    Peace all,

In the light of the quran, permitted for us is the flesh of all the animals of the livestock, except what is specifically forbidden in the Book (51)

We are given for examples of these quadrupeds (6143-144)

    1. the sheeps
    2. the goats
    3. the camels
    4. the cows

They are herbivores and ruminants contrary to the pig which is omnivore and non ruminant.

Please feal free to add other criterions to these two categories of animals.

The cows which aree vegetarian animals consumed animal flour and that induced dangerous problems of their health as well as for human health. Consequently, thousands of flocks were shoot down because of human stupidity evil
In this is a good lesson for us.

      Peace Marie, all

Do you think baheematul anaam(51) is restricted only to these four/eight categories or it is a wider term?

Does it include all of the quadrupeds? Does it include birds?

Also, do you think that 53`s blood/died of itself restrictions, with respect to the context(53 is seemingly a continuation/explanation/detalisation of 51 where bahimah is mentioned), do not reffer to sea/water animals and/or birds and other kind of animals?

        Peace Marie, all

I think it is a wider term.

Does it include all of the quadrupeds?

Yes but I think that the four/eight categories should be serve as a criterion.

        Does it include birds?

The god doesn't forbib neither sea animals nor birds.

Also, do you think that 53`s blood/died of itself restrictions, with respect to the context(53 is seemingly a continuation/explanation/detalisation of 51 where bahimah is mentioned)

        Yes

do you think that 53 do not reffer to sea/water animals and/or birds and other kind of animals?

In the light of the reading, the god doesn't forbib neither sea animals nor birds. I think 53 reffers only to land-game.

Let me know what do you think.

        Thanks

so you think that we can eat birds and fish that have died of itself and the blood of the birds?

Let me know what do you think

Currently i am confused and dont know what to think ...seems like blod, died of itself and dedicated to other than the god restrictions are reffering only to livestock animals and/or land game but i am far far from being sure of it...

          best wishes, Zlatan

            Peace Zlatan,

I reviewed my opinion, I think that 53`s blood/died brings additionnal informations not only for 51 but for all animals (livestock, bird, fish..etc)

              peace be upon you marie,

since the dead is forbidden on us, that means no meat is allowed, this can be scientifically verified as fact that we herbivores too

              "Hurrimat AAalaykumu almaytatu"

i'm not sure if "almaytatu" means just dead or dead meat (i looked at all its occurences and dead seems to be the meaning) but regardless all meat we eat today is dead and unless we eat the meat of an animal still living then it doesn't conflict with this, the problem i have with this though is that it seems we are clearly allowed to eat the meat of animals from other signs (ayat) such as fish, unless we eat these animals while they are living, im not sure, just my thoughts, what do you think?

p.s.-layth translates it as already dead, do you agree these are animals we just find dead rather then that what we have killed ourselves for?

                peace be upon you Idris,

since the dead is forbidden on us, that means no meat is allowed,

I understand the dead in the same way than Layth; what is already dead / dies of itself and we are not able to slaughter it..

53 Forbidden for you (2173) for dietary consumption are

                • Any Animal that dies of itself.
                • Blood.
                • The flesh of swine.
                • And anything (not just meat) that has been dedicated to any other than Allah (such as an idol, grave or saint).
                • Any Animal that has been strangled to death.
                • Beaten to death.
                • Dies by falling from height.
                • Gored to death by horns.
                • Animal eaten by a wild animal unless you are able to slaughter it while it is still alive.
-That which is sacrificed on altars (devotional stones or blocks in shrines considered sacred).

..unless we eat these animals while they are living

lol we are allowed to eat these animals after they have fallen to the ground lifeless /their body becomes still (53 and 2236).

The meat which is gorged with blood is not healthy to eat. I think this is why it is forbiden for us the dead (body + blood) and the blood.

..And after they have fallen to the ground lifeless, eat from their flesh, and feed the contented poor who beg not as well as the poor who ask. (2236)

                The god knows best
