Gabriel is a positive 6th dimensional extraterrestrial alien being (spirit) who channeled the message to Muhammad. He was not of Earth therefore "extraterrestrial and alien". Any human being can channel any positive higher dimensional extraterrestrial beings (malaika, spirit etc. usually Pleiadians or Lyrans) through meditation and channeling. Some of the Pleiadians and Lyrans were promoted to be controllers or malaika by the infinite Creator.
You have to be extremely careful though because as soon as you open yourself up during meditation and channeling, 99% of the time you will invariably be approached by negative higher dimensional extraterrestrial beings (like the Orion or Sirian beings) who will be very deceptive and pretend they are positive beings and will channel messages of truth mixed with falsehood based on fear to deceive you and to control, manipulate and enslave you and violate your free will.
They will also try to attack you during a positive channeling from a positive higher dimensional being, because they do not like humans receiving messages of pure truth. The more spiritually advanced you are the more powerful the negative attack, and sometimes it can lead to death, unless you know how to protect yourself.

Please be careful. It would be preferable if you have an advanced spiritual teacher next to you while channeling, in case the negative beings try to attack.
For meditation you can google ways of transcendental meditation or perform salat the quranic way and then blank your mind and imagine and focus on pure light and then ask to speak with your higher self or Gabriel or the infinite Creator. Be careful once again of the negative entitities who will pretend to be Gabriel or God and deceptively approach you.

We can talk to God through prayers. God listens to us all the time.
We can't talk to Angels.
Angels don't hang around the block, they ascend and descend from and to the Heavens by the willing of God for a purpose. (Quran based)
Angels and the Heavens are beyond our dimensions..for them to show up in our dimension our sky (which is the lowest heaven) will have to crack open. (Quran based)

I believe all of us can do this; it may just take longer for some. We are all spiritual beings in a temporary physical illusion and we can spiritually move into higher dimensions to meet higher dimensional spiritual beings. Learning to contact other higher dimensional spiritual beings in this temporary illusion is like learning to swim or ride a bicycle. If you keep trying and are persistent and patient, you should be able to do it eventually. The only problem is many give up before anything starts to happen.
The spiritual beings (especially the positive ones) do not contact us unless we are open to their contact and choose to be contacted because they respect the law of free will and will never contact you unless you are receptive and give your permission. So unless you try, it's not going to happen. Thousands of people around the world routinely contact and talk to positive spiritual beings. But if you stubbornly believe that it cannot happen, then it will not happen.
A suggested method of visualization during meditation to meet a spiritual being of your choosing is as follows. This can be done immediately after salat. If this doesn't resonate with you then please feel free to discard it
Relax and find a comfortable position. Take several deep breaths. It would be best to close your eyes so you can concentrate without distraction.

To the the guy who kept sending those "how to contact an Angel" ...
When people used to ask the messengers on why isn't there Angels with them to spread the Word of God (so that they might believe in the messenger) or when they used to ask to see the Angels as a sign, and God clearly stated in the Quran that if we'd be able to see the Angels, then the matter would have been settled.
Furthermore, the only time you'll get to see them is at the End of time and right before you die (if you were to go to Heaven, and if you die before the end of time) where they will be telling you to rest assured and giving you the news about where you're going (basically, your death might be the happiest moment of your life)
Furthermore 2, how is it fair for someone to be able to see the Angels while others can't ? God is fair, unless you are gonna deliver God's message, or have a great impact that God himself would want to send the Angels to meet you..I don't that would happen by you breathing slowly and doing some weird movements whatever man.
All this to say, that if you think you're seeing the Angels...I think you are hallucinating.

angels are serving God like humans but on advance level...
if one really desire to talk its God we should talk...
he listen the call of every caller.. but there is a time of everything.. according to the laws of God..
let say i wish from God to give me a tree of apples.. for this i have to do my home work.. seeding, watering etc.. and i must patient for the result of God... it definately take a time to give you fruit you must have to understand it.. instead of arguing from God to make it grow in one day...thats why patience is the key of success.. we sometimes couldnot grasp the meanings of patience when reuslts will come the more broader picture you will see... there are two outcomes.. either you will get a fruit or you will not get a fruit... again if you did not get a fruit ,, there are reasons u did not get a fruit becoz that fruit will possibly harm you more than good..

You can think of communication with Gabriel, he is around, but because this life is a test he might not reply if your realization and faith is weak. We are broken off from our origin, so we have to function like disconnected platforms using the best of our superior spirit. However, there is a "door" open to insight into the other place for people who nurture their spirit. These people are usually called prophets who have that ability. It is an ability that can be developed by "separating the spirit from the flesh". But it will not come to a person absorbed by Satan and this world.
