Foremost it controls the husbands from sprouting talaqs at will.
Another is that if a couple has been divorced 3 timesit doesnt make sense for them to need to marry again. ofc many people have arguments against this too, but what other wisdoms do you see behind it?i heard that in arabia husbands used to keep a cycle of divorcing and taking back their wives so this stopped that. what else do you guys think.
