    Assalam ulakum,

So for the sensationalist title, but I wanted to asked whether Allah upholds his promise to preserve the Quran and protect it from corruption.

Manuscripts like the Sanaa folios suggest otherwise, even though most of the difference can be noted to scribal errors. As noted in the following papers.

    https//www.scribd.com/doc/110978941/Sanaa-1-and-the-Origins-of-the-Qur-An

    https//www.scribd.com/doc/130854520/The-codex-of-a-companion-of-the-Prophet-SAW-Benham-Sadeghi-Bergmann

While other variations are noted as being slight differences created due to transmission of Quran in semi oral form. Which can bring about small changes in the meaning of certain verses. Though the author noted that again the variations are only a small fraction and most of them being grammar, spelling etc.

So my question is related to what Allah means when he will preserve the Quran. Does it mean every letter is the way it was revealed to the Prophet. Or that in essence the basic message will be preserve. Which can be noted due to the low number of errors in many manuscripts.

Reading some opinions on previous threads and the whichquran article. Some are of the opinion that the Quran hasn't been preserved. If so, then doesn't that invalidate Allah's promise. Also Allah challenges everyone to bring something like it. So if some people say that this verse has been added or what not. Isn't that challenge broken then.

Finally I apologies if this question seems trivial. I just want to learn about my deen.

      Salaam/Peace Morpherious,

Yes, I strongly believe our Lord AL-LAH has absolutely uphold HIS Promise,
      and thus granted unto all Humanity QURAN TESTAMENT in this Final Age here now;

all Chapters and Verses and Words and Letters
have most Superbly and perfectly been Designed and Protected in it,
      from the very Beginning (=QURAN TESTAMENT 72/28 = 78/29)!

So the Challenge is still absolutely here

No one in the Universe/s or on the Earth --even if they fervently work on it Individually or as/in a group all Together--
can/will Never bring the like of it (=17/8.

If anyone take the Challenge and claim that they can do that,
let them do that and we'll start to compare it here,
and let all Humanity be witness over it

Perfectly "114" Chapters & "6346" Verses in total in QURAN TESTAMENT =78/29 (1)

      http//www.19covenant19.com/mucize_detay_idf043.html

      Precisely "112" + "2" Basmalahs in/of QURAN TESTAMENT =7829 (1)

      Remain in peace/salaam.

        Peace morpherious,

I wanted to asked whether Allah upholds his promise to preserve the Quran and protect it from corruption.

In my understanding, the signs 159, 4142, 482, 223, 1038, 1113, 1788, 5677-78, all of them refer to the original text of the quran sent down to the messenger prophet, and to the quran preserved in "lawh mahfouz" (8521-22) and not to the current text of the quran.

They can also be interpreted to mean that if someone tries to tamper with the original text of the quran, the tampering will stand out like a sore thumb and will be recognized easily, and that is how the book is protected.

If someone disagrees, then please bring forth evidence that these signs refer to the current text of the quran.

My premise is "the quoted signs do not refer to the current text of the quran".

If the premise is "the quoted signs refer to the current text of the quran" then burden of proof will be on the one making the positive claim. Just giving reference of those signs is not proof but a logical fallacy of circular reasoning or begging the question.

        http//www.logicalfallacies.info/presumption/begging-the-question/

To assume from phrases like "what we have sent down" or "our clear revelations" or "the Quran" or "a Quran like this" that these phrases refer to the current text of the quran would be a logical fallacy, unless the original text of the quran can be shown to be identical to the current text.

If the original text of the quran has same signs (quoted above) making those claims, then the only way to resolve/prevent the logical fallacy of circular reasoning would be to guarantee that original text of the quran also survives so it can be compared to the current text (obviously God knows this). This is why I am confident that the original text of the quran is still preserved somewhere on Earth and will be discovered one day (if not already discovered and being hidden by the "authorities&quot, and that will be solid proof that those signs refer to the original text of the quran. Either that or God will make sure another message of truth is sent down confirming the current text of the quran (4153).

Lot of quran readers forget about the promise in 4153.

4153 We will show them our signs in the horizons, and within themselves, until it becomes clear to them that this is the truth..........................

This is not entirely true. The lower deleted text also shows significant diversions from the current text. Please read the following post in detail, in which an example of a significant diversion is also given, which changes the meaning drastically.

Additionally, only 40 folios were allowed to be studied out of almost 15,000 manuscripts from 900 different Qurans, and once these findings came to light, the Yemeni authorities placed the thousands of manuscripts under lock and key and are not allowing any further study. What are they trying to hide if the diversions were only "slight"?

        http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9608711.msg392150#msg392150

The original text of the quran could be one of those hidden Qurans!

