We know there are many converts to islam who are honest and worthy people, just as there are many muslims amongst those born to muslim parents who are also honest and worthy people.

There are however those male converts to islam who convert seeking refuge from the "feminism" that pervades today "civilised" countries. They take as a fact that islam is indeed as misogynist as they themselves are, they wouldn't accept at all that it could ever be anything else and they expect hope to get "there", in that "land of asylum", the hommage and vindication and the compliance by women that theyso much crave for.

Many of the things they would like to be true of a misogynist islam may match certain attitudes of non convert mysogynist, but funnily enough, as far as doctrine is concerned, those converts misogynists go much further than non converts in attributing to God a dedicated and relentless misogynia.

Those "converts", when they do not find echo or applause for their rants and obseesions feel or at least act as if they were being cheated out of something.

That is another one of the scourges that are falling upon islam in this age. A very sad one, because although I know that amongst muslims Qur'an alone or God alone in this forum there are many who speak disdainfully of "traditional" muslims, and would not acknowledge that there are good honest people amongst them, the fact is that there is indeed a tradition amongst many "traditional" muslims of acceptance of differences of opinion, of patience and non judgement (as judgement would always be deferred to God). It is very sad that "traditional" muslims are taken as such pawns by the religious opportunism of sick misogynists. They do indeed have enough that their own "traditional" misogynists are there and they do not need to import any such commodities.

May God protect everywhere the people of good will who always defer to God from all opportunism and falsehood.

    Salaam

      Great topic, huruf.

I feel I should respond to this because some of my previous posts do express skepticism or pessimism for traditionalists which may have been misconstrued as general disdain or resentment for them.

Let aside religion, I have no issue with traditionalist Muslims. Many of my friends and virtually all my family are traditional Muslims. I know they are good people and I wish them no evil. If it were just simply this, perhaps I probably wouldn't have rejected Hadith.

The thing is that when it comes to Islamic aspects, many of these nice, responsible and honest traditionalists can easily becomes something else. I speak this even from personal experience
In the end, what ever I write in criticism of traditionalists should shouldn't be taken as generalization. I know there are responsible traditionalists, hadith acceptors who admit radical Islam and fight against it. But I will not downplay the existence, dominance and influence of the radicals in the community.

Indeed ,a very good and controversial subject.

Any one of us could have been any of those that we despise. dislike. Any one of us could change for the better or for the worse. Even worse any one of us could think they have changed for the better when they are changing for the worse.
In short, even if we have evidence against someone being "what we deem to be the worst person", we need to chose the best "strategy" to win them over.
This is where we need to concentrate on ourselves, very hard indeed, but we must try our best to be what we want others to become?

Our mind-set must be worked on daily to remove "our brainwashing" dogmas , assumptions and distrust of others.

I find myself fighting my thoughts/ideas/ways daily to stay out of trouble. May be you feel the same?
Put it this way, the more I reflect on my behaviour ,ways, relationships....The more I find myself to blame on what has gone wrong with them.
Nevertheless, we need to exchange views to find a solution of what is the best way to make others reflect.
        GOD bless.
        Peace.

Feminism is an ill on society and has nothing to do with God's message. I support human rights for men and women. I support individual rights. But I am 100% opposed to feminism. It is against God's design and not what it says it stands for. Feminist and female scholars are corrupting the message of God. The Quran is addressed to men. A big problem is that women, who are more driven by emotions* want to get rid of the teachings that men are managers/protectors/custodians (qawwamoona) of women and are responsible for finances, fighting, working, etc. Men and women should complement each other. Women should not rival men.

*Here is a good example from Huruf herself Makes obscene and outrageous remarks towards me out of nowhere and then claims she didnt do anything wrong and says I lied after I pointed out what she did. This is quite typical for women to do. It's simply a reality. They are highly emotional compared to men. That is one reason why the Quran is addressed to men and it is mainly our responsibility of implementing it. Women's emotional intelligence is beneficial in many ways, such as taking care of children, but in other ways, such as having logical discussions, it is not.

I am no longer a Sunna-rejecter. See 4:59-65, 62:2-4, 3:31, 4:156, 7:157 Messenger teaches and is to be followed and obeyed. Examples of revelation received which is not in the Qur'an: 3:123-126, 33:37, 2:187, 66:3, 62:9.

So you are getting bullied into feeling guilty about your opinions? Man up and stand up for yourself. The main brainwashing today is feminism, socialism, parliamentary majoritism (commonly referred to as democracy), etc.

The good and the bad are not the same. We both know that.
I pass brother, getting bullied is the least of my problems.
Fighting the "bad" with bad has not worked for us humans May be fighting the "bad" with good will work?
              GOD bless you.

How did Muhammad and those with him fight the bad? Did they complain on a forum? Or did they go public with their grievances and defend themselves?

How about Shuayb? Was he afraid of his people?

On the Day of Judgment, would you wish to have stood up for the truth more vocally? Or will you say "I did not want to fight the bad with 'bad'." Is the truth bad?!

                  Peace progressive.

                  So you have enemies?
I cannot say that to be honest, most of the folks I know are not fighting me about my ideas or threatening to throw me out of my home?
So far , I thank GOD ,I have not needed to defend myself.
I hope I am not complaining in this forum?
I am thanking the Lord for His blessing.
Oh and I am only afraid of not getting my Lord s approval.
I know ,I am a very weak human.
                  GOD bless you.
                  Peace.

Salaam, Neptin, and thank you for answering the post.

Do nto worry about your posts, although I see that you may have felt pointed out in mine. Actually, I was not after anyone in particular but after an attitude that I, and also othe people, habe noticed, that Islam manages to recruit really weird people, and particularly misogynists that are not wanted anywhere else. This of course is no help for islam which is undergoing a crisis from outside and from inside, both interrelated.

We all come from where we come. I can perfectly picture that somebody from a traditional background and having to suffer from the "niceties" of "traditional" societies may feel at times like wringing some "traditional" necks. I understand that, I have also felt like that and I understand it, no problem.

On the other hand, I know there are many good people, particularly men, who in the crisis we are have it very difficult, and when we speak in general on certain questions, I am very pained for them, because they do not deserve that, and when they are or feel at the receiving end of those criticisms, I feel very much for them, because they are caught between the misogynists' crudity and irrationality which they find irking and pompous and FALSE, and the fact that they are "classified" with those pompous ignorants "en bloc". We are being pulled this way and that and it is very difficult for many people.

Some people hate women and call women "feminism" so that they can have a free go at them without confessing to their aberration. I feel that people who love good men cannot let that pass. Humanity has got here because there has always been good men. Male prophets were good men. And without being prophets there have been many good men. We cannot confuse the good with the bad. We owe to good men to call off the bluff of the misogynists. They speak as if they had the God given representation of malehood. NO. I can't just sit and shut up when the reputation and the honest feelings of many people, honest males, are being tramppled. I can't just sit and shut up for the injustices and mistreatment of women, and I cannot just sit and shut up when the decent males are being trashed by the women trashers, because ovbiously it is the stand of malehood these trashers are usurpating.

So, no, misogynist is not a sinonym of male, but a sinonym of sick. May God guide all God fearing men to His Mercy and protection, and may God give womanhood as friends and allies good males that are not arrogant pretenders without dignity.

Salaam, Neptin, and thank you again.

                      1. Can feminism be only one thing?
                      2. What is socialism to you??
                      3. What are alternatives to democracy that are better?
                      4. Who is doing this brainwashing?
