After such a radical translation/meaning of word Islam. A natural inquisition would be, how such a meaning can fit into context of other words of Quran in given verse? A fair question and the answer to the question is provided below.

The obedience to those fleeing from becoming vice free, indeed, that it is a total substitution of the opinion of one who doesn?t engage in worship. Those who are brought to the departed collection of principles. Despite, and even after this, why they are ignorant? The knowledge was sought-after among them. And whoever hides, due denial of all benevolence, from signs of one who doesn?t engage in worship, then indeed one is swift in reckoning.
