I'm told i was born in Holland... but i spent 9 years growing up in California before my parents decided to head back here.
So besides growing up with 2 languages i should add that i grew up basically without religion (except for the Baptist neighbors who gave me a Bible).

I have done my best to figure religion out and i'm 51 years old so i've had a few years to try.
I understand now that a TRUE Christian, just like a TRUE Jew, is Muslim according to the Qur'an. Well, since i do not resist evil, covet truth as a way of life and seek to be peaceful as a dove but wise as a serpent, i figure i'm a TRUE Christian.

In 2007 i 'married' a Moroccan woman and we have a son together . She's mushrik but i only learned about such distinctions last year.
Last year i spent 2 months in Morocco but mushrik culture irritated me to no end, especially since it was Ramadan and it clearly keeps their hearts and minds quite busy.

Now my 'wife' has bought an appartment in Tetouan. I hope to head there January 2017 at the latest to start building a life in a decent climate, for myself and my son.
But, again, i'll be all alone there, surrounded by mushrik Moroccans... I would like to come into contact with Moroccan 'quranists' who mihgt support me in my endeavours, particularly since i speak neither Moroccan Arabic nor French (fluently).

The question is is a TRUE Christian welcome here?

What i've studied of the Qur'an tells me i am one of the Kitabi and as a true believer, scholar and disciple of the Prophet Isa/Jesus i am (by definition) Muslim.
However, i just emailed someone calling himself "quaranist" and was attacked and quizzed just like mushrik Moroccans have been doing (both in the Netherlands and in Morocco); asking me if i do salat and the like.

I know the Hadithi think 'christians' are their enemies and i realize Moroccans/Arabs/Immazighen can be rascist (just like people all over the world are), so can i expect anything different here?

Frankly, i'm not too interested in more opinions people have on religion. I've paid my dues and studied the Bible far better than most. It taught me many things, one of the most important being that 99% of people calling themselves "christian" are just about the opposite of what a Christian might be expected to be.
Now it seems Muslims, and perhaps quoranists too , demand that i spend ANOTHER bunch of years studying scripture before they'll even talk to me.
However, it is my experience that even then they'll probably still hate me because i'm caucasian and Christian...

So, are people here like "Welcome all People of the Book!" or is it more like "Christians are Muslim-wannabes who need to get with the programme!"

        Peace Socrates.

"Muslim" to GOD has nothing to do with man made religions. One can be a "Muslim Hindu" or a "Muslim Jew" Or a "Muslim Christian" Or a "Muslim Muslim" or a "Muslim Any religion" . There is only one kind of "Islam"
        http//www.total-loyalty-to-god-alone.co.uk/simple-and-universal-message/

Qoran/Bible/Any scripture warns against peer and social pressure and sets for many educational standards to assist in making choices. God has specifically commanded to use the brains and to verify all presented information about everything in our life (1736).

God has warned that each soul is held accountable for its own choices and that no soul will bear responsibility for another (6164).
He has informed us that we return to Him as individuals irrespective of our affiliation with a majority or a minority on this earth (1995, 694, 184.

Yet, we regress, intimidated and pressured to choose the easy path and go with the flow.

.If we choose GOD then we must go through the ?trial phase? here is what Qoran says

Proclaim ?If your parents, your children, your siblings, your spouses, your family, the money you have earned, a business you worry about, and the homes you cherish are more beloved to you than God and His messenger, and the striving in His cause, then just wait until God brings His judgement.? ?

Perhaps you are aware/or not aware that every single human has made a ?covenant ? with GOD, prior to living this life?

I believe the purpose of this life is to fulfil that ?contract/covenant? and not break that covenant with GOD!

A true believer in God is constantly conscious about the covenant made with God to love Him the most, serve/worship Him alone, and devote all his/her service/worship, life and death to Him alone.

A true believer in God fully understands that he/she is bound by that covenant or ?contract?. He/she fulfils that covenant in absolute submission, truthfulness and diligence and in total adoration for God and dedication for serving Him alone, under all circumstances.

The self determination and firmness in carrying out all of God?s commands ( leading a righteous life, believing in GOD no matter what religion you are), and abiding by all the ?terms? of that ?contract?/covenant with God are all that defines a faithful , sincere and certain believer.

