    Assalamu alaikum Brothers and sisters

    Whats your take on 385? It looks lke a contradiction but as we know there are no contradictions in the scripture of God, only our wrong interpretations.

    Nonetheless, would like hear any opinions about how it cannot be a contradiction

    Salaam

    Emil

      what u found contradictory in 3 85..

      make sure
      deen = system
      islam = peacemaking

      system of peacemaking
      system of submission to God and his laws
      the laws of God for every person is same from birth to death..

      example either its a peacemaker or trouble maker the law is ordering them not to kill/rob/rape/dishonest..
      one will submit his will to God will be known as peacemaker on the other hand the one who dnt care about the law will spread corruption on land..
      under whatever label/religion/race it dosent really matter..

      the creation of sects is wordly divide the system of divide is the system of devilish/satanic ..
      in which they start believing the leader of a specific nation will save them from retribution of hell..

      like in christianity and islam the salavation concept through christ and mohammad is very popular..
      due t which lot of people found themselves doing wrong and with the hope that their leader will save them from wrath of God becoz they belong to the system of peacemaking.. (think about it)

        Peace, yes as imrankhawaja stated read in context; other than names need to translate each word...

        384 say believe we of in the god and what descends upon us and what descends on Abraham and Ismail and Isaac and Jacob and the nations and what given Moses and Jesus and the prophets being from lord theirs not we differentiate between anyone among them and we are for him muslimuna/self-effacing
        385 and who pursued other than l-is'lmi/the peacefulness creed of so not accepted from him and he in the afterlife among the losers

        People auto-associate with behavior of ignorant troublemakers and if asked are they Muslim/Islamic?
        Would reply we speaking in English or old Arabic ? asking if they're peaceful similar to cow example?

        271 ? indeed it (f) cow not trained to raise the land and not watered the harvest musallamatun/docile ?

            Wa alaikum assalam.

            "And whoever desires other than Islam as religion - never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers."

            First people must know what Islam is.I think Islam is the universal message to submit to one god (to accept this fact and to submit ourselves to Allah, to know we are not self sufficient, that we are totally dependent on Allah to be alive and breathing, etc). This has never changed and never will. As long as people know this they cannot desire something else. They must accept the basic things like the Day of Judgement and that we are all responsible for our actions. When people accept this they will naturally search for what Allah wants from us and accept whatever that might be and don't accept anything that is only man made assumptions. When you know Allah is one, desiring something else will not be accepted. But first that person has to hear that message, an ignorant person doesn't know the options and cannot choose to not desire Islam. But Jews, Christians, Sikhs, etc can desire Islam just as much as people who call themselves Muslims. They all desire to follow the will of Allah. But it takes an effort to search for what means. I think this verse talks only about what we desire after we have all the options. Some desire atheism, some polytheism after being exposed to the message of one god. Those will not be accepted since they rejected this without bothering to search for knowledge.
