The reasons they list about why sex before marriage is wrong have practical foundation and can easily be connected to an individual?s own benefits. One does not need to be Muslim to understand or agree with those. But in Christianity, someone remains virgin because of another being or person, typically the future husband. I do feel like shooting myself in the head when someone uses their belief to evaluate the views of virgins coming from other belief systems.
With exception within "Matriarchal Religion / Tradition"... an example of such is Mosuo Religion/Tradition.

Children never asked who is their father as the conception of 'father' didn't even exist within their mindset..And men will help taking care of children born by women within their own household.. even though the sperm for that children was not coming from him...
With women owning all property, 'marriage contract' is not required... women (and men) can change their sexual partner as they wishes.. It's the women who choose which men that they would like to have sexual relation with..
Now here is the interesting fact, even within such 'sexual liberal' tradition, most (not all) of the people there stay 'monogamous' or having only one sexual partner for life... Thus it seems to be that Human are generally monogamous species.. by nature..

I know about that group. Studied about them in cultural anthropology many years ago. I guess what is now written about them shows the awareness program of Chinese government is working. I mean they are more organized. I was disgusted when I first read about them. Not sure now, but at the time, my book spoke about how they practiced incest. The Chinese government wanted to introduce normal family and marriage to them. It turned out to be hard for some reason. The biggest challenge was to teach them to get married like how universally it is done.

I am not sure how to explain this. Kinda complicated to put it into words. Holding off in the relationship seems to keep things fresh and innocent.
