    I have been reading the post in the Salat threads and noted the following;

    https//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?action=post;quote=58476;topic=10564.10;last_msg=58476#postmodify

7022 Except the MUSALLEEN. (Who are Musalleen? NOT the so-called ritualistic praying ones).
7023 ----- MUSALLEEN are those who always follow the Divine System.
7024 ----- And in whose wealth and possessions is a KNOWN RIGHT.
7025 ----- For him who asks for help, and for him who is deprived.
7026 ----- (And Musalleen are) those who have conviction in the Day of Judgment. And hence, in the Law of Recompense.
7027 ----- And those who are fearful of their Lord?s Law of Requital.
7028 ----- (They know that) Verily, their Lord?s Law of Requital makes no exceptions, so that none can feel secure.
7029 ----- Those men and women who preserve their chastity.
7030 ----- They have intimate relations only with their spouses ? that is, those who are rightfully theirs through wedlock. For such relationship they are free of blame. (?Aw? = Or = That is = And. 235-7).
7031 But anyone who seeks beyond this, those are the transgressors.
7032 ----- (And Musalleen are those) who guard their trusts and duties assigned to them, and their pledges, as a shepherd guards his flock.
7033 ----- And those who are truthful in witness and stand by their testimony.
7034 ----- And those who consolidate and protect the Divine System.
7035 ----- (Musalleen are the ones who collectively build it on earth and) inherit the Paradise in the Hereafter. Such are the honored ones.

I noted the above associate 7022 to 7035 with l-Musalina.
But I think this is merely implied but not specific.

From my reading I understand only 7022-23 refer specifically to l-musalina.
The other verses do not refer to l-Musalina but merely to Muslims in general.

      No longer a Sunna-rejecter

When you read it in context, you will see that first it talks about the kafireen/ingrates/disavowers and the retribution they will get. Then It talks about turning away/"tawalla" which is the opposite of turning towards/"salla". Then it goes on to describe those who turn away and says they are stingy, hoard, is miserable when adversity touches him. Then it says "illa al musalleena" and talks about beng charitable and acknowledge the time of requital/"yawm al deen", fear the retribution of God, not having sexual relations with other than spouses and MMA, being trustworthy, etc.

So it seems kafireen turn away from God and are stingy, whereas musalleen turn to God and are charitable, honest, uphold God's restrictions, etc. Then, it repears "those who guard/preserve/maintain their salat" after mentioning all these good people/attributes. I think a strong case can be made that they refer to "al musalleena."

I am no longer a Sunna-rejecter. See 4:59-65, 62:2-4, 3:31, 4:156, 7:157 Messenger teaches and is to be followed and obeyed. Examples of revelation received which is not in the Qur'an: 3:123-126, 33:37, 2:187, 66:3, 62:9.
