My time, like your time, is finite, thus I choose not to spend my finite time analysing your translations until I see something semi-credible. All my opinion of course.

Dear Wakas, let us not Critique based upon opinions, which means beliefs.

    1. You claim to be Quran only guy. Which means Quran is important and in your opinion you are spending your life based upon your understanding of Quran.
    2. Your are a moderator of a website called "Freeminds". Which implies you consider yourself as one with freemind.

Now for someone who has above badges on his chest. Isn't it of prime importance to at least analyze critically, analysis of word Allah. Which has been on this vary web site for almost a decade now. The analysis of Allah has been posted with all rules used. This word only is enough to demolish all religions of the world including Islam. If you can't find time in 10 years, I am sure you don't want and you never will. Then please take those two badges off your chest as you do not deserve to carry. It is not personal. All based upon facts.

Improved and hopefully final version of translation based upon only language rules.

      Surah 109 1

A warning to all those, hiding required knowledge to gain happiness by fully developing one?s abilities, use your rationale to express

( it?s root is . This root belongs to class of verbs that are called by Arab grammarians as , meaning verbs of mind plus having a as second letter of root puts it in classification of . When this class of verbs are changed into imperative, these lose the ?waw? due , third rule. Now let us put this much knowledge to understand the meaning. Root?s meaning ?he said?. Now please bear in mind it is a verb of mind. Furthermore, no words can be uttered, without thinking or using rationale, first in the mind. Plus, it is in an imperative form. Hence, it?s meaning as ?Use your rationale to express?.)

( there are three words here. is vocative particle for calling out people near and at distance. a relative or interrogative noun meaning ?he who or whoever? and finally a particle to raise attention or arouse from sleep or to give notice.)

( The ?Al? here is not of definite noun, but rather a contraction of ?allathi? meaning ?those?, ?ones?. a nominative masculine plural active participle from root kf f r this root has several meanings but due to syntactical context one above is picked.)

      Surah 109 2

I never hide, nor you are to hide.

(This verse is difficult to decipher the intended meanings of original author. The reason is that or Maa, has several uses. However, there are no described rules in the language to best of my knowledge to differentiate which meaning of Maa is intended in a given sentence.

Also, imperfect tense usually is considered as future or present tense. However, it is a far from the real concept, an imperfect indicative doesn?t express any idea of time; it merely indicates, a begun, incomplete enduring existence. Keeping the preceding in mind, after a negative particle the imperfect retains its general idea of incompleteness and duration. Hence, it is translated as ?never? above.)

( this is a first person imperfect indicative from root ayn b dl ( &#1583. The root meanings are ?he worshiped?. (A friend objected to use of word worship here. This prompted research of whole root from multiple lexicons). What was discovered is that the meaning of worship for this verb is only used if god, a false or a devil is the object. However, in this Sura none of this happens to be the case. Hence, I am changing meanings to other meaning of ?withheld or hide?.)

( Maa here couldn?t be considered as interrogative. Why? Due concept in first part of the verse plus meaning of Allah as ?one who doesn?t worship?, therefore, it must be a negative Maa here. When imperfect indicative is after the negative particle Maa it takes the meaning of the present.)

      Surah 109 3

Hence, you don?t be hiders, nor I am hiding.

      Surah 109 4

Therefore, I can?t be a hider of what you have hidden.

      Surah 109 5

Hence, you don?t be hiders, nor I am hiding.

      Surah 109 6

You have your reason and motive for your mode of conduct and I have mine.

Here is what I know about your translations so far

        1. you frequently change your translations

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

Dear Wakas, what is it with this approach that you feel is wrong? Is getting closer to the real meaning/truth should be more important or ones ego? I will not stop in changing until I am reasonably certain of being close to the truth.

Mazhar please check the difference between, brain and mind. What you are pointing out is a function of brain. All animals are capable of raising their hand.. However, they can't have a discussion like we are having. This is because we have minds. By having this discussion we also happen to be exercising mind's function which only humans are capable of carrying out.

Mazhar, I know you know Urdu. Hence, I am going to use a word of Urdu so that you can understand meanings of English word mind. Mind in Urdu means Aql. You tell me one animal who is even close to humans as being Ahle-e-Aql. We both will know the answer.

What makes you think animals are void of Aql? Level of aql is not the issue; even among humans level of aql or intellect varies.

That is your proof that an elephant is equal to in mental capacities of a human? Indeed most have a mind of this level and their ability to use rationale to be even less than this. Hence, so much difficult to grab the concepts presented even with evidence.
