Why do people assume that secular muslims are bad or not true muslims? wow nope

truth be told i dont know much about this, but one thing is for sure that i am 100% sure about keeping mullahs outta the government. esp the ones we have today corrupted with hadith and spreading hate. does this mean im a secular muslim?

im also for gender equality- as in giving women more rights for divorce, inheritence, etc, and against any killing of gays etc.

i really think everyone should read the quran on their own without any outside influences, only using their fitrah. then we'll see so many things come up that were untrue.

there are some muslim countries(bosnia, azerbaijan etc) that have made things like polygny, triple taalaaq illegal, and have many other secular laws. these countries are also comparatively peaceful compared to the rest of the muslim world? what do you think?

personally i think you can be a good and secular muslim, i mean why not? its far better than fundamentalists, mullahs dictating.

Secular Muslims are seen as bad Muslims or not true Muslims because they do not wish to be governed by Gods law (Sharia)but instead want to be governed by man-made systems. For instance, you mentioned your support for gender equality which is in direct oppositions to Sharia in which women can have some rights but they are in no way equal to men.

Secular Muslims are rarely religious in the traditional sense.

Secular Muslims are rarely religious in the traditional sense.

The irony of course being is that God's law/Sharia is based upon human interpretation of what does and doesn't constitute a law made by God, and hence a man made system. A sharia system is based purely upon the evidence and resources presented by a human being to support it, and can be either for or against gender equality based upon interpretation.

My interpretation is that while some things are defined in a gender setting that vast majority of things aren't, and where they do, they positively discriminate either in favour of women or in protection of women; especially against existing faith based legal systems.

Believing in a faith requires belief in statements in that faith, which usually constitute rules. Sharia based Muslims therefore find it hard to understand why a confessed Muslim would not want Muslim rules, because they are unable to conceptualise a world without the boundaries of those rules.

To present a difficult example, I'm a Muslim in an officially Christian country via the Church of England, an Anglican Christian denomination, that offers no particular compensations to me as a Muslim. I could argue that a Secular country; that is one that favours a position of no faith instead of a different faith to mine may well be more advantageous to me if the current rules discriminate against me. A secular state could indeed just as easily discriminate me on the same basis, or offer me concessions by accepting my differences. Hence, its not a clear cut thing that secularism = bad. Sometimes compromise is a lot better than complete rejection of a system.

          peace

It means compromising God's system! Whether or not it is safer for a believer to live in a predominantly Christian Country then the current Islamic States, doesn't matter. God allows us to move around and live where we are safe to practice without fear of any kind of oppression! welcome

3195 "So their Lord answered their prayer, "I will not allow any of your deeds to be lost, male or female, each one of you is like the other. I will wipe away the sins of those who emigrated and were expelled from their homes and were harmed for My sake, and who fought and were killed, and make them enter Heavenly Gardens graced with flowing rivers as a reward from God. God has great rewards." (Safi Kaskas)

497 "When the angels seize the souls of those who have wronged themselves?scolding them, ?What is wrong with you?? they will reply, ?We were oppressed in the land.? The angels will respond, ?Was Allah?s earth not spacious enough for you to emigrate?? It is they who will have Hell as their home?what an evil destination!" (The Clear Quran, Dr. Mustafa Khattab)

No where does God say "...and then be besties with them and compromise my system." nope On the contrary! God says be fair and just with them; but do not take them as awliya (allies). We are strictly forbidden from siding with them or supporting them, to the point of combining and uniting God's system with theirs - compromising. elektro

608 " God prohibits you not from those who fight not against you because of your way of life nor drive you out of your abodes so be good and act justly towards them. Truly, God loves the ones who act justly. " (Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar)

6013 "O believers! Do not befriend those who have incurred the wrath of Allah. Indeed they despair of the Hereafter, just as the unbelievers despair of those buried in the graves." (Farook Malik)

What do you mean by "only using their fitrah".

I believe we should follow Quran as per 1736 with knowledge acquired by us by using our God gifted faculties.

Why do people assume that secular muslims are bad or not true muslims? wow nope

Because they are not a good loyal followers to the clerics, mullah, imam, ulema...
If everyone became secular, the religious elite will become powerless and unemployed..

It's a dangerous scenario, from their perspective, a threat to the religious elite's very existence and must be avoided at all cost..
Demonizing the seculars as bad, evil people and the enemy of Allah (or any other idols / deities which the religion considered to be sacred) is necessary to avoid such dangerous scenario to be manifested..

It happened in all religion, secular christians, secular hindus, secular catholics etc..
Thus the secular is the common enemy of the religious..

Religion is a man made system, Politics are a man made system. There is only God's system, no other! If we follow the Governor, then we cannot fail! Being aware of God is everything!

3967 "They did not value God according to His true worth. The whole earth is within His grip on the Day of Resurrection and the universes are folded up in His right hand. Be He glorified and exalted far above any partners they associate with Him."

673-4 "He is the One who created seven universes in layers. You do not see any imperfection in the creation by the Almighty. Then, look again, do you see any flaw? Then look twice over; your sight will return to you stumped and exhausted."
                sun
1061 "There is not an atom's weight in the earth or the heavens that is hidden from your Lord, nor is there anything smaller or larger than this that is not recorded in a clear Book."
