What do you think is an acceptable and reasonable dowry? It would be good for you to qualify your answer by mentioning your country or living standards/prices/median income in your country.

Acceptable and reasonable is subjective to every individual. Besides societial/social/cultural expectations people have their own desires/wishes and wants and that's going to vary greatly because everyone has different cultures, backgrounds, needs and wants.
Besides lots of communities I know expect money in addition to jewellery some even furniture! so I don't believe you can get a simple cut out answer from a poll.
