its the person who reject hadith and followers of him are pervezi..

then i start studying about him and i watched his videos i did not find anything wrong in his teaching , his talking style was very impressive and his findings were extraordinary.. the scholars of that time say him kafir rotfl

what we can say , thats your bad luck if someone try to tell the truth community get against them very quickly , so most of the people after knowing the truth cant dare to share their feelings ,, even in this forum we know eachother by names and idz most of the members dnt even write their names in full,, may b they still think if somebody find out it will be a problem,, but we should not be scared apart from God.. but as far i concern whenever i try to explain anybody my frds reletive , they did not accept it even if they accept i feel strange feelings they have towards me, whhich make me feel more bad.. so now a days i ususally avoid discussion with anybody.

the scholars of that time say him kafir

You know why the scholars of that time call him kafir? There are three reasons they gave

1- Parwez watch movies so he is a kafir.
2- Parwez don't have beard so he is a kafir.
3- Parwez's teeth shows up when he smiles so he is kafir rotfl

Believe me these are the 3 reasons they gave rotfl

so now a days i ususally avoid discussion with anybody.

It is always better to avoid these discussions. If anyone comes to your with questions just answer them, finish. No more discussion until they ask further.

Thanks reel. Parwez was a great scholar of Quran and a victim of traditional clergy. He wrote a lot and most of the times his writings make very good sense.

yeh i know some of them, one of my neighbor was pervezi he was retired colonel and used to run a shop after retirement and i dnt know why he shows his views towards me at first instanst i was shocked becoz i used to learn different things from schooling but when i asked from other people they simply dnt have answers and told me not to talk with that perosn so much he will brainwash you... brickwall
then i decided to read translation atleast and when i finish reading translation even it was sunni version lot of things cleared and i got answers of lot of things...

but yeh if u beleive it as a history we need to understand most of the hostory is written by victors on their own commmand and history got lot of errors , history may b right but may be wrong so best to filter things through quran..

i decided not to give them answers as well , what i suggest them to read the transaltion of quran atleast once then we will discuss about anything whatever u guys ask.. otherwise its difficult for me to make you believe whatever u ask, coz simply there are lot of traditions already installed in their mind,,