        Peace

They can also be interpreted to mean that if someone tries to tamper with the original text of the quran, the tampering will stand out like a sore thumb and will be recognized easily, and that is how the book is protected.

This is why I am confident that the original text of the quran is still preserved somewhere on Earth and will be discovered one day (if not already discovered and being hidden by the "authorities&quot,

I don't think that the Quran (or any other writings or books) is being protected or had sufficient protection against any tampering regarding the writings inside. Due to the context of how it was being written, rewritten etc.

Only few decades ago, there's a 'revelation' on how to do it, digitally...
          https//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Authenticated_encryption

And now it's commonly implemented on the internet..

Searching for 'original quran' (or original gospel, torah, gita etc..) will be in vain either, IMHO.. as there's no definitive mechanism to decide which one is the original. UNLESS.. the author is still alive and can verify the originality of his / her own works..

The 'notion' / 'assumption' should be changed that instead of
          "The writings are being protected"
          into
          "The messages are being protected"

Truth doesn't need any protection, it just need to be told..
There will be evidence coming from multiple sources that shall appeared to support the truthful message.
And the truthful messages itself shall appeared from multiple sources throughout different times.. each supporting each others.. like a well networked web..

Injection of the false message (not the writings) in the Quran (or Bible or Tanakh or Tao The Ching or Gita etc..) shall be exposed and recognized easily. As the evidence will not support such false message, instead it will expose its untruthful condition.

For example Earth is flat, God sitting on throne in heaven, It takes time for something to reach God, God as a being who eats food from the offerings, who did wrestling match with human, Star as merely a static ornament in the sky, universe creation in 7 days, God resting on the 7th day, Israel as chosen people above other people.. etc.. etc.. etc..

The mechanism is described in the Gospel by Jesus as new wine in the new wine skin parable
"no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. Instead, new wine is poured into new wineskins.?
          -- Mark 223

The supply of a good wine hasn't ended.. and new good wine shall be put into a new wineskin.
The message of revelation hasn't ended and the revealing message shall be conveyed in more suitable manner and form which shall fits the context of time and place.

            Peace All.
            Qoran says
            254
Those who disbelieved said, "This is a fabrication that he produced, with the help of some other people." They have uttered a blasphemy and a falsehood.

            255
They also said, "Tales from the past that he wrote down; they were dictated to him day and night."

            256
Say, "This was revealed by the One who knows the Secret* in the heavens and the earth. He is Forgiving, Most Merciful."

That secret has now been revealed!!!!

Yes we can know for certain?

Where is the copy that GOD sent down?

Can we verify its content today? how?

I believe GOD has locked His words Mathematically using "interlock". Qoran is Mathematically composed.

With mankind having a verifiable proof, that the Qoran, is the unaltered word of God, we have entered a new era in religion. Verse 1736 quoted above mandates, that we use our hearing , eyesight and brain to verify all information, including the Mathematical composition (Miracle) of the Qoran by ourselves.

This new era also mandates that we seek proof for any religious law or practice dictated upon us.
What makes Islam so easy, is the proof, we now have, that the Qoran is the unaltered and complete word of God. GOD says He did not leave anything out of this book!!!!!
We no longer need history or hadith or ... to check if Qoran is the word of GOD, Mathematics is the tool that provides the evidence for us at this time of "advanced Science".
            GOD bless.
            Peace

some believe it is protected by math, some beleive it is protected by challange, some beleive its is protected by sciencetific facts... some beleive it is protected by error free literature,, and some beleive its protected by predictions and future events...accuracy..

moreover the early people amazed the way it was written whether its poetry or prose so these ancient people beleive it was protected by language...

but what i beleive these all things are under protection of quran, all things are not far advance to verify quran..they get verified by quran.. infact not quran the author of quran(God) lord of universe message must be different from the book written by any one on face of earth...

future generations will have more things to discover they will also have a share in it thats what i beleive.. ..

peace.. i still dnt understand why people not read quran with care.. if it is from other than God they will find many contradictions in it..

even this word many contradiction (akhtilafan kaseera) used once the excellency of text is if this used somewhere else there will b two ikhtilafs by words .. height of beauty and excellence..

one more example , we did not create two hearts in any men, the topic of multiple marriage God choose words very accurately.. why not God use also women,,, becoz God knows when women is pregnat there are two hearts beating inside the body height of awareness

in my honest research of 16 years i m fail to find a single error in this excellent book , and i firmly believe its from the lord of universe... without any doubt

                God bless you all

Albeit preserve is not the same as people having the ability to interpret what they are reading.
