Right, this question of twret and enjyl is going to be sorted out right now.

I forget the exact reference but you know what I am talking about. "therefore let the people of the enjyl judge according to what god has inspired therein".

1st thing - the word enjyl is unlikely to be a pure Arabic word. It possibly could come from n-j-l meaning 'descendant', in which case this can only be purely descriptive. It is much more likely to be an Arabization of the Greek eu-aggelion, 'good message' which in turn was Aramized into 'ewangleeon'.

2nd thing - the eu-aggelion could only have been a single message emanating from the mouth of the messiah 'eysaa. If the qur-en was revealed in around 600AD or whenever then there is plenty of evidence to show that the eu-aggelion as we have them now are pretty much the same as they were before the qur'en's revelation. The 4 gospels as we know them were canonized before 600AD as being the 'authentic ones' and the others were discarded. These other gospels such as Thomas, Nazarenes, Infancy etc don't really contain anything one can regard as being in line the qur'en's rationality. If you see them for yourself they appear to blend in some mythology.
HOWEVER that is not to say that the canonical ones don't either. What we have to do is exactly what god has said "judge according to what god has INSPIRED" to do this we need to study these texts as ardently as we study the qur'en. We can suitably deduce the bulk of the message of the messiah from the scripts that we have.

As for the twret, there are some references in the qur'en to "an eye for an eye", not eating that which parts the hoof, quite a few elements of moses experience in Egypt and so on. In addtion god says in the zbwr that 'the righteous among my servants will inherit the earth' - ALL of this can be found in the present day Masoretic, Septuagint, Peshitta and Receptus texts.

What WE have to do is use our judgment to decide what is from god and what is not. The harmony of the texts can be accomplished by some significant hard work.
