In your speculation, why do you think Allah allowed the sects & hadith to exist?

Ofcourse we can never fathom Allah's wisdom.
But does anyone have any interesting speculations?
All we do know is that these have corrupted islam, made life hell for women, created absurd stories and sayings of theprophetSAW, caused violence and terror.

As the Qur'n insists and all true religions insist, everything return to God. So why did God make them aart to start with?
Because he wanted to, He wanted things or beings to go away from Him and then come back to Him.
And he has created all manners of being away from Him and of returning to him. Hadith, disease, persecution, humiliation, treason, are some of the things that take us or keep us away from Him or which we find in our way back to Him. Indeed it is our reason of being, to have a destiny in this world and come back to Him through it. It is our polishing.

Every prophet and messenger along the line of human history has enemies that misinterpret/change/corrupt the message and create some sort of false religion, the "Muslims" are no exception.
GOD allows these human devils this choice.
Why? so that they can appeal to other humans who follow them and do not really believe GOD and His message and accountability ( day of judgement) i.e they do not value GOD as GOD should be valued- They render lip service to GOD s words- The words of men(Hadiths) are more valuable to them than the words of GOD!!!
Despite GOD insisting that His words never run out,we somehow lean towards the words of men hoping they understand GOD s words better than us. A grave mistake to make, it amounts to Shirk.
GOD must try us to bring out our true conviction.
GOD bless.
Peace. -

I think Hadith are a rehearsal of what happens when an empire establishes and grows. Quran doesn't have (is not meant to) laws to manage this empire. These laws were a part of secular government. Obviously, of the winning fraction. As we know Ali lost. Thus, Uhman's followers succeeded. The hadith were attributed to Muhammad as a reference to his prophethood. It was successful and the pluralist approach started the golden age. Soon after it turned into a religion.
I also think the hadith protected the Quran. The two were separate ( unlike the bible) and the former was the main surce of laws. Thus, the hadith were altered but the Quran wasn't. The latter was simply "left" aside ss a revelation. There was no need to change it. That is a very smart approach tbh. )

True but hadith have caused so much trouble. Morally, socially the absurd and controversial things in them. I could never go back to being a sunni/hadith follower.

This happened because there was too much focus on it as a mean of worship. Soon it became dogmatic (during collonialism). Today, it is simply laws and regulations of a medieval era. It has no place in today's jurispredence or international relations. Thus, countries like Saudi Arabia are quite isolated.

292 -3 Did the people think that they will be left to say "We believe" without being put to the test? We had tested those before them, so that God would distinguish those who are truthful and so that He would know the liars.
