Hi Everyone

Hi Everyone,
This is my first Time on a forum (as a member) and not for looking for directions to fix my laptop.
So forgive me for posting things (like this) in the wrong topic. But after making an accounts and then thinking I have to get back on that.
I am trying to find my way to God in Islam. I'am a believer. I just debate too much inside my head (sometimes close friends)I have read (most) of the koran, a translation, because I can't read/write/speak arabic, the Bible. I have tried to read the injeel and honestly not easy to read
I have been spending the last two years (intensely) trying to find my path. This urge to soul-searching was no longer a low priority. My dad passed away.. and eversince...Thats why I am here.
My familymembers from both sides are Sufi, and In a way I feel this connection with Sufism, but I want to feel my knowledge, but Im just dazed and confused about where to start? What book to read? Nezami Ganjavi? Shamse tabrizi? And translated by who?
I really hope someone on this forum can point me at a neutral starting point of Suffism
Thank you everyone.

Hey LightOm, welcome to the forum
I don't think you'll find any suffis around here, but there are few who hold their own beliefs but many are quranists. I haven't read any suffi book but I have enjoyed some rumi's Love's ripening, few quotes from shams and few others and moved on.
In my opinion, there is no book that will make you walk the path of God but most books will introduce it, let you know of it, but God is the One who guides and really walking the path is an action that happens in your real life and that is no book.
It tests your willingness to walk the path and tests your belief in the existence of God in your life, or should I say the existence of your life in God, will you open up to it or ignore it.Ignore God's presence in your life or open your arms to His open arms and let God help you walk the way like a baby learning to walk.
Maybe the best thing to do is look for God's presence in your life, first. I'd say, like many suffi say, to look within.Take care. handshake

Hello Lightom,
There are some ideas of Sufiism in my concept of spirituality, but that is probably a coincidence and more because in Islam, Sufiism is the most spiritual concept. I can therefore not give you any recommendation on Sufiism.
Be well
