Prophet Abraham and Fire
-
Peace all,
The story of Prophet Abraham throwing into the fire by his people has been told in Chapter 21, 29 and 37.
Most of the ?Mufasareen? described it as a miracle that after throwing Abraham into the fire, God ordered it to become cool and peace for Abraham. But when we carefully examine all the verses of Quran which describes this story, we come to the conclusion that he was never thrown into the fire, rather they designed a plan against him but God has saved Abraham by migrating him to another place, and their plan became ineffective.
Nowhere in Quran has it stated that Abraham was actually cast into the fire.
As we all are aware that we find idioms, phrases, allegories, similitudes etc. in the Quran. In the same way ?O fire, be coolness and peace upon Abraham" is an idiom which arabas normally say when they are at the edge of war or fight.Consider following verse
" "
"Every time they kindled the fire of war , Allah extinguished it."564
It was thus a flight to another place like the Prophet?s Flight to Madinah.

Abraham moved from Ur the Chaldees to the land of the Kanaanites )! In the Torah we read about that in details.
May the Lord bless Abraham and hes children.
Good question, but remember that miracles are true, the 3 days-death of Jesus, son of Mary, the Messiah, the 3 days of Jonah in the belly of the Fish, etc. Our Lord says "Be" and it "Is".
Peace.
