Intro, 3 questions, my story!

Peace Everyone,
I've been roaming the website for a few years now actually. I've enjoyed so many topics and views. It has certainly been a blessing. I'm utterly bummed out that there is no mosque available to me that does not compromise the Deen. It's been over 10 years since I've been a part of a religious center and I do miss aspects of it. I desire most of all to be around like minded people who want to make a positive difference in the world. So if you're close to Philadelphia (I'm in Wilmington) I'd love to meet you!
Question- Why are there only like one or two mosque that claim to uphold the Quran only (or perhaps I'm wrong)? How come they aren't springing up all over the country?
The past two months have been challenging for me. I was engaged to marry an amazing Christian woman whom I truly loved. I felt totally secure in the relationship. She posted a detailed, beautiful post about me (us) that brought so many of her family and friends to tears (including my mother). It marked 6 months of being together. She expressed that it was the "most amazing experience of her life". Yet, less than 3 weeks later, she was giving me an ultimatum to, "Fully accept Christ or we can't be together". For the following 5-7 days I did my best to reason with her to no avail. She said that God had called her into His ministry and that I had a choice to make. She apologized for letting the relationship go on as long as it did while knowing in her heart of hearts that our religious difference didn't sit well with her. We prayed together each night (we would alternate who prays), but she never added Christ to the prayer out of respect for my beliefs (I never asked her do that-I simply shared my views with her). Said she had recently asked God for forgiveness for not including Christ in our prayers. Anyway, this is the 2nd thing I'm bummed out about ( Peace/ Love to all

Peace be with you,
It is sad to see the state of this earth, in that 99.9% of masjids are not devoted to God alone. I also feel your frustrations, I long for a place devoted to God alone, to be able to be in the company of the righteous, a place of study, devotion, reflection and prayer. I guess for now i must just be satisfied within myself, and do my best to purify myself so i too can be a devoted place of worship, and free from uncleanliness. Our environment definately plays a big part in how well we work on our Deen, as God encourages believers to unite together, and support each other, that one when one of us falls, another can pick them up, and we can all strive together.
One day, if God has willed, i would like to establish such a place, here in New Zealand, as its a small enough country, it would be easy enough, if god has willed, for devotees to move/travel to. I think it is also relatively tolerant, and i have had little problems from other people, and appreciate being able to uphold my salat while traveling without fear, and without having to be extra cautious. If God has willed,, one day, in the mean time, i have a long way to go myself before i can truely feel that i am content with my state of wellbeing.
In regards to your relationship breakdown, all i can realy say, is you have recieved a blessing.
'Do not marry a polytheist untill they believe' - i am not sure why you would seek to marry a polytheist in the first place?
if God prevented you from that, then you have been blessed.
Peace

Peace Timotheus,
Thank you for your response. New Zealand, wow. God willing, we will have a place to call our very own. In all my years, I have yet to meet another believer as I. Yet, I am hopeful for the future.
She made it very clear that she was a polytheist that final week, not so much before. She followed my lead our prayers were to God alone, the discussions regarding religion were very good. I've written extensive notes on the gospels and compiled verses that support what I believe to be Jesus true teachings. She was receptive (or so I thought). But, the things she shared that final week, there is no chance for us. God willing, I'll be past it soon emotionally.

I understand wanting that community aspect. I do too. I hope participating in this forum can give you some of that.

We're an incredibly small minority. I think that's something to keep in mind. We're spread out all around the world. Most of us don't ever meet another person in real life who believes as we do. We're not at the level of "followers" (to use the term loosely) to establish a large scale and permanent presence in one community, in one location on the globe.
The Muslims who are from practicing families or communities and believe in only the Qur'an won't be outspoken about it. Those who completely rebel against the hadiths will keep their beliefs to themselves, because they know people won't like their views and also that their views can't be changed. I imagine you would have to get close to this person for them to tell you. Similarly, those who are not sure where they stand about the hadiths may easily be swayed back to traditional thinking if they voice their opinions even once. There are no "safe spaces" for people like us to gather and voice our opinions within the Muslim community.
Of course I would love for a physical place and gathering with other like-minded people as well. But I would worry about the harassment, especially the physical kind, if the place of gathering was attracting a lot of visitors (or even only a few). I would hope this wouldn't be the case though.
And this is only what you may face in the west... In the Muslim countries? Forget about it.

I'm very sorry to hear about the end of your engagement.
As much as it hurts now, it sounds like it was for the best. She knew all along that her heart was with Jesus. She knew that this was not your chosen path in life. She probably worried that you weren't going to get saved. Sounds like she was hoping all along, secretly, that you would change. And that's not something you should be hopeful about in a partner.
Sending my love and hugs to you. group It's going to get better, and one day when you're ready, God willing you're going to meet someone whom you can feel compatible with in all the important aspects of life.

