Wine is good according to Quran?
-
Wherever it means, there are some facts
- grapes can be used for juice without fermentation.
- wine minus alcohol can be a healthy thing (i.e. it is not the alcohol of wine that makes it healthy)
- Alcohol is toxic, a disinfectant. It is bad for the body, mind and society, regardless of what religion says.
- Alcohol is bad both in 1) it's effects on the body (liver, brain cells...), as well as 2) the effects on our mind/thinking/expression/judgment.

It cannot be that the word khamr does not at all refer to intoxicant but refers to mixing or a blend, i.e. the drink you can produce from the fruit?
If you read an ancient lexicon the word does also have definitions for mix, blend, changed, altered from a former state. I would turn my mind towards the produce when you press the grapes, and that is not naturally alcohol. Alcohol was likely discovered by mistake when someone forgot fruits. The attribute khamr for alcoholic beverage was likely added later as associated with wine regardless if it had alcohol or not. I do think khamr is not by default alcohol by looking at the definitions.
Grapes do have a health benefit, and this is better like Zulf wrote when it is not polluted by alcohol which acts as a blood thinning agent to the body. The fermentation makes a chemical called alcohol, a byproduct when the fruit decomposes, and that you drink?
Be well