GOD will hold every individual accountable to the covenant. We will remember on the day of judgement. GOD has reminded us in His message (Other scriptures/ Old testament/New testament/ Qoran) and has detailed for us what we need to do.

Hope you try hard to follow GOD s message. That is the most important and serious task required from us in this life.

        Follow your natural instinct!
        GOD bless you.
        Peace.

I could be regarded as closer to the Messiah's teachings than the typical Quranic one (note that I mean the common interpretation of it).

                Thanks, guys/gals!

I think the forum's pretty impressive so far and i say that as someone who's been active on fora since the 20th century.
Perhaps this is what Jesus meant when he said first look to your spiritual matters and the rest will follow and be in order.

I have not come to chat, however. I come looking for like-minded, like-hearted folk who might be interested in sharing good work with me.
I see it like this my mother would speak of things like life-after-death and contact with the dead and visit this woman who seemed to be able to sense subtle things and give people metaphysical advice. But it seemed my mother was really just going on and on trying to convince HERSELF that these things were real. Me, i looked into, concluded they were real enough and then went on to other aspects of spiritual and every day life; she never got beyond the stage of looking into it.
What i'm saying is that you can spend your whole life TALKING about what you should do or change or accomplish but after an appropriate amound of time and research and consideration one should get to the point of action or one would be better off dropping the matter altogether. Frankly, to me, if you never get to a point of action, i find that kinda pathetic...

I may be new here but i'm not new in the kind of things discussed here in general. I also have research to offer anyone interested. One route to accessing part of the years of research i offer online to all is through my TEOMCROTE website.

                Shalom, brothers

Anyone are welcomed here, we (or at least I) respect the rights of others to believe in anything that they want...

I'm intrigued by your terminology of "True Christian", what do you mean by it?
                    Is it
"Let Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven". ?

So, are people here like "Welcome all People of the Book!" or is it more like "Christians are Muslim-wannabes who need to get with the programme!"

I personally think It's more of Muslims are Christian 2.0 and / or Judaism 3.0..

                    welcome

                      Thanks.

The Qur'an clearly mentions how MOST people involved with the teachings of Jesus Christ have perverted or ignored the statutes of Christ's teaching. Together with Jews doing the same in regard to the Torah, this is an argument for the establishment of Islam as 'new' religion at the time (according to the Qur'an itself, or what i understand/have read of it).
Now if Christians had remained true to Christ's teaching and if the Jews had honored the Torah as God intended, there would never have been a need to establish a new book and a new religion.

Having said all that, the Qur'an, too, is clear that NOT ALL christians and Jews subverted christianity and the Torah. I would call such people TRUE Christians or TRUE Jews.
I would then call consistent quaranists TRUE Muslims.

Of course in the end it's all semantics and rather overkill; if you're a Christian, Jew or Muslim, you are; if you're not, you're Mushrik, Munafiq or Kafir. Therefore, i could refer to myself as "non-mushrik Christian Muslim"... It gets to be quite a mouthful.
In the end i am all 3 Christian, Muslim and Jew; I am Christian because i strive to live according to Christ's teachings (and for the most part do, and repent when i don't), i'm Muslim because the Qur'an says that a TRUE Christian is also Muslim, and i'm Jew because they were originally a people having blood type B, which i am. And if you know about blood type, you know that there's a personality/psychological factor there that is quite relevant.

Peace, shalom, live long and prosper

islam is an attitude, totally different than Islam (The Religion).
It has no correlation with Bible, Quran, Torah or holy books or holy sites or holy ritual or identity.

"Let your Kingdom come, let your will be done also in the earth, just as it is in Heaven"
"Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not as I will, but let yours be done."

Do the above and you will have the attitude of islam, as thus a muslim.
Hence on whatever name or identity that you call yourselves (and many other things) doesn't matter..

Having said that, the above statement is easier said than done..

                          No!

Q6114 - O you who have believed, be supporters of ALLAH, as when Esa, the son of Mary, said to the disciples, "Who are my supporters for ALLAH?" The disciples said, "We are supporters of ALLAH." And a faction of the Children of Israel believed and a faction disbelieved. So We supported those who believed against their enemy, and they became dominant.

