How d'you guys feel about Islam being the fastest growing religion? (or so say)

It scares me too, I haven't liked being surrounded by traditional muslims ever since I abandoned sunni-islam, some of them are very intolerant and won't even recognize me as muslim, instead I am seen as an apostate and an innovator brickwall
I don't like this hate I am feeling though for them. I don't know why it happens. They're so so I tolerant. Haha forget the muslim brotherhood doesn't exist. I don't know.

I usually bypass this by being more knowledgeable about their Hadith and Schools of Thought than they know themselves. Then I plant seeds that gradually sprout that there might be another way than the way they were indoctrinated in.
I tried to do that too at first, but I stopped trying as soon as my own mother accused me of being THE "dajjal" for having such "deceptive" beliefs. giveup

Well, can't really blame you, it is really hard not to harbor any dislike for a people that can't even tolerate the fact that we exist, I mean have you ever heard them talk about us? They talk about us as if we were some kind of a disease to their community. I don't mean all of them of course, my best friend is a sunni-muslim and he is completely fine with the fact that I reject the hadith, I just mean the ones that can't help but cringe and mock when they hear about us, those are the kind that I am not very fond of...

but most importantly, we have God, and sufficient is the Lord is he not? yay -
I have been hearing that for a long time. I am not sure if it is me or the trend. I am coming across too many people (mostly young) who now support Quran and reject hadiths. They are doing this on sites I expected to be pure sunni wovens.
But then there are also those who fell for ISIS' Ponzi scheme. God knows how many are dead now and will be dead!

I also realize it can be a feel-good, self-praising urban legend.In any case, homogeneous systems will partly be broken up when interaction increases. Quran-alone will definitely keep increasing its market share... thanks to internet. Also, all systems will be scrutinized more thanks to information spreading rapidly and easily.

basically if you say system(deen) islam(peacemaking) is increasing day by day.. its true..
we have advance technologies(cctv)due to which people are forced to behave like peacemaking
the laws and societies are focusing on human rights more than before..
the increase rate of education in remote areas change the ways of people
the introduction of internat to all over the world provide access to online libraries and tools..
advancement of media..changing label (sect) business in real islam(peacemaking) hold no space..
when somebody convert from sunni to shia, or christian to muslim or mslim to athiest .. or whatever label it has nothing to do with peacemaking..if you overall look in to God alone people its growing faster than before , due to the facitlites we have in modern era and young generation is taking interest in it..
before that it was death threat to oppose the views of traditionals due to lack of tools and knowledge ..
the overall ratio of peacemakers are increasing .. -

Numbers mean nothing (on a long-term basis). Look at the history of the catholic church in earlier centuries. Though my knowledge in history is rather poor, I can see some parallels to Islam, The catholic church had even more power than Islam in Muslim-countries because of their centralized system with the pope. And they had invented traditions, which are not founded in the Bible (for example worshipping Mary and worse things). Where is their power now? Anyone, who is interested might read about "sola scriptura" (= follow the Bible only), the term Martin Luther created. Here is a parallel to "Quran only".

I don't like it, especially with the west. I'd prefer the West turn to a more unitarian version of Christianity rather than embracing mainstream Islam. I don't want a Muslim dominated world where I feel even more isolated and discriminated and my views are even more censored.
During the early months of 2015, I lived with a Sunni housemate who questioned me for not attending Friday congregational salat. When I told him that I held a different belief on salat because I abide by the Quranic injunctions exclusively and so cannot join their salat, he attacked me. Started calling me a covert Christian that has been deceiving Muslims. So, in the end, I had to keep my distance from him in other not to lose my head. Of course, most mainstream Muslims are generally nice at face falue, but underneath they subscribe to a zealous and supremacist brand of Islam that while not necessarily violent, marginalizes and suppresses minority religious groups.
I do not expect traditionalists to embrace me. Hell, my own family rejected me. But I expect a level of respect from them. Stay out of my way, and I stay out of your way; this is what I expect. If I can't get that now, what are my chances in a Muslim dominated world?
