    Peace.

Been a long time I visited the section, I just got sidetracked by school work. However, I am back now, I promise.
I am currently on a survey. I need your views on an "Ideal Muslim". Please share your thoughts and opinions. Thank you.

        Ideal muslim
Humble as he / she is egoless up to the point that he / she is not afraid to lose his / her own life (ego) and accept that every event need to done in the manner as the 'absolute' has planned it to be. Although it might not be in accordance to his / her own wishes...

Ideal Muslim, to live up to the word, is a sound/sane person.

            Peace Neptin.
            Welcome back.
An ideal Muslim will be someone who has his/her number one priority as "GOD ".GOD is in his/her mind 24/7".GOD is his/her number one friend, only Lord and number one Helper.
Someone who involves GOD in all his/her everyday life and business. Complete surrender and devotion to "GOD Alone",trying his/her best to live by GOD s commands/instructions(how best they understand them) in His message.
An attitude of mind. A tough discipline of the mind to be geared towards GOD s system of fairness, justice, love, forgiveness, humbleness and service to fellow humans.
A big challenge /jihad against the nature/instinct of the human being.
            GOD bless you.
            Peace

It's useless asking this question because you'll have so many different opinions. You have to discover it yourself and you will as long as you have the will and self belief that you will.

                Peace Rekkd.
Brother Neptin wants opinions for his survey. It is not a problem. You can give yours too if you wish.
As many as possible will be the norm.
If discovering Islam means different thing to different people that is to be expected as long as the common factor is to be a Muslim to GOD Alone.
                Thank you brother.
                GOD bless you.
                Peace.

Peace Neptin, I recommend reading Quran yourself, that way you can be
as thorough as your patience or time will allow.

To me, Live true to our heart, but we may be right or wrong as per many worldly rules and Hadiths, so leave everything to God alone for peace and guidance to goodness.

                          Peace,

A "muslim" in arabic translates as a "peacemaker", in opposition to a "troublemaker" as outlined in

                          68 The Pen (Al-Qalam)
                          6835

A "muslim" is a description, not a label or a trademark.

It is arguable about what Selam means, but the most used is Peace like you said although I do not agree with it.

Health is a kind of peace though. However, I would argue the root Siin-Lam-Waw means peace/consolation/comfort.

When you greet someone with Selam you wish them good health, basically, much like you did when a lot of people used to say "hail" before Adolf Hitler put that word ultimately to death.

                            Be well
