    Salam,

    I don't understand verse 2261.

2261 The example of those who spend their money in the cause of God is like a seed that sprouts forth seven pods, in each pod there is one hundred seeds; and God multiplies for whoever He chooses, and God is Encompassing, Knowledgeable.

    1. What is spending in the cause of God? If continuing reading the two following verses, it's charity.

2262 Those who spend their money in the cause of God, then they do not follow what they have spent with either insult or harm; they will have their recompense with their Lord, there is no fear over them nor will they grieve.
2263 Kind words and forgiveness are far better than a charity that is followed by harm. God is Rich, Compassionate.

    Is it charity?

2.The example given in 2161, I don't get it. Anyone have an input?

    Salam

        Greetings and Peace, all group

2261 gives the example of a single seed giving 700-fold return. Even a small charitable deed can have large (beneficial) results.

May ALLAH see fit to Guide all seekers.

        peace

And give the relatives his right, and the needy, and the wayfarer, and (do) not spend wastefully.1726

And when it is said to them, "Spend from what (has) provided you Allah." Said those who disbelieved to those who believed, "Should we feed whom if Allah willed - He would have fed him?" Not (are) you except in an error clear.3647

For the poor, those who are wrapped up in (the) way (of) Allah, not they are able (to) move about in the earth. Think (about) them, the ignorant one, (that they are) self-sufficient (because) of (their) restraint, you recognize them by their mark. Not (do) they ask the people with importunity. And whatever you spend of good, then indeed, Allah of it (is) All-Knower.2273

In Adam Smith's words, use the invisible hand if you have money.
