Hello. What do you guys think about Mahmud Taha's interpretation?
He claimed that the earlier (meccan) chapters are for all times and contain the message reminder of truth that there is one god and to warn us to abstain from evil.
The later verses were exclusive to Muhammad's time. To him and his followers.
For the record, the medinan chapters contain 100% of Quranic jurisprudence.So far, chapters like 9 Tovba (medinan) contain this "exclusivity".
Chapters where followers are asked not to come to Muhammad's home without permission or verses which direct to Muhammad's wives to stay at home (because of war). These are medinan also.These kind of verses really do support his claim. But I am interested in counterarguments.