Peace Kosq,
Welcome to the forum welcome
My 2 cents on polytheism
According to 2115 the Creator is infinite and the logical conclusion is the whole creation including you, me, everyone is a tiny part of the infinite Creator. Now what is the belief of your ex-fianc??
- Jesus is The God in entirety
- Jesus was part of The God
- Jesus was separate from The God
#2 does not clash with the reality so you might find harmony with that belief.
#1 and #3 are falsehoods and you might have difficulty finding harmony.May the infinite Creator guide us all to the truth.
Peace

Here's a portion of what she shared about meI'm never letting you go because what I've always desired to experience in a relationship, I'm experiencing and it's only the beginning. A man who is committed to God, respectful, honest, faithful, caring, sense of humor, man of his word, dresses nice, committed to the family, patient, a gentleman, a great lover, a man of purpose, a man who can cook, intelligent, very attractive, disciplined, a love for studying and growing, enjoying basic things in life like just riding in silence in the car, willing to travel, and so much more. I can go on and on about how all these qualities are what I've always wanted even when I didn't realize it. Babe, you sum it all up. The way you are sums up what I've always wanted and for that I am grateful because the Father gave me the desire of my heart but I know it's because I first delighted myself in Him that I am able to recognize my heart's desire.
I thank God that I was able demonstrate to her the qualities of a believer. )

In the 6 months we were together, she didn't really express her true beliefs until the breakup. Perhaps she was concerned how I would feel about her and the future of the relationship. Obviously, that concerned subsided. She said I was being stubborn to the truth, and that if I deny him (Jesus), my end wouldn't be good, and......oh yeah, she loved me.

Peace,
I see, well regardless we are only human beings, and things like this hurt, If God has willed, he will heal your heart. And hopefully you can take away some good from it, if nothing else a good knowledge of jesus teachings, something i myself appreciate very much, Alhamdullilah.
May God guide you in your journey, and put you in connection with other trusters, i understand how you feel in that regard as i am also yet to meet in person with other trusters, but i have hope for the future, and if i cant meet some, if god has willed, he will help me to share with others so that they become accepting and at peace with him.
Peace, and our Lords mercy be with you.

Salam Kosq,
Welcome to the forum.
Regarding the mosques/temples; maybe there are too few of us, some fear if opening a local, something will happen to them by the sectarians, and others don't have the fund (e.g. the Gulf and Middle East fund mosques built for sectarians but won't grant for temples dedicated to God alone).
Regarding your relationship, I'm really sorry to hear that. It's hard to find one who has submitted to God alone.
This might be a test for you (regarding the law that we shouldn't marry someone who hasn't submitted to God alone or abandon submission to God alone for her system).
But it's also a blessing; You said she held it all inside etc. So God exposed her.Be patient, perhaps God will guide her, and you will reconcile. Or perhaps God will find you a better one.
2153 O you who believe, seek help through patience and through the contact prayer, God is with the patient ones.
Salam

I am in CA. I do not mind not having any Quran only mosque. But then again, if one is built, it may become the target of Islamophobes, I mean sectarians who have problem with our view. I am rather interested in having some kind of a Quran only organization through which we can take care of different communities and promote progress for the entire world.

I am sorry to hear about what she did. Wasn't the engagement a little too quick?
I know it will hurt you for awhile, but it will pass. No two days will ever remain similar. I would still say that the quick breakup saved you from future pain.

Where I am located, there are 5 Muslim communities within 15 miles of one another. They're pretty conservative around here. I think it's a great location for a study group to turn into something more profound.

I didn't think so. I've known her for about 10 years. I knew her family, she knew mine. I thought we were laying a solid foundation. I'm not the type to do things in haste. I mean, we were talking about the importance of marriage very early on (and we didn't believe in the boyfriend/ girlfriend relationships). There was no idleness in our interaction. Anyway, I don't know, ya know?
Thank you much Reel

I personally would advise to be in a romantic relationship for at least a solid year before marrying someone. You can be looking at a completely different person viewing them as a friend vs. viewing them as a long-term romantic partner.
A year establishes a good amount of time to learn and develop as a couple. If you can wait until the 2 to 3 year mark, that's even better. The infatuation period can last up to or even a little longer than 2 years. On top of that, studies show that couples who have waited a year or longer before engagement decrease their chances for divorce by 20 to 39%.

The intention was marriage but we were not getting married yet. I think all the physical stuff (premartial sex, ect) that couples get into during the dating and courting process is what interferes with truly getting to know one another and properly gauging the compatibility. Proper courtship shouldn't take years, but shouldn't be a sprint either.

Ah, okay. That makes better sense now. )
I would disagree with your opinion on more physical relationships, but only because I think it depends on the couple themselves, the situation, and of course - how you define marriage.
With so much access to the Internet, so many people are now meeting online. Not even through entirely through dating websites anymore - but through simple social media. People are connecting and learning more about one another more than ever before. But of course, in these types of relationship there is no physical interaction involved, at least not at first. Naturally though, these relationships don't always work out, and need to be built on a good foundation of trust and honesty. If the foundation is there, then the couple can get to know each other really well.
Aside from that, any couple that is sincerely intent on maintaining their purity shall maintain it, I'm sure. Those who don't care, can be with those who don't care. )
About courtship length... I am fine with waiting a few years myself (to get legally married). I don't want to wait forever though. Eventually I feel that most people want some kind of serious sign of commitment after a few years. Some couples who wait too long to marry (>8 years) seem to have marital trouble.

lol, if you don't think like them it is unlikely for them to get your view.

I am sorry to hear that. The best you can do is to close your door on her. This, for some reason, works in majority of the cases.

God bless youDid you read Al Qaida's A Course in the Art of Recruiting? The brainwashing tactic, they use seems to be heavily focused on talks about heaven and hell. You can take a look at it here http//www.onemagazine.es/pdf/al-qaeda-manual.pdf Note that the entire manual is a "brainwasher" targeted even at the recruiter. It is an eyeopener. I haven't found a single page in which the writer tells the recruiter and his target to refer to Quran. The brainwashing is heavily dependent on "lectures" of the mullahs.
