Taurat and Injeel has nothing to do with those human fabrications we call Gospel and Injeel. Taurat and Injeel are not even "books"

An English translation of the Quran - 6154 Then We gave Moses the Book, to complete for those who do right, and to fully detail all things, and a guide and mercy that they may believe in the meeting of their Lord.
6155 And this is a Book that We have sent down which is blessed, so follow it and be aware, that you may receive mercy.
6156 Lest you say "The Book was only sent down to two groups before us, and we were unaware of their study!"
6157 Or you say "If the Book was sent to us we would have been more guided than they!" Clarity has come to you from your Lord, and a guidance and a mercy. Who is more wicked than he who denies the revelations of God and turns away from them? We will punish those who turn away from Our revelations with the pain of retribution for what they turned away.
6158 Do they wait until the angels come to them, or your Lord comes, or certain signs come from your Lord? The Day certain signs come from your Lord, it will do no good for any soul to believe if it did not believe before, or it gained good through its belief. Say "Wait, for we are waiting."
6159 Those who have divided their system and become sects, you are not with them in anything. Their matter will be with God, then He will inform them of what they had done.

Book of genesis, promotes slavery, claims Lut had one night stands with his daughters, true?According to the (common interpretation of) Quran, God is jealous too. Same mentality of the interpreters, but I would call the Quran interpreters slightly more civilized and sophisticated, but only slightly.
If you look at Quran (as traditionally interpreted by people) you can clearly the deity is highly jealous, throwing people in Hell for having idols, even if it does not explicitly admit so. Anyone who would do like that is clearly acting upon jealousy. Fortunately that portrait of God is a clerical fabrication.
Old Testament and Quran have a lot in common concerning the tone and how they treat the deity. The so-called New Testament has another tone.
And I am being very objective, this is what one can derive from reading (at least a translation) and not neglecting one's intelligence.

Kitaab is not books, it is knowledge of God's laws that He rveals to humans. And all people have received God's books. It is not something particular to a certain ethnia or tribes.
And there cannot be any inconsistency in God's laws.

Surely "Kateb" is not book but more like record and could refer to someone's "knowledge bank". That the word became synonymous with book might be because one lazily referred to it as "a record" linguistically but it turned out to eventually connote book which comes across incorrectly when deciphering Quran which uses the word properly.
I would say Kateb does not always refer to the explicit knowledge of God but it simply refers to something similar to knowledge in general. For example, David/Dawood was given Al-kateb Wa Al-Hakmateh which might translate as "knowledge and wisdom". So David was taught many things which served him well. And knowledge and wisdom is better than any materials in the world.
Secondly, the usage of Al-kateb as book does not sound natural in the contexts. Quran was evidently made written about 1400-1600 years ago and the modern Arabic script emerged around that time (from between 200 AD to 500AD), but still previous prophets were seemingly taught "the book" thousands of years earlier. Then it does not sound logical to translate Kateb as book.
And there does not exist any copies of any earlier script displaying exactly what Quran says, not even fragments of one book, so the probability that Quran was made earlier is very low.
If you find a translation of "portion of Al-kateb" this means "a portion of knowledge".
