You should stop desire her. Desiring her is an instinct. She is beautiful to you so that you should ignite your pitiful lowly lust. And you should realize that these feelings are enslaving. But as long as you do not realize the instinctive drive is what actually is Satan you will only do like you did in your post and laugh at my argument.

You have not understood that worldliness is not to be desired? Even the sectarian interpretation of Quran conveys that oddly enough. The sectarian interpretation says "lower your gazes", what does that mean to you, Imran?

I would urge you to stop laughing at what I am saying and instead begin to realize that there is a point in the reasoning. But obviously I cannot force you nor will I try, but you contradict even an established religious interpretation.

        Be well

brother i m not desiring her.. i was just asking the soultion what should we do, we are totally in the atmosphere where we encounter girls and boys in our daily life, and desiring somebody is in the functions of body...

what if you feel hungey would you desire for chicken is it bad... ?

about the interpretation i wonder you gave that reference , is it not methphorical as well... lower your gaze mean stay away from illegal sexual intercourse... is it illogical if you say everytime we lower our gaze?.. where you really need to ponder about methaphorical things you did not, and where the apparent meaning is there you claim its methphorical... anyway.. lower ur gaze is a nice manner , same eating with spoon is a nice manner... if you eat with hand you did not commit sin... same if you look at opposite sex it does not consider as sin untill you both appraoch eachother by private parts... thats what the real logic tell us...

        peace

            Salam,

The moment I step out the door I see women dressing very tight clothes, revealing too much, and their cleavages are too apparent. God has already said we should lower our gaze. I myself have decided that I should lower my gaze when I go out because if I don't, it will lead to that instinct thing Man of Faith mentions, which requires huge self-control...

Regarding the verse about what Jesus said, I haven't read the Bible, but from the sound of it; do not seduce and invite. Looking lustfully at someone is seductive and inviting...
We get the lesson from Joseph's story in Quran, when woman seduces him and he says to God something about better being in prison than being seduced (I think). Someone with more knowledge? Can't look up Quran right now.

            Salam

1233 He said ?My Lord, prison is better to me than what they are inviting me to do. And if You do not turn their plans away from me, I will fall for them and be of the ignorant."

                Peace to everyone

                Brothers/Sisters

If even looking at the opposite sex is a sin, Then how Im gonna meet my wife ?

To my knowledge Jesus used to say to his apostles, that they should not look at the other women, because it can lead to sexual thoughts. Which is as if they had sexual contact with those women mentally.

But how can I even meet someone special? If even looking is a sin. How Im gonna choose my other half ?

                Peace

May the Peace be with you,

Here is your answer, from Scripture

                Gospel - Matthew 528
But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

LUSTFULLY, anyone who looks at a woman LUSTFULLY.

So what can we learn from this verse? Do not look lustfully to woman.

Torah - Leviticus 1822 ??Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable.

To be honest I disagree with Mr Jesus (or was it Mr. Matthew?), well whomever..

Mr. Lust is not all "bad"...

Mr. Lust is being governed by the most primitive and the most highly prioritized part of human brain, which responsible to survivability, dubbed the "reptilian brain". No no it's a far cry for 'conspiracy theorist' lingo of 'reptilian alien' creeping inside our society... it's a brain which all mammals share with the reptiles, hence the name. The "Lust functioned" didn't kicked off since birth though...

Just like Mr. Lust, Mr. Hungry, Miss Thirsty and Mr. Fear was also governed by the same reptilian part of modern human brain. None of them are 'bad' actually, the human just need to learn how to control it properly.

Many thanks to Mr. Lust, there are 7 billions human now walking their two legs on earth.
Kudos as well to Mr. Hungry, Miss Thirsty and Mr. Fear.

Specifically to Mr. Lust, he's also responsible to spark other positive things in human... Among those are

                        1. Creativity in male
                        2. Empathy (Yes.. empathy) in female

The experiment that describe it all..

So.. don't feel bad when Mr. Lust came to visit.. you just need to know how to treat him properly, and let him help to spark positive things in you...

And oh.. most important... don't blame or curse over the object which inspired and triggered Mr. Lust visit...

                            Peace everyone,

if i recall correctly the quran says

say to the trusters humble of their gazes and gaurd their gap.

                            lets explain this

say to this is pretty obvious, its a command tospeak, an imperative command, in the 2nd person i.e 'you, say this;'

the trusters (al-muminin) this means trusters, all of us not just men, yes its masculine form, but it also is used when refering to both men and women, and nothing in the context implies its exclusively to men,

they humble this is a imperfect verb, and comes from the root meaning things like 'tender, young, modest, check, humble' (Gaiyn-Dhad-Dhad). i.e humble, not cast down, or lower, or look at the ground!

of (min) preposition, of/from/part of/comming from/pertaining to (comes from m(water)-n(snake/eel/seed))

their gazes (their seeings/visions/etc) i.e whatever they are looking at, or can look at.

and (wa) wa is a peg/nail/stake hence it connects or ties things together

they gaurd hafedh (h-f-thaw) means to gaurd/protect, imperfect

their gap f-r-j means a hole/gap, and is used to mean what is between the legs, i.e the genitalia

                            pretty simple realy it means

not to stare at people (anyone) because that is not humility, and it can be intimidating. and can lead to hostility, or fear.
not to look/stare at things you shouldnt (yeah you know what they are)
to gaurd your genitalia (pretty simple, if you have a conciousness of what is right and wrong, and you have knowledge of Gods boundaries (we should))

it is not a sin to look at, or talk to women/men, or any other creature, what nonsense, it is also not a sin to sit with a women without anyone holding her hand, as long as you maintain righteousness, which you should

peace be with all of you

I must beg to differ. The instinct is nothing good for a person who likes to excel. You must also differentiate between spiritual drive and instinctive drive. Mr. Jesus spoke of lusts driven by the bodily instinct and especially those that are clearly negative and detrimental to spiritual development such as greed, materialism, jealousy and egoism. But for a person who does not seek to remain trapped in one of these bodies forever it also takes controlling/suppressing instinctive impulses such as the sex drive. Basically one has to "separate the spirit from the flesh".

The human body (Homo sapiens) was made as a corrupting contradiction in this world and not your true identity.

But creativity is of the spirit but the expression is marked by the level of instinctive influence, e.g. what an artist paints is tainted by his human body's thinking.

                              Be well
