Thank you all, Zulf, goodlogic, comrox, reel, missmarple, imrankhwaja, huruf, everyone on this forum. Thank you again for helping me.

I am going to book an appointment at the end of this week. Hopefully I'll get a doctor who is kind and understanding and can get me on some light medication + behavioural therapy, whatever helps. Anything. Please pray it all goes well I do feel nervous.

I think it was Zulf who said this but you were right. this ocd was like feeling withdrawal symptoms after feeling the rush of new knowledge by quran-only. I think I realized what was causing me disturbance.

It was almost like I was worshipping the quran, because i expected it to give me all the solutions and all the answers. I no longer want to categorize myself as 'quranism', because this is almost what that implies. Rather I'll take the quran as a source of guidance, as we all do. I may call myself 'quran-alone' for clarification...but ofcourse faith is so much bigger than just one book, eventhough that book is a source of guidance.

God is so much more than just one book. I was limiting my whole concept of God to just one book, hence I felt enclosed and suffocated and these thoughts built up. God is so much more than just one book, after reading some very interesting threads here I can even say God is more than any religion as well. He's so much bigger than that.

4153 We will soon show them Our signs in the Universe and in their own souls, until it will become quite clear to them that it is the truth. Is it not sufficient as regards your Lord that He is a witness over all things?

I'm learning new things...different things. Things that are helping me and opening my eyes. I don't want to share all those things right now...as these are still just seeds sowed within my brain. The only thing that can water them to grow is patience and wisdom. And strength. These 3 things I need to block out what Im feeling. Who knows where this journey takes me. I cant be afraid anymore. I need to trust where I'm going. All these thoughts were coming because I was afraid. I wont be anymore.

9 40 Do not grieve; indeed Allah is with us.

And if I ever feel the thoughts about the Quran coming back to me again I'll think

202 We did not send down to you the reading so you may suffer.

This is just one journey. And there are truths I discover, I just need to be humble and patient.

But for the sake of my life, I cannot let this disrupt the hours on my clock. Please pray all of you any intrusive thoughts I may get never disturb my life again, and that I'm able to subdue them, or that they go away. I just need to be strong.

    Peace. pr

P.S if anyone knows truthseeker11 I'd be really grateful if you could tell me whenever they are online.
    Thank you all again.

You are very welcome, baitachal. If a forum like would not serve for people like you, like us, what use would it be?

On the other hand, it is because of questions like those you put forward that other also learn.

We may have the feeling tht nothing comes any more out of many exchanges, but there is always something that keeps us on line, bcause you never know when something you did not hope for, comes up.

So thank you too and hopefully in turn you will be in a poosition to help other at another time who may be like when you came to this forum. We all I think have gone through similar things.

group group group group sun sun sun sun sun

        Salaam

I personally think this forum is a gold nugget in the big world. This forum is full of new insights waiting for the right time to jump at you, and it is because of all the wonderful people here.
Wish you all the best. Wish you a life journey lined with insights, improvement, growth and wonderful relations.
          Do hang around here!

ps. Do you know the difference between Joy and Happiness?

Joy is from within; Happiness is from outside.
Joy is unconditional; Happiness is conditional.
Joy comes from Peace Within; Happiness comes from Lack of Unhappiness.
Joy is your own natural state at the core of your real Being; Happiness is a sensation of the mind and body.
Joy is healthy; Happiness is addictive.
Joy lasts as it is unattached and independent; Happiness depends on the circumstances as it is attached to this world/conditions/body.
Joy can never be taken away from you by anyone; Happiness can be stolen in a second.
Joy is yours; Happiness is borrowed.

I wish you, and everyone else here, Joyful Peace! sun

I hope you are doing good.

It was almost like I was worshipping the quran, because i expected it to give me all the solutions and all the answers.

Guess what? That thing was inserted into my head by the sectarians in the beginning with their so called combat kit. They'll keep asking you for "details" they get from their iHadith 2G, 3G, 4G and beyond (not sure how many times they edited it). But then something came in my head. Notice the US constitution. It is infused with many of the central Quranic laws. Whatever policy is made in the country must abide by those or they risk getting shredded. This is how it is all supposed to be for us. You can follow anything as long as it is in line with Quran. God doesn't seem to approve irrational, traditional, oppressive laws.

Fact the idea that hadith details Islam is stolen from Talmud being the details of how to live as a Jewish person.
