Hello, I am new to this site. Actually just registered. So, I decided to ask my questions right away. My question is regarding the article I read on this site. Here is the link http//www.free-minds.org/5-types-people-quran
It basically talks about 5 types of people accoording to the Quran. My firstquestion Isn't the concept ''Muslim'' (submitter) and ''Mumin'' (the believer)one and the same? I mean both are represented (like some some other terms) quite vague. Doesn't the submitter automatically become a believer?
I mean I know there is a particular verse (4914) about the beduins - that they have submitted but not yet believed. But maybe this particular verse is exclusive to beduins as it was revealed in Medinan period and that beduins already believed in God. Many verses of this part of the Quran are exclusive like verse (3353) where it talks about believers entering Muhammad's house. We can't do it now as he has departed to God. hmmIf we think about ''Muslim'' just being a Monotheist who does good then wouldn't that also make Zoroostrians, certain Hindus and Christians, who do good, are Muslims by definition?
I agree about the Munafiqs - I think ISIS can be called as such, MSIS . But the problem is with rejectors and Mushriks. The verse 573 which talks about trinity mentions these people being rejectors. So doesn't that mean that trinity=Mushrik and thus Polyhteists also fall into the category of rejectors? That means that there are no 5 types but 4 types of people Muslim, Mumin, Munafiq and Kafir (Mushrik included). Rejectors can't be just atheists as they don't make up the majority of world population as it is mentioned in the article.
Maybe the rejectors are only those who deny the Quran. But that would also mean that the Muslims whom I mentioned Hindus, Christians (By the definition) are also going to hell. For example if a good Monotheist denies the Quran or mocks it?
Also, just a general question. Is it true from these verses that all Atheists, Agnostics and Polytheists will go to hell even if they are good people? I even have seen people who accept the Quran as a moral code but are atheists.
I am just thinking what if disbelief or polyhteism is a sin but if a person has more good deeds then he will admitted to heaven as being righteous? The verse 448 clearly says the polytheims is not forgiven. Then that would imply that half of Muhammad's companions will be in hell anyway even if they were good and followed Muhammad? Particularly verse 2439 for instance also support that notion
But those who disbelieved - their deeds are like a mirage in a lowland which a thirsty one thinks is water until, when he comes to it, he finds it is nothing but finds Allah before Him, and He will pay him in full his due; and GOD is swift in account.
And the following one (2440) talks about disbielivers but does not mention good or bad and just deeds. Why would a disbeliever in verse 2439 find God and the one in 40 find only darkness? Could it refer to those disbelivers who do good (39) and those who commit evil (40)? wow
Maybe the Quran is just wise in not putting people in categories, I think some terms are quite vague. As only God is the judge and decides who goes where. Could it be that we ourselves constructed these categories because it is easier to categorise groups? Maybe that kind of grouping I or the author of the article (whoever that is ) created by just looking that there are different words and explanations for it? I don't know really brickwall. If anyone could clear this up, someone experienced, that would be great!

Submitters and believers are different, and maybe only ALLAH knows what a person truly is. ISA submitters will become believers. It is also important to consider that anyone, regardless of current status, can ISA come to monotheism. It is sometimes a truth in this world that when we point a finger at another person, we point four fingers back at ourselves. ) Mastering our own selves, bettering the world, and sometimes inviting others to the deen is about all we can or should do.
Regarding different systems and who is Muslim, it depends on what a person means by Muslim...in the conventional use of the word, the answer is no, but in the literal sense, the answer could well be yes. In the literal sense, Muslim may be better spelled as muslim. All prophets came with the same message.
In the same sense, a person who follows the teaching of any Prophet (peace upon them all) follows the teachings of all Prophets. If a Christian is a person who follows the example of Jesus, then a person who follows the example of Muhammad is likewise a Christian.
Although the article was about people, consider the case of Satan.
234 And We said to the angels "Yield to Adam," so they yielded except for Satan, he refused and became arrogant, and became of the rejecters.
Satan was in no doubt about ALLAH.
Nobody will be done an injustice. Doesn't an agnostic actually conform to the meaning of the following ayah?
1736 And do not uphold what you have no knowledge of. For the hearing, eyesight, and mind, all these you are responsible for.
In monotheism, different religions are like having a larger net (instead of a smaller net) to catch more fish. Variety is not altogether a bad thing!
144 And We have not sent any messenger except in the language of his people, so he may clarify for them. But GOD misguides whom He wills, and He guides whom He wills. And He is the Noble, the Wise.