Just to correct you from the above Quranic perspective, christians are considered atheist - not a believer of the ONE GOD CONCEPT. the children of Israel, break away into two factions, one believe in the Prophethood of Esa and the other one disbelieve. Further to substantiate my claims as per Q05116

And when ALLAH said, "O Esa, Son of Maryam, did you said to mankind, 'Take me and my mother as deities from besides ALLAH?'" He said, "Exalted are You! Not is for me that i say what I have no right. If I had said it, surely YOU would have known it. YOU know what is within myself, and I do not know what is within YOURSELF. Indeed, YOU, YOU Knower of the unseen.

The disbeliever among the children of Israel, were those who follow the Q;0572 - Monophysites Concept

Certainly disbelieved those who said, "Indeed Allah, He is the Messiah, the son of Mary" and Messiah said, "O Children of Israel, worship ALLAH, my Lord and your Lord." Indeed, he who associates partners with ALLAH ? than surely forbidden ALLAH for him Paradise, and his refuge the Fire. And not for the wrongdoers any helpers.

Q0573 - Trinitrian Concept, were practiced by many cultures among mankind before the existance of Esa. The Persian - Mithra, Indians - Khrishna, Egyption - Horus

Certainly disbelieved those who said, "ALLAH third of three." And there is no god except one God. And if they do not desist from what they are saying, there will surely afflict the disbelievers among them a painful punishment.

So it is explicit that those who follow the above two concepts are considered disbeliever of the ONE GOD CONCEPT. The Quran also recorded in 0930 that the Jews and Nasara imitate those atheist - disbeliever of the ONE GOD CONCEPT

And said the Jews, "Ezra is the son of ALLAH"; and said the Nasara, "The Messiah is the son of ALLAH." That is their statement from their mouths; THEY IMITATE THE SAYING OF THOSE WHO DISBELIEVE FROM BEFORE. May ALLAH destroy them; how are they deluded?

The above verse 0930 proves that the Nasara were never the follower of Monophysites or Trinitrians. They were true believer of the ONE GOD CONCEPT! As such, Nasara were never christians.

                          peace

                            Dear Hizbullah,

I think you misunderstand what a Christian is (by my logical definition based on scripture...)
If you're talking trinity, you're talking Paul, not Christ/Jesus/Esa.
Paul said Jesus was the Son of God; Jesus called himself "son of man", something else entirely.

How would you define a Christian? Cause the only definition that matters is the one offered by Christ himself. You see it...? "Christ" - "Christ"ian...

So, what are we talking about? What are YOU talking about? Your post suggests your talking about mainstream MUSHRIK christians. That's not what i am talking about at all. After all, do you think of Mushrik 'muslims' in regard to yourself...?

sorry, brother, but it is you who misunderstand. Your so called logical definition is not valid. The Quran is explicit on these matters.

How would you define a Christian? Cause the only definition that matters is the one offered by Christ himself. You see it...? "Christ" - "Christ"ian...

Wrong again, the definition of christians as per the Quran 0572 and 73. Nasara are not considered christians. I have already explain above. Did you read?

So, what are we talking about? What are YOU talking about? Your post suggests your talking about mainstream MUSHRIK christians. That's not what i am talking about at all. After all, do you think of Mushrik 'muslims' in regard to yourself...?

The Quran does not regards christians as the followers of Esa. Christians, sunni, shiite, wahabi are all MUSHRIK...they have indulge themselves with those who they follow - Q3902-03

Indeed, We have brought down to you the book truthfully, so worship ALLAH devoting the religion purely to HIM.

Unquestionably, for ALLAH is the pure religion. And those who take protectors besides HIM , "We only worship them that they may bring us nearer to ALLAH in position." Indeed, ALLAH will judge between them concerning that over which they differ. Indeed, ALLAH does not guide he who is a liar and disbeliever.

These people who indulge themselves with those who they idolises are LIARS AND DISBELIEVERS. As for YOU, YOU are not in these categorise of people, so i say you are UNITARIAN. You believe in the ONE GOD CONCEPT and YOU believe that Esa was only Prophet. Right or wrong?

