I was just looking at the membership stats. We only have 150-200 active users. This is a decline from the peak in 2008 of 387.
Out of 100,000 registrations only 0.2% retention .... basically zero. I would have expected numbers to have grown.

Are there other Quran alone forums that people have joined? Facebook groups etc.

Where is the biggest online gathering of the Quran alone community?

Based on the stats (i.e. new topics/posts) the peak was 2007-2010.

Most of the registrations are likely spambots. In all forums I'm a member of, it is only a small minority of users who actually post.

There are a few Quran based islam forums, but the only English language one I'm aware of that is the same or slightly more popular than FM is ourbeacon.com

There are loads of FB groups however. I think with the rise of social media, many users will post/prefer there. Personally I think FB is rubbish for in-depth discussions as it just doesn't have the functionality for a discussion platform (but to be fair it's not meant to be one).

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

        Peace

I'll assume with so much out there on the web people frequent various things since there are various choices. There are also people who join forums as lurkers, just interested in the content moreso than in participation.

The more it grows the more sectarians will do anything to block it. The site is banned in certain Middle Eastern countries.

But to answer your question, I would say you may find this one interesting
          https//www.facebook.com/groups/QRACSN/

I am not sure if its members are active. The group requires admin to approve those who want to join.

Did some users get deleted last time when the whole data loss problem occurred? I noticed some threads don't have all the posts anymore.

            peace,

Did some users get deleted last time when the whole data loss problem occurred? I noticed some threads don't have all the posts anymore.

If users signed up during the time of the data loss then their membership would have been deleted when forum was restored. If I recall correctly the data loss was minimal. They could simply sign up again.

Some threads may not have all posts due to the minor data loss issues in the past, deletion of member posts by admin, or perhaps other reasons etc.

I created a Qur'an alone community (called subreddit) on the social media site Reddit about a year ago. We've small (at the moment, we only have a little over 200 subscribers). We only have a few active members who regularly post or comment, so most of the community consists of lurkers. Nevertheless, we've grown slowly but steady over the last year. On average I would say we gain a new subscriber or two every couple of days.

I agree that Facebook is a huge outlet and those pages/groups are definitely the biggest communities.