                                Dear Hizbullah,

I think you misunderstand what a Christian is (by my logical definition based on scripture...)
If you're talking trinity, you're talking Paul, not Christ/Jesus/Esa.
Paul said Jesus was the Son of God; Jesus called himself "son of man", something else entirely.

Jesus said he had God's traits and in that is what is regarded as "God's son", he told that everyone who did like him would be with the traits of God. He made no separation of God but considered God as symbiotic and said "I am in the Abbu and the Abbu is in me". So the word "son" in Semitic languages does not only mean a sterile term for biological son but it is linguistically when you share someone's traits. The same is for father, abbu, it does not imply biological/physical fertilization. What the Jews deemed blasphemous was that he associated himself with God. It was probably the same clerical mind that invented the sect Islam, in response to the growing "heresy".

Instead of listening too much to deluded clerics it is good to actually analyze what Jesus said with own due contemplation. Then they understand that each one who ascends is like the drop in an ocean which is God. Jesus said "The Abbu is greater than I", i.e. he meant the Abbu encompasses more than I do. He said that he is just one part and there is more to it, but he also says frequently because HE IS (I AM) he is in association with God and this annoyed the clergy very much in his time. The same argument annoys Muslims today 2016 from the sect Islam too, "for no one can have association with God" they think.

                                Be well
                                Amenuel

I'm still not seeing clear quotes against Christians. If Esa is prophet then those who abide by his teachings are Muslim.

In the Qur'an the people who denounce prophets and scripture are referred to as Mushrik, be they christians, Jews or people calling themselves muslim.
The Mushrik, however, commonly point toward Hadith that suggest ALL Christians and Jews are the enemy of Islam.

So if you have a clear argument against Christians , you should be able to easily cough up quotes against them since it is no small matter; Muhammed clearly speaks of 'the people of the book' or the Kitabi so if you are speaking out against Kitabi you must have very clear arguments for this.

Your references so far have been quite vague, unstructured and do not relate to the Qur'an's respect to Kitabi. I will understand if you cannot offer such quotes. I myself learned that i am Muslim when a Mushrikah told me to read Qur'an; it was HER intent that such reading teach me that i understand that as Christian i need to convert to Islam. However, everything i read proved the OPPOSITE of her opinions. When i kept asking, FINALLY she admitted that her opinions weren't based on Quranic scripture at all but had to do with Hadith. So then she's like "You should study Hadith" , which is ironic since the very first link she sent me concerning people converting to Islam was all like 'ALL you have to do to become Muslim is choose to worship the one god, live in peace with the world, etc.etc.'

                                      Correct

In the Qur'an the people who denounce prophets and scripture are referred to as Mushrik, be they christians, Jews or people calling themselves muslim.

those who denounce the Prophets and Scripture are considered KAFIR!

The Mushrik, however, commonly point toward Hadith that suggest ALL Christians and Jews are the enemy of Islam.

i am not interested in what the hadith says. The Quran says Mushrik are those who invoke others with ALLAH. Read the verses below.

So if you have a clear argument against Christians , you should be able to easily cough up quotes against them since it is no small matter; Muhammed clearly speaks of 'the people of the book' or the Kitabi so if you are speaking out against Kitabi you must have very clear arguments for this.

As i have said, Nasara are / were Ahlil Kitab. They were the remants of Bani Israel. They believe in the oneness of GOD and that Esa was a Prophet. Only some of them imitate those who did not believe that Esa was a Prophet. These happens during the Ministry of Esa which was plausibly in the 5th Century BCE! These concept tends to be repeated as it goes along in the centuries to come, that means, these concept were brough buy again in the ministry of the Last Prophet. Please read the Quran and try to comprehand the verses.

The Quran tells us in 0262

Indeed, those who believed and those who were Jews and Nasara and Sabeans, who believed in ALLAH AND THE LAST DAY and did righteousness, SO FOR THEM THEIR REWARD WITH THEIR LORD and no fear on them, and not will they grieve.

The above verse does not applies to the christians! Quran 0572 and 73 explicitly tells us who were the christians. They were MUSHRIK because they invoke some joker by the name of jesus with ALLAH! Now Christ is a Greco-Romans word for AlMaseh or the Messiah. All you know about Christ was what the New Testament tells you. The christians do not believe in the ONENESS OF GOD and they believe that Esa was the son of God and so on and so forth. These are not the teachings of the Quran.

What the Quran tells us is that Esa was an Isrealite Prophet sent to the Children of Israel as a Messenger to them. His Ministry was plausibly in the 5th Century BCE. His mother was Maryam, the sister of Harun who was the brother of Musa, the Messenger-Prophet who led the 12 Tribal Nations, to the Bless Land.

Your references so far have been quite vague, unstructured and do not relate to the Qur'an's respect to Kitabi. I will understand if you cannot offer such quotes.

My reference were vague or you lack the capacity to comprehand? I have shown you Quranic verses and NOT verses from the hadith.

I myself learned that i am Muslim when a Mushrikah told me to read Qur'an; it was HER intent that such reading teach me that i understand that as Christian i need to convert to Islam. I have i shown Quranic verses which points out who were the Nasara and who were the christians. To know who the Nasara are / were is that they believe in the ONE GOD CONCEPT AND PROPHET ESA WAS ONLY A PROPHET AND A MESSENGER OF THE ONE TRUE GOD, SENT TO ONLY THE ISRAELITE NATION. The Nasara are / were Ahlil Kitab.

Christians as per the Quran 0572 & 73, are / were those who follow the Monophsites doctrines - first practiced by those who disbelieve among the children of Israel and the Trinitrians doctrines - practiced by the remaining 11 Tribal Nations - , even before the existence of Esa.

However, your friend was right when she said "ALL you have to do to become Muslim is choose to worship the one god, live in peace with the world, etc.etc." This is refering to Quran 0262

A Google search quickly confirms what i had already learned
The Mushrik worships Allaah and worships other than Him, as for the Kaafir, then he rejects the existence of Allaah the Mighty and Exalted and does not acknowledge Allaah the Mighty and Majestic, and nor does he acknowledge a religion from amongst the religions.

You point to Q 05 72 & 73. It has proven difficult to find; i grab my Qur'an and find nothing that states anything near what you seem to be talking about. Can you just quote it please? Or supply a link?

Then i can get back to you on definitions of 'Christian'. Of course it would help if you would supply quotes for your opinions in this matter, as well.
For now, per the above quote and link, your definition of Mushrik at any rate was wrong. Why did you think Kitabi are Kafir? I have only so far heard the Hadithi talking like this.
                                        There are

                                        • Muslim
                                        • Mushrik
                                        • Mumin
                                        • Munafiq
                                        • Kafir
According to these quranic words/definitions christians are any of the ones starting with an M but they are NOT kafir. 99% of those calling themselves christian are mushrik or munafiq. I consider myself Muslim and Mumin.

Then i can get back to you on definitions of 'Christian'. Of course it would help if you would supply quotes for your opinions in this matter, as well.

What is your definition of christian?

For now, per the above quote and link, your definition of Mushrik at any rate was wrong. Why did you think Kitabi are Kafir? I have only so far heard the Hadithi talking like this.

I believe you have problem with English. My definition of mushrik is correct as per what you quote. Where did i said Kitabi are kafir? You are putting words in my mouth! All of what i quoted are from the Quran. It seems that you are twisting and turning my words.

                                          There are

                                          • Muslim
                                          • Mushrik
                                          • Mumin
                                          • Munafiq
                                          • Kafir
According to these quranic words/definitions christians are any of the ones starting with an M but they are NOT kafir. 99% of those calling themselves christian are mushrik or munafiq. I consider myself Muslim and Mumin.

Christianity are those mention in verse 72 & 73. THEY ARE KAFIR! The Story of Esa was known even before he was born. I will explain to you one more time...

Verse 72 is saying; those who believe that "ALLAH IS ESA, SON OF MARY" - Than these people are considered DISBELIEVERS

0573 - the Trinitrian Concept - the Trinitrians is a Sect of Christianity that emerged after the Ministry of Esa. the Trinitrian concept was know by the Greco-Romans, Persians, Indians and the Egyptions.

Verse 73 is saying; those who believe that ALLAH IS 3 IN ONE, is a DISBELIEVER ! THERE IS NO god EXCEPT ONE GOD!
